bald reynard Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Could those that went, post some player ratings please ?
Yojoe36 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Kasper - 10 HOW DID HE KEEP THAT OUT!! Pelt - 8 Mills - 8 SSL - 6 Konch - 8 Gallagher- :scarf: :scarf: Wellens - 7.5 Dyer - 8 King - He played? Beckford 8 - Played with his chin up today Nugent - 8 These are very generous, by the way
Guest ttfn Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Schmeichel 7.5 - a couple of great kicks and a fantastic save from Martin. Peltier 7.5 - solid. Mills 7.5 - a couple of hairy moments but also some good blocks. One terrible pass on the first half. St. Ledger 7.5 - As above, minus the terrible passing Konchesky 8 - dealt well with the tricky Zaha despite being much slower, and his willingness to run at their defence led to 2 goals. Gallagher 9 - Two great goals, the second of which was unbelievable. Also put in three tackles in a minute at one point! King 8 - one decent header, a couple of good through balls and some fantastic defensive work including a great early defensive header and a last ditch block. Wellens 7.5 - moved the ball far quicker today. A couple of sublime passes in the first half. Dyer 6 - ineffective. Nugent 6.5 - huffed and puffed. Beckford 6 - good finish, otherwise poor first touch, missed an excellent chance and questionable movement. Lack of effort remains a concern but it's clear that "ball to feet" does not play to his strengths.
kingfox Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Whoever don't give Konchesky and Gallagher 10's are shocking fans Schmeichel 8 - Nothing much to do apart from one world class save Peltier 8 - Growing game after game, solid performance Mills 7 - Hoofed it to many times, but better second half performance St Ledger 8 - Was dominate in the air today, Murray is physical but St Ledge did well Konchesky 10 - Got forward incredible well, was brave in the air, won so many headers, and kept Zaha at bay Gallagher 10 - Was like a Beckham performance in his prime, absolute quality strikes King 6 - Quiet again, but was impressed with his defensive skills today Wellens 7 - Better, frustrated me first half, but second half played passes to perfection and looked forward Dyer 6 - Bit of a let down and I agree with ttfn, ineffective Nugent 7 - Love how he tries and tries, a great hard working striker Beckford 6 - Good finish, some few good touches but still kept losing the ball too many times
Night Air Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Schmeichel 10 Peltier 8 Mills 7 St Ledger 8 Konchesky 10 Gallagher 10 King 8 Wellens 8 Dyer 6 Nugent 7 Beckford 7 Just a few players performances to comment on: St Ledger had the best game in a Leicester shirt, King had a really good game box to box putting in many important defensive tackles, Beckford looked much better after his goal and hopefully he'll carry this motivation into the next game. Dyer although rated the least still combined well with Konchesky. COME ON YOU BLUES!
ScouseFox Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Kasper 8.5 - 7 for generally doing everything well, and one sensational stop bumps up his rating. Konchesky 8 - solid at the back and going forward. Mills 8 - body on the line. just needs to stop thinking he's Beckham. SSL 8 - great. Pelts 7.5 Gally 8.5 - strikes aside, general improvement. include the strikes and **** me he was good. Wellens 8 King 8 Dyer 7 Nuge 7 Beckford 7 - looked sharper, more hungry and a nice finish
Fox92 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Kasper 9 - Fantastic save to keep it at 1-0. Peltier 8 Mills 8 St. Ledger 8 - Solid. That is the defender we all knew at Preston. Konchesky 8 Gallagher 7.5 - Started well, faded. But two good strikes. Wellens 8 - Man of the match for me. Great ball for Beckford. Moved the ball quick as well. King 7 Dyer 7 - Faded away. Comes inside too much as well. Beckford 7.5 - Looked sharper. First touch could be worked on still, but, a good finish. Nugent 7.5 - Same old Nugent. Works hard and makes great runs.

You REALLY hate Gallagher don't you.
absolutelegend Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Beckford was atrocious apart from the goal. 7.5? Were you watching a dif game? Nuge also had one of his quieter games.
Sampson Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 I must say, I'm surprised by some of the average ratings for King and people claiming he did little (the "quiet again" and "he played?" quotes) . I think he was absolutely fantastic today. Defended expertly, maybe even our best player, he made 4 or 5 great tackles/blocks which stopped goalscoring opportunities. I've always thought his defensive ability was better than his attacking ability myself, under Pearson the first time round he was always played as a defensive midfielder and looked much more effective in that role than his ever did playing as an attacking midfielder. I thought he showed that again today.
psychonaut Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Schmeichel 8 - Looked confident and pulled off an ultimate save Peltier 7.5 - Great game defensively, confidence building going fwd Mills 7- Not a stand out performance but good enough always committed to everything St Ledger 8 - Best game for Leicester thus far... nice distribution Konchesky 8.5 - Our most consistent player, end product a lot better and showed some great attacking intent in creating the first goal (5 seconds after pearson said something to him, come in field I think..) Gallagher 9 - Purely for his 2 goals the 2nd the best goal ive seen at the KPS (40 yard screamer) he wasnt the best player on the pitch and thought he had quite an average game King 8 - Never stopped running, pressed really well and made many box to box runs Wellens 6.5 - Some nice long hollywood balls, looked slightly lost through parts of the game Dyer 5 - UNFIT! He was clearly done after 60 mins, lost all pace which is pretty much all he has to offer and it showed today. Completely ineffective. Nugent 7 - Worked hard but not his best game today Beckford 7 - Absolutely garbage first half. The touch of a leper. Made up for it with a nice finsh and seemed to grow in confidence after his goal finding a lot more space. Hugged by pearson when subbed too.
Paulmot Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Schmichael 8 good save and solid one dodgy kick in 1st half Pelts 7.5 looks a good buy worked hard and got forward and crossed the ball in Sledger 7.5 looked more confident Mills 7.5 starting to show some form 1 bad pass but some good blocks Konchesky 8 much better had a hand in a couple of the goals King 7.5 worked a lot harder today at both ends Wellens 7.5 better pass selection good lay off for Beckfords Goal Dyer 7 not to bad first half looked tired in the second Gallager 10 2 goals like that, if it had been matta or saurez everyone would be running out of superlatives must think Christmas came early Beckford 7 took first goal well shame about the clean through chance, first touch ropey Nugent 7.5 held the ball up well tried hard, should have made a connection with Pelts first half cross Pearson 10 he might be monotone but it obviously gets through Crowd 8 but only for the last half hour could feel the tension building as the game progressed
acooling08 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Kasper - 8 - Not much to do really except for one fantastic save. Peltier - 9 MOTM - He was brilliant tonight. Defensive rock and combined well early on with Gallagher down the wing. SSL - 8 - Watch out Bamba. He won virtually everything. Mills - 7 - An OK game, poor distribution though. Konch - 8 - Seemed to get better as the game went on. Virtually made the first goal. Dyer - 5 - A few decent runs but not in the game and too lightweight. We need a winger but Dyer is not the answer. Wellens - 7 - Same old Richie. King - 7 - Better defensively today than offensively. Put a shift in. Gallagher - 8.5 - Faded in and out of the game. Good corners and some decent balls into the box. 2 wonder goals. Nugent - 6 - Marked out of the game. Beckford - 6.5 - He tried today and actaully looked like he cares. Decent finish but also a terrible miss straight after.
dan77 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Kasper - 10 HOW DID HE KEEP THAT OUT!! Pelt - 8 Mills - 8 SSL - 6 Konch - 8 Gallagher- :scarf: :scarf: Wellens - 7.5 Dyer - 8 King - He played? Beckford 8 - Played with his chin up today Nugent - 8 These are very generous, by the way Did you go to the game because your the only one who has slagged King off? Oh I forgot he is sh*t because he didn't smash 3 goals......
Father Ted Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 As I've said for ageeeeeeeeeeeeess.... we don't need dodgy Bamba and today proved that. Get rid Pearson!
acooling08 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 As I've said for ageeeeeeeeeeeeess.... we don't need dodgy Bamba and today proved that. Get rid Pearson! So you're judging that on one win without him? What about his countless brilliant performances for us this season and last?
Cropwellfox Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Schmeichel 8 - the save at 1-0(?) was extraordinary, never stopped talking to / shouting at the defence, and apart from 1 dodgy kick from a back-pass, distribution was very good. Peltier 8 - great performance, showed his intent from the first minute bombing on past gally and fantastic interception leading to the 3rd goal Mills 8 - did the simple things well, +1 for the heroic block at 3-0 along with St Ledger St Ledger 8 - see above, looked accomplished today Konchesky 9 - MOTM for me given he was against Zaha - played to his strengths, and outthought the youngster a number of times - couple of brilliant headers won and looked to get forward when he could Gallagher 8 - two strikes were right at home in the premiership, but also flashes of the frustrating Gallagher which demonstrates why he isn't playing in the prem every week Wellens 7 - good vision for the first goal, a couple of fantastic passes in the first half but same as with Gally some very frustrating moments as well. King 7 - decent box to box performance, getting back to get in a great block at 3-0 showed his energy, and should have scored with a header in the first half after taking up a great position from a cross Dyer 5 - was great to see us employ some width, but Dyer didn't look at the races all game, apart from 1 run towards the end of the first half. Seemed to completely run out of steam with 20 mins left, and needs to pick it up to be a regular choice in the wing Nugent 7 - plenty of energy and linked play up reasonably well Beckford 7 - looked up for it at least today, took goal well, and made a few really sharp runs which didn't quite work out, but at the same time body language suggests confidence a real issue still. Good to see Nige put his arm around him, think he could still be lethal for us if he gets some confidence into his game Howard 5 - lumbered about. New target man in Jan please Nige Schlupp 6 - didn't really get into the game despite taking up some good positions Abe -6 did what he had to do as a RB
Guest ttfn Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 As I've said for ageeeeeeeeeeeeess.... we don't need dodgy Bamba and today proved that. Get rid Pearson! Bamba's the best centre back I've seen this season. He's also (in my opinion) been our player of the year so far.
Fox92 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 You REALLY hate Gallagher don't you. , yes!! Fine, he scored two good goals today, but scoring isn't everything, and I definetly think we need two better quality wingers. As I've said for ageeeeeeeeeeeeess.... we don't need dodgy Bamba and today proved that. Get rid Pearson! Although many people won't agree with you because Bamba seems to be a fans favourite, I really agree with you! I like centre backs to just thump it clear, like they should, not bringing the ball out of defence. What do top defenders like Jamie Carragher do? Clear their lines. I prefer todays partneship of St. Ledger and Mills, and I am sure as a former defender, Pearson will as well.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Schmeichel 9 Peltier 8 Mills 7 St Ledger 8 Konchesky 8 Gallagher 9 King 8 Wellens 8 Dyer 7 Nugent 7 Beckford 7
Captain... Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Kasper - 7 a couple of dodgy kicks and didn't come for a cross early in the first half that would have been a goal but for King's superb header, great stop in the second half. Peltier - 7.5 Solid reliable Peltier didn't do much wrong all game, hope he is not injured. Mills - 7 Solid defensively but too many long passes, not always his fault and the midfield need to come in closer and help him out. SSL - 7.5 Solid defensively, comfortable on the ball, looked to pass out of defence rather than aimless hoof, could be a the biggest beneficiary in Pearson's appointment. Konchesy - 8.5 Good defensively, very good coming forward, was part of a lot of our best attacks, at times brilliant bubt needs to cut out silly mistakes and giving the ball away. Gallagher - 9 Two great finishes, some good crosses, and had another shot in the first half well saved, he even got some tackles in too MOTM King - 7 Good defensive work, should have scored with an early header, faded in the second half Wellens - 6.5 At times great at times awful, too many hollywood balls and loose passes and poor decision making, was also lucky not to get booked for a shocking tackle in the first half. Dyer - 6 Under used, did well when he had the ball, but didn't get it enough, still the only winger at the club. Nugent - 6.5 Lots of energy and the usual work rate but nothing really fell for him tonight, Beckford - 7 Better attitude and effort was involved in a lot of the attacks but was responsible for a lot of attacks breaking down. Tried to win the ball back when he lost it, could have had a hat-trick, but he got the important opening goal and deserved the applause when he went off. Subs - Ineffective NP - 8 Probably the right starting line-up playing in the right formation for this game they came out fired up at the start and after half time, subs were pointless really and a missed opportunity to learn more about the players at his disposal.
wakeyfox01 Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 Kasper - 7.5 Peltier - 7.5 Did what he had to do well and offered a good outlet Mills - 7 One great block and won most things in the air St Ledger - 7 Was dominated in the air for most of the match but he worked well with Konchesky Konchesky - 9 Brilliant in both defence and attack, had Zaha in his pocket Gally - 8.5 Extra point for the goals, 2nd possibly best i've ever seen live Welens - 8 Some brilliant balls and put himself about well King - 8 One great header first half to stop a certain goal and never gave the ball away Dyer - 6.5 Couldn't get himself in the game Nugent - 7 Not involved too much but held the ball up well when he had it Beckford - 7 Took his goal well, seemed caught in 2 minds when clean through
