Finnegan Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Hansa Rostock. Racist, scumbag, Nazi fans. And heavy metal pussies.
Tielemans63 Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Derby for me. I think it's because, as a kid supporting City, we seemed to always be in the same league as Derby and not Forest. Forest were top flight for so long and then plummed it in League 1 for s few years. I have an irrational hatred of all things Derby to be honest. I won't even visit the place unless it's for a game at Gay Pride Park.
Guest Bilo Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Coventry are an irritant. Think back to your school days. There were often three mates who hung about together; a wannabe hard kid who actually couldn't fight sleep with the IQ of a ham sandwich and an ego the size of Brazil, a smart arse who thought he was something really special and a comedic genius for interrupting the class with 'witty' remarks but in reality the class thought he was a dull and unfunny tosser. Finally there was the runt of the litter. He would be desperate for your attention and try oh-so-hard to fit in with the cool kids, but due to the fact that he was a funny looking little fvcker who usually stunk of sour milk, had NHS specs and quite possibly severe flatulence and/or halitosis you ended up feeling sorry for him, even if he was kicking the back of your chair and flicking paper balls at you in class in a desperate bid for attention. Yeah, Coventry are the third one. I'll leave you to guess which one is Forest and which is Derby.
Walshy5 Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 1. Forest 2. Derby 3. Coventry 4. Leeds 5. Man utd
John Matrix Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Depends where you live. I hate Cov scum and I live in Hinckley and most people around here hate Cov hinckley town is your local team, so you don't get a say in the matter.
Guest Bilo Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Hansa Rostock. Racist, scumbag, Nazi fans. And heavy metal pussies. Why can't we have songs like that about our rivals? I'd quite like a rivalry based purely on politics........
Hantsfox Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 I hate Forest most through bad experiences, but because i now live in Hants beating saints and pompey is more important.
Happy Fox Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Florist are the scum of the earth I hate them, Dierby are second and Chaventry are 3rd on the list
lcfc_til_i_die Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Depending where u are in Leicestershire matters, Hinckley, shilton, barwell lads hate cov, most up top end Loughborough, coalville etc hate derby and forest it's just simple geographics. As for me being an le2 lad I go with the masses and say forest because that's just how i have been brought up deffo sheep second and then cov
He's not bald Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Tigers ....and I don't mean Hull. O yes, hate those bleedin egg chasers more any other footie team!
Thracian Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 For me Leeds fosters the strongest rivalry, followed by Forest. Coventry is such a souless place it's hard to raise any emotion for the games and to call em grim is usually being kind.
Jaspa Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Red vs Blue Even though were gonna have a Snotting-man in charge again in a matter of hours.
I am Rod Hull Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Its Derby... Before the Clough factor came into the equation, Derby were our rivals and we theirs.... If Cloughy had`nt of been born, you`d have looked upon Forest like you do Cov....
The Doctor Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Its Derby... Before the Clough factor came into the equation, Derby were our rivals and we theirs.... If Cloughy had`nt of been born, you`d have looked upon Forest like you do Cov.... I was under the impression that before Clough Leicester - Forest was the game in the east midlands. I think it all depends on the area of Leicestershire you live in.
Kitchandro Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 I was under the impression that before Clough Leicester - Forest was the game in the east midlands. I think it all depends on the area of Leicestershire you live in. I'm pretty sure it was. Up until the 70s Derby were a non-entity and spent the previous 20 or so years in the second and third divisions, with us as Forest in the first for the majority of that time. Around the time Clough started to work wonders with the sheep, Forest went down, and then it seems we have been in different divisions half the time since.

I think it all depends on the area of Leicestershire you live in. My great uncle used to play for Leicester (After war years). Derek Hines, 4th highest goal scorer in Leicesters history and he said it was Derby (He was also with Derby as a youth).... I may be wrong but the old un`s may shed some light on it.... But i do agree with its where you live
Oh tommy wright Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Totally random I know but on a personal level always hated wolves mainly because of the old Steve Bull / Walsh rivalry. Also can't stand clubs in the north east and their over inflated view of themselves as the 'most passionate fans in the world'. Forest, Derby and Cov I can't stand. But let's be honest we have not got that 'real' derby game that the majority of other clubs have, which is a bit of a shame. But no great loss to us as city fans as we do of course support the greatest club in the history of the modern game. Ah shit I sound like a Geordie.
iancognito Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Despite the fact that all of our derby games during my formative years were against Derby and that were were always seemingly in the same league challenging at more or less the same level (play offs, mid table Prem etc) it's Forest for me. I couldn't get over the arrogance of their fans and the media's impression of them being this huge club despite their attendances always being about the same as us and the fact they'd won fvck all for years. I remember the year they came down after Clough left and they were on Central's big match programme just about every other week. You hear their lot on phone in shows and it's like it's still 1979 and they're supporting the English Real Madrid. Even when they were back down at their true level of Division One a while back they were still talking about the Championship winning team! Get over it. Quite honestly, when I check other scores theirs is the first one I look for, I hope the fvckers continue to struggle financially, continue to be amazed how a club of their size isn't playing Bayern Munich not Barnsley and continue to lose. Eventually, when they've been down here for another ten years they might realise that the Clough years were a fluke and they'll never be famous like that again. As much as my favourite ever game is the day we won 4-0 at Pride Park, it would have been so much sweeter if it had been at the 5hitty Ground.

Ah shit I sound like a Geordie. here we go, I knew someone would come out with this! Yes we do have a real derby, in fact we have 3, certainly as far as I'm concerned. Whether the majority of their fans care or not and whether they are all tinpot clubs with crap fans matters not, it doesn't mean it's not a 'real' derby game, it doesn't make it any less atmospheric and they mean a bloody lot to Leicester fans. Plus do you really think no Forest and Derby fans care? Of course quite a few of them do. And I can bet they are desperate to avoid losing to us, even if it's just to make sure they don't get verbally leathered by our fans everytime they come into contact with us. You sound like you've never been to a Leicester-Forest game before, you know you're in a derby match when you're in the Leicester end. I didn't realise how important it was until I went to the 2 games under Pearson, witnessing the 5-1 nightmare and the glorious 3-0 revenge at home. Were you in the away end at Coventry? Went to the Derby game a few weeks ago? You can't convince me that they aren't as 'real' as the majority of other clubs' derbies. I don't think having 3 local derbies is a shame, I don't feel we're missing out on anything at all

ACF Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Coventry last, because it's a 'Sky' derby. M69 DERBY OMG.
Guest MattP Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Forest.....but Sad thing is we don't have a real derby though no matter how many people try and convince themselves. Shame.
Tom17LCFC Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Forest for me, although I hate Man Utd the most. I don't view Cov as a rival, they just annoy me, like that one mate who won't take a hint when you're with a girl. always nice to get one over on derby as well, and leeds. don't like blackpool either
Finnegan Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Why can't we have songs like that about our rivals? I'd quite like a rivalry based purely on politics........ Well Peuts and Woolers have been writing their own version for a while but they can't decide on an opening line. They've literally been fighting over: "Every time I see Jimmy Willis / Chrissy P - ERECTION!"
Finnegan Posted 9 November 2011 Posted 9 November 2011 Whether the majority of their fans care or not and whether they are all tinpot clubs with crap fans matters not, it doesn't mean it's not a 'real' derby game, it doesn't make it any less atmospheric Errrr... it sort of does, tbh. If you're really that wrapped up in the idea of derby matches, go and watch an Old Firm game, a South Wales derby, Pompey vs. Soton, Newcastle vs. Sunderland, United vs. Liverpool, City or Leeds or - if you have the money - Hansa vs Sankt Pauli, S04 vs. BVB, Partizan vs. Red Star - the list goes on and on and on. Go expand your experience a little bit, come back and see if you're still in love with our local "derbies." We're just a couple of unfashionable midlands clubs with a generic, vague dislike for each other because we're close. It isn't massive, it isn't really a derby and it hardly evokes THAT much passion. Yes we're rivals, yes we care, yes Forest fans care more than they let on but let's not kid ourselves either, eh?
