TravellingFox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Personally, like most of us I'd like to see this whole saga put to bed. They're most likely in a search for a new manager now anyway so why cant they be the bigger people accept the compensation and the fact that NP wants to leave Hull and move on, really frustrating.
RyanB89 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 because they want as much compensation as possible
TravellingFox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 because they want as much compensation as possible Yeah, I understand that, just venting frustration thats all.
wellyfox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Wonder how Nigel feels about Top & Co wrangling over the price? Ok I would think he won't want em spending his budget will he.
fox in the sox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 ...also when you are angry about losing a good manager you don't really want to cooperate. When we have lost good managers in the past we haven't said 'just let him go.'
frozenoak Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 The silence is deafening and getting really frustrating.I know others have said this but NP could be getting some work started with the lads.I understand Hull will try to get the highest price out of us but the longer it drags on the more both teams suffer. Some have said LCFC should just pay whatever price(if its definitely a compo rangle) but our board cant been seen to give in to ransom demands as other clubs will follow suit when we target their players for transfer.
Babylon Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Hull will try and drag it out until they have found a new manager themselves, they will want the money to get their new guy then. All we can do to force their hand is start leaking stories about walking away etc.

It is all down to compensation and the fact Hull verbally agreed to one thing, then asked for more once terms were agreed between Pearson and his team, and Leicester. How big an increase Hull want, I don't know. There are talks of a tribunal though, so may rumble on a bit more yet.

Dan Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Sorry, there's a clause in Pearson's contract that he can go for £700k? Surely we just give them that and he's ours? Who'd be fvcking stupid enough to put in a clause like that.

Who'd be fvcking stupid enough to put in a clause like that. why is the clause even there... always on the lookout for a bigger paycheck

I cant remember where i read that but it also said we'd met that £700k clause!.Maybe that clause is for just NP and not CS & SW too and thats what the stumble is??

frozenoak Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 why is the clause even there... always on the lookout for a bigger paycheck It does seem a strange clause for a manager to me!A premiership club clause maybe.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 This is another Maynard thread isnt it?
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 It will happen, I assure you that. [/quote This year ?
Happy Fox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 StringerSport Ian Stringer Still nothing from #hcfc or #lcfc which is staggering. Not all's well with this deal that's clear, is it alive or dead? Fans need answers
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 I hear the hold up is because our owners won't pay the compensation due to release Shakespeare and Walsh. The fee agreed is for NP, but i hear that the backroom guys are on big money (175K a year when last at city i'm told)and that agreement must be reached. It'll happen tho, i'm sure of that.
