Not going to plan for you is it? :sweating:

Good job we've got the International Break for Pearson to eventually join with our compensation or resign leaving you with nothing.

Anyway it goes we'll get our manager

Enjoy, if he resigns he'll eventually end up somewhere else other than City or Leicester, if we get the required compensation then he will be made to sign an agreement whereby Leicester cannot sign any of our players for at least one year, either way it's very unlikely that any of our players will be following him any time soon

I bloody well hope so about the exclusivity clause! Result. The only player I'd want is the lad you've got on loan from Man Utd, Brady.

Just shows how little you know about your competitors eh. You may not want them out of ignorance but I can assure that NP will as he's aware of the quality they possess, which is why they have us currently placed higher in the league than your, in the main, bunch of overpaid mercenary SVE signings

Has that sh*te Ambitious was spouting last night turned up in The Sun yet?

No their website is still saying this as latest.

Pearson in £1m Foxes snag

Published: 10 Nov 2011

LEICESTER are involved in a £1million stalemate over Nigel Pearson.

Hull are resigned to losing Pearson to the club he left them for 18 months ago but want Leicester's cash-rich board to cough up.

But the Foxes are in no mood to be held to ransom, especially as they also have to pay former boss Sven Goran Eriksson £1m following last month's dismissal.

If they cannot reach an agreement, Pearson — who will get a £8m transfer kitty at Leicester — may be forced to resign as Hull manager.

Interesting though, they also report that Kebe at Reading wants an improved deal or he is off.....

Poss Jan target?????

all the people 'in the know' are now silent or are clutching at straws.

I dont think anyone knows if this is actually going to happen or not, even Pearson himself.

A huge opportunity has been missed to allow the new Management team to get a head start with our squad.

Over 400k this seems silly given the bigger picture and the money already invested.

NIGEL Pearson may have to quit as manager of Hull City if permission to join Championship rivals Leicester City is not granted in the next 48 hours.

The Tigers are demanding over £1m in compensation for Pearson who has been identified by Leicester’s Thai owners as the man to lead their club back to the Premier League.

But the two clubs had still to agree on a settlement figure last night leaving resignation as the only other option available if he does not want to miss out on the job.

Pearson, who took over at the KC Stadium 17 months ago, steered Leicester to the League One title and Championship play-offs before quitting in summer 2010.

He has now been offered a £1m-a-year deal to return for a second spell in the East Midlands with another £8m to spend on new players in the New Year transfer window.

Tigers owner Assem Ellam will only allow Pearson – who still has 19 months left on his contract – to leave on his terms.

It is understood that Leicester have been attempting to exploit a £700,000 get-out clause in the contract but the Tigers also wanted another £500,000.

I'm not ignorant at all, I respect some of the players you have at Hull. But any reason you're higher than us in the table, I believe is down to the manager. Once he has gone I think you'll not be a play-off chasing team. Our squad is stronger, but we lack width and looking at your wingers i'd take Brady, who seems very inconsistent but can change games.

You have a few decent defenders but the amount of money we've spent on our backline and goalie means that it would be scandalous to bring anymore in.

Our attack is far stronger than yours as well.

I rate Robert Koren, but that twat has turned us down twice previously and therefore in principle he can bollocks.

Don't be offended, there are different forms of ignorance, and if you'd take Brady over Stewart, in fact without even mentioning Stewart, then that simply confirms your ignorance of our squad and that I was correct in my initial post.

In saying that you may have a slightly better chance of getting Brady as he's only a loan player, that is if you really think that he'd want to leave all of his ex Man Utd team mates behind, which is why he came here in the first place and not because of NP or Steve Walsh

I've watched Stewart, he's a decent player but if there's an exclusivity clause in Pearson's contract and we couldn't sign him then i'd not be that bothered anyway, likewise with Brady.

Pearson will have as much money as Sven had here to spend, so he can choose to unearth some other good players like he has done at Leicester previously and at Hull, or he can purchase more established players. Either way we'll be in good stead under Pearson, where as you have the worry of finding a manager to keep you punching above your weight.

I hear Roy Keane is available maybe they can get him with all those ex Man U players being there, oh the Joy lol

The thing is it doesn't make sense for Hull to prolong these compo negotiations - surely they want/need a new manager in asap. If it's true, and we've matched the clause in his contract, then what looks like to spiteful behaviour will negatively impact on them as much as it will on us.

It's in everyones favour to conclude this deal as soon as possible.

Your looking at things too logically. Hull have got the hump. They are pissed off that Nige has even dared to express an interest in coming back to Leicester. Therefore they aren't going to play ball... At least not on our terms. Thus... Long, protracted negotiations, silly squabbles, time wasting, power, control etc etc etc

This was never gonna be a simple split...
