Leicester_Loyal Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 This should definitely make it to general sale right? If I go on the general sale release morning, should be fine. I hope!! Gonna be a all day binge in Notts for me.
Father Ted Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Does anybody know when the TV games are announced?
Corky Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Good draw, winnable game and should be able to get to it depending on timing. Would've probably liked a big club with a large following but this will do.
Ambitious Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Is Pearson a forest fan? he was born and bred in Nottingham?
Happy Fox Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Is Pearson a forest fan? he was born and bred in Nottingham? I think his family supports Notts County
iancognito Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Is Pearson a forest fan? he was born and bred in Nottingham? Not sure why that would matter? But for the record I'm pretty sure he still lives in Nottingham, got the train up there one morning last week as he was getting off.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 I'm sure I read in Soar sports magazine that Pearson's uncle played for County and his family still supports them.
Happy Fox Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 I'm sure I read in Soar sports magazine that Pearson's uncle played for County and his family still supports them. Larry_LCFC Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 at the forest forum. Apparently its our cup final, we care about them so much and they couldnt care less Same shit every time. If we can sell out the whole bridgeford stand it will be incredible. Must be 6000-8000 odd?
lcfcliam Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 The forest fans are sometimes worse than leeds fans! Don't care about us yet we have proof that they do? :L I hate nottingham forest even more now coz of their deluded fans. Not really overly happy with the draw but it could of been a hell lot worse! COME ON YOU FOXES
Corky Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 I'd rather have had a different game but I just have to get on with it, like they do.
Matt Posted 4 December 2011 Author Posted 4 December 2011 I smell another who is our main local derby thread/poll coming on.
Fox You Forest Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Could of been better. Could of been worse. Cheers.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Afternoon gents. From a Forest perspective I'd like to say... We don't care about you but will be getting secretly all excited. Meh, it's the cup and we could do without such distractions so it doesn't matter to us. I doubt the Forest end will sell out cos we don't care (just incase you missed it earlier). I think that about covers our usual response. I post it so armies of reds don't have to. From me personally: Oh bugger. Good WUMmery Hux! Just a question though, is Le Juif Rouge on LTLF actually a bellend or does he just do a very good impersonation of one? 'What allocation will we have?' 'Depends on what cap the Tories put on immigration from the Third World.' Does that pass for wit on LTLF? I'm confused. What day is it? Are those my feet? Aaaaaaaghhhhhh!!!
ScouseFox Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 I can get train tickets for 10 quid. If they don't fuck with kick off times, that is. And with a reasonable ticket price as it's a cup game, this has potential.
Craig Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Makes me laugh how we mock Forest for that attitude, but have an almost identical attitude towards Coventry
Matt Posted 4 December 2011 Author Posted 4 December 2011 Makes me laugh how we mock Forest for that attitude, but have an almost identical attitude towards Coventry Exactly, I can guarentee if we were drew against Coventry for the 3rd round it would be considered a 'boring', 'rubbish', 'no rivalry', e.t.c, by the majority of people on here.
ScouseFox Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 But we're massive, how can they not care for us? Coventry aren't cared about by anyone, rightly so.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 I would argue Forest care more about the rivalry with us than we care about the rivalry with Coventry, but that's just me. The M69 Derby seems to concern only the young 'uns and those who live near Warwickshire whereas Forest fans actually get riled up for our visits, see their celebrations when they equalised against us this season, the 'town full of P*kis' chants every time we visit and their desperate attempts to get at our fans when Clive Clarke had a ropey ticker at theirs in 2007 for details.
Kitchandro Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Makes me laugh how we mock Forest for that attitude, but have an almost identical attitude towards Coventry True, on a lesser scale though, I for one admit that I consider them rivals. Also, that's a bit different, as Coventry are a much smaller club than us and you can understand why people are embarrassed to be associated with such a poorly-supported-joke-team.

To be honest with you Matt it wouldn't matter to me if it was Forest, Coventry or Derby. The great thing about the cup is that you could play teams you wouldn't ordinarily play. Man City last year was fantastic. Big crowd, good away following, we were the underdogs and it was a cracking game. I will go, it's pretty simple for me to get there and I want us to win like I do in every match but I can't shake the feeling I'd rather be playing someone from a different division, as I've described above. That's just me though.
Kitchandro Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Exactly, I can guarentee if we were drew against Coventry for the 3rd round it would be considered a 'boring', 'rubbish', 'no rivalry', e.t.c, by the majority of people on here. That's more to do with their pathetic support though. It's hard to get up for a game with so few opposition fans. If Coventry brought 3,000 to us every year and got 26,000+ for their home game against us then I'm sure more people would take it seriously as a derby. They have always been the 3rd most important one to the majority of Leicester fans though, that's just history.
donkoshino Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 Surprised to learn that Leicester have only met Forest once before in the FA Cup. A 5-1 defeat in Nottingham back in 1901. source: twitter @Foxblogger Come on city!! Its about time to rewrite the history book :trumpet:
purpleronnie Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 lets face it leicester fans care about beating forest than they do about beating us, simply for the fact they have a real rival we do not.
Kitchandro Posted 4 December 2011 Posted 4 December 2011 lets face it leicester fans care about beating forest than they do about beating us, simply for the fact they have a real rival we do not. We have a real rival, we're just not their first rival.
