If he can get us to the playoff with not much money, imagine what he can do with money. Agree with this, though I would throw OGS in if it doesn't come off with Hull

I'm afraid it does to me. If we won 1-0 today for example after playing like that against Leeds I wouldn't have come away happy, satisfied, but hardly any talking points were there? And that was the case too often in the Championship under Pearson, a lack of goals and miserable football but yet we somehow made the playoffs. I suppose our team reflected the manager, Mr Misery himself. And Hull are no different this season, maybe it's his way? If so his way isn't for me. I'd take him over Keane, Jones and Davies. But I'd much rather we went for a Mark Hughes or Di Matteo, a reappointment of Pearson brings no excitement. We need results fact! Pearson delivers stop complaining.

The way I read it was initially Clark flirting with the job, then a sudden statement that he didn't want the job. It read to me like he was waiting and wasn't approached.

Ok, im not against his re-appointment, but there is absolutely no guarantee that Pearson would deliver results. And all i was trying to illustrate before is that i was starting to lose faith with the owners decision making prowess. I'm sure other managers will have noticed they are trigger happy too. Considering the situation we are in now. NP would do fine. It would just be bizarre.

What we'll get is organisation, discipline, competitiveness, attitude, team spirit and a feeling of wanting to sleep through away games. But, as it doesn't look like OGS will be here - and I've not applied - then if the fans want Pearson back, why not?. If a goal a game is Pearson's idea of orgasmic title-challenging football I can always go and play golf. Improving City from their present indifferent standpoint would be easy, but improving my putting is a different and more complex challenge altogether.

Ok, lies, lies and damn statistics but Hull had 12 shots on target yesterday against West Ham (who had 2!). We were toothless in attack today. I know people will come back with Hull's poor goalscoring record but I recall times when we did attack reasonably well under Pearson. My biggest fear about Pearson is the Thracian concern, but I have some hope when I remember the attacking verve we displayed when Mark Davies was with us. I would hope that with serious backing he could bring similar talent to transform our woeful attacking play. I don't think it would be worse than what we have seen most games so far this season.

Should never have gone before and we have gone backwards in terms of results since he was forced out. You can guarantee he will not stand for any shit from anyone. If any of the players act bigger than the team he will have them out of the squad.

The fact that we are going for NP and approaching a manager in employment speaks volumes. We are a shambles. Considering our apparent lack of options I can't think of any alternatives other than Hughes or Davies. MON will not come back either. Yes, many of us complained when NP was here and delivering dour, predictable football at times but at least it generated results. The way things stand at the minute, I don't care how the next win comes, the fact of the matter is this league is so **** poor, one or two wins puts us in a strong position. As unbelievable as it seems, and as poor as we are, we're not far off the top 6. NP would bring what we are severely lacking in at the moment - organisation, a team approach, a strong unit both defensively and, hopefully, in an attacking sense as well - considering the personnel at our disposal this ought to be a given. He'd sort it out, I have no doubts of that. Taking it back to when he was "pushed" out of the club, thanks to Mandaric, we're still repairing the damage done there. Perhaps turning back the clock 18 months isn't such a bad thing. We had a direction back then, a purpose, an organised, effective unit. Now, we're a bunch of "names which look good on paper" and nothing more. We need NP.

I share many of your concerns Thracian, but I wasn't sleeping at Cheltenham and Walsall. I know they ere League One games, but if he can acquire players who are similiarly above the level of our present league then perhaps we can achieve similar results. By the way, I would love you to have a go. Not only for the attacking style but the fun we would have on here following the occasional defeat.
