RyRyFox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Best ever win ratio at the club, Good manager, got us promoted for league 1 in 1 attempt, also play-offs with not the best team in the world. Do you want him back? I definitely do!
m00nie Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 NO.. i would go for hughes di mateo davies then even jones and even take a gamble with ogs maybe then if im struggling NP
Swalker Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes. Best option !!! Did anybody else hear the rumour of him resigning this evening??
AyewJoking Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Ordinarily no but I darent think who the cluelss owners will appoint if we fail to get Pearson.
lcfc_amie Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes! If we can't get MON, Pearson is the next best option for me. I loved him when he was with us 1st time round! If he can get us to the playoff with not much money, imagine what he can do with money.
shass Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes indeedy. Straightforward, no nonsense, get some spine in the team, but mainly..... I got £20 on him at PaddyPower.
Stocker Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 The best of a bad bunch after MON and Clark said no.
themotivator Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 i just think it would be weird if he were to come back. He did a decent job (potentially an understatement there, but not much) compared to many of his predecessors. Hes not the revolutionary we perhaps need and i dont think that, taking into account what we have seen from both NP and the owners, that he will be part of the long term plans for the club. When i think about his team and the squad we have now, it is quite apparent that it wouldn't be as simple as him picking up where he left off. If he really wants the job then im sure he will be hell bent on improving on his last season in charge. It could be good enough for promotion, but then what? Surely he will know that the Thai's will want him replaced for something shinier when we are trying to establish ourselves in the top flight. As a manager coming into the club. I would find it hard to trust the owners now.
Foxhateram Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yep The bloke knows what he is doing in this league, has contacts in this country and knows what a good young hungry player looks like, and most importantly knows how to guide a team in the right direction. I honestly think that NP is the man to take us places. Before anyone tells me to crawl out of his ass, i will say this! I will bum him all night, because I believe in his ability as a manager so much. NP is the man to take us forward
Bert Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes please. How gutted were we all (bar Thracian) when he left? MON isn't going to come, Pearson is the next best thing, for me anyway.
RyRyFox Posted 6 November 2011 Author Posted 6 November 2011 Anyone remember Plymouth away when he came and spoke to the leicester fans? The guy is a nice guy, he got forced out by milan.

You cannot judge that the owners will sack him when we reach the prem they are likely to give him a fair crack of the whip in the prem I would have thought.
themotivator Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 You cannot judge that the owners will sack him when we reach the prem they are likely to give him a fair crack of the whip in the prem I would have thought. Not that likely really. I know i am maybe being a bit presumptuous. It is simply my opinion that sacking Sven when they did was a terrible decision. Of course i could be proved wrong. I dont think he was given the fairest crack of the whip really.
stourbridgefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Anyone who doesn't want Pearson back has fell for the Man City of the Championship lark and is no longer in touch with reality. We would be lucky to have him...again!

Why would Pearson take the job if he knew he was going to be sacked come the end of the season whether we make the prem or not?
Nickfosse Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes, do you think that had NP been manager going into the close season, with the budget Sven had and with a pre-season to get them playing as a unit with the fortitude required by this league we would be sitting 12th tonight? As much as anything, I would like Steve Walsh back as chief scout recruiting real talent, and NP reminding them nothing comes from the individual in this league, it is all about the team functioning as one (see QPR, Norwich, Swansea and Southampton, who each with some exceptional players all recognise that the whole must be greater than its parts).
themotivator Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Why would Pearson take the job if he knew he was going to be sacked come the end of the season whether we make the prem or not? Has he taken the job yet?
wurmer Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes please. How gutted were we all (bar Thracian) when he left? MON isn't going to come, Pearson is the next best thing, for me anyway. IYO how likely Bert??
Happy Fox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Has he taken the job yet? He will though I would have thought if you believe reports about a 400k compensation
PegguyArphexad Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Without a doubt. Top manager. Will sort this team out...
lcfcsnow Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I personally pay to support my team but also to be entertained, I don't buy into this it doesn't matter how we play if we win bollocks. I'm afraid it does to me. If we won 1-0 today for example after playing like that against Leeds I wouldn't have come away happy, satisfied, but hardly any talking points were there? And that was the case too often in the Championship under Pearson, a lack of goals and miserable football but yet we somehow made the playoffs. I suppose our team reflected the manager, Mr Misery himself. And Hull are no different this season, maybe it's his way? If so his way isn't for me. I'd take him over Keane, Jones and Davies. But I'd much rather we went for a Mark Hughes or Di Matteo, a reappointment of Pearson brings no excitement.
