Clive Redman Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Just seen on OS that the City programme has been voted the best in the Championship... http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2513053,00.html
Trav Le Bleu Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 It's a really nice journal in terms of layout and design and the content is usually interesting too.
Fox92 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 A good award, which says good things about the editor. I have to say that I do think the layout and design is excellent, but they always get better every season. Don't we always get programme awards though? I'm pretty sure the club have had programme awards before.

Fox92 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Its a rip Why? Because it is £3.00? Yep, we have a history of winning these awards since I can remember (which is back to the early 80s) Thought so.
Fox92 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Yeh But £3.00 is the price nowadays. Ok, if you go lower league they will probably be cheaper (I think when we played Rotherham in the cup it was £2.50) but £3.00 is what most clubs in the Championship charge (actually I think West Ham's price was £3.50 though). I can't really complain. It's not like it is priced higher than other clubs.
leicesterseddon Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Its a rip £3...no more than other clubs, whose programmes are often considerably worse. In all seriousness though, when you bear in mind editorial/design costs, printing, distribution, etc....it would be very difficult to price a matchday programme these days at less than that, without a substantial decrease in quality, increase in advertising, or both. I mean lots of magazines sold nationally are more than £3...so it's not that bad when you consider the circulation of matchday programmes is limited to 20,000 people every fortnight.
RyanB89 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 i still think its to much doubt it costs them more than 50p to make
Bert Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 i still think its to much doubt it costs them more than 50p to make I can bet all the clothes you wear don't cost as much to make as you buy them for. Are they a "rip" too?
leicesterseddon Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 i still think its to much doubt it costs them more than 50p to make I do. Seriously, that would be taken up on printing alone...and the club are hardly going to run the thing at a loss. Get real
Corky Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 £3 is pretty standard for a match programme nowadays across the divisions.
RyanB89 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Im happy that you are all happy about the price!!! But im not, its a rip, just like everything else you buy at football stadiums!
absolutelegend Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 I'd prob buy it if it was about £1.50 but its not so I don't. No biggy, that's just my choice. I'm sure it is a good product though from what people say.
ealingfox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 i still think its to much doubt it costs them more than 50p to make My link
Christoph Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 £3 isn't that expensive unless your a 14 year old who gets £10 a week pocket money. Oh wait...
Head Honcho Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Im happy that you are all happy about the price!!! But im not, its a rip, just like everything else you buy at football stadiums! Probably best stick to watching footy on the TV then...........or is that a rip too???
goose2010 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 being a printer these things cost more that you think to print espcially with the short notice that there printed at £3 is well worth it, congrats to everyone involed!
frozenoak Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 £3 is pretty standard for a match programme nowadays across the divisions. its £3-4 and even £5 nowadays just for a childs comic,so £3 doesnt seem too bad to me.
RyanB89 Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Probably best stick to watching footy on the TV then...........or is that a rip too??? if you mean sky sports then yes
