Peterboro' Pre-Match Ventilation 2011.

Funnily enough it was the 4-0 hammering of Peterboro back in league One when I truely appreciated the class of Tunchev. He had Mackail-Smith and McLean in his pocket all day and it seemed like he was playing football on another planet. He had a extra few seconds than everyone else on the ball and it was a masterclass. It would be fitting for him to start against them, however I thought St Ledger was very impressive against Hull given the smack he got off Fryatt that dazed him.

I want Schlupp starting, i'm fed up of this nonsence. Unleash him and watch his balls grow (metaphorically, I don't advocate scenes of a sexual nature at football unless it's women getting their bristols out)

Dyer was fairly useless against Hull and although he was superb against Blackpool i'm keen to see Schlupp given some playing time and a boost in confidence.

Schmeichel

Peltier

St Ledger

Bamba

Konchesky

Danns

King

Wellens

Nugent

Beckford

Schlupp

Subs: Howard, Tunchev, Fernandes, Dyer, Gallagher

With this personnel it will work like a 4-3-3 but also a 4-4-2 with Danns dropping out right and Schlupp moving out left when defending. I think it's got potential.

Drop the whole midfield then!

Tunch and SSL central defenders, Peltier, Konchesky full backs.

Abe, Bamba, Johnson, Fernandez in midfield.

Job done!

Goals conceded, probably zero every game.

Frankly I can't see NFP changing much at all.

I feel that he will try and get through the next 4/5 league games by simply continuing as we are, sure he will continue to work on team spirit and organisation but I doubt he will do much else.

I can see big changes in January, I expect to see Fernandez, Johnson, Tunchev and maybe Ball gone, Schlupp out on loan and even Beckford being let go if we can find someone to take him off our hands,

I am expecting to see NFP bring in a left sided defender, at least one wide player, maybe two and a forward who can lead the line with the strength and ability to hold up play that is now beyond Howard.

No idea of any names, just a view on the kind of player we need.

Depending on how things pan out, I think a creative midfielder too, should one become available.

Why single out particular players? They were all poor, apart from Konchesky.

By the way, who played the ball through for our goal? Wellens.

None of the midfield exactly set the world alight before the sending off & at least he defended as well as anyone in the second half .

What i will say is that only a week ago tonight .....he was as good as any midfielder on the pitch ......played a sublime ball to Beckford in the first half that the goalie saved ....and ran the second half, together with a gorgeous through ball that made the second goal !! Yes......just a week ago !!!

Go and join the other pathetic bloody sheep on here .......baaaa !!

Who gave the ball away more times than anyone? Who was the laziest player on the pitch? Who moaned when other players didn't get on the end of Wellens awful passes?Wellens.

If anyone else had have played as bad as him they'd be dropped.

Did you go?

Yep i went............and for the second time .......

Your letting those 2 balls overshadow the numerous amount of wayward passes he did in that game. More than Mills but he gets slated for it. I also noticed that whenever he was caught in possession he then went and gave a needless foul away. I do like Wellens but he was poor against Blackpool

Now........Simo86......with all due respect....you are talking bullshite of the very first order now ....go and have a lie down !

Well that's your opinion and the before post was mine. As I said I'm a fan of Wellens, but 2 good passes doesn't mean he played well does it

I'm not getting into another debate about Wellens, the facts are....he was shite for 75 mins against Blackpool and utterly garbage against Hull.

He deserves to be dropped, its alright saying 'oh don't drop him, Peterborough are the type of team that will suit him' bollocks! What happens if he has another bad game? Do we say 'oh play him against Donny, their shit so he could do well'.

Fed up of seeing him put shit performances in when the going gets tough. He must have nightmares about Paul Mckenna because thats twice he's dominated his arse this year!

Didn't he play matches for Everton this season? If he has he can't play for another club this season. I can't see him being sold anyway.

Wellens needs to be dropped, I honestly don't think he is good enough likewise with Gallagher and by that I mean when adopting a 4-4-2 formation Gally isn't a winger. Wellens with King as central midfield partnership doesn't work as far as I am concerned. NP will get better replacements for these come the January transfer window to add to competition. Personally we need 2 wingers, a target man striker and a playmaker.

Marvellous, absolutely spot on. I bow to your intellectual magnificence. I was really starting to think everyone on this site was a 'drong'.

I really do not know the rules on this, maybe someone can help?..........:dunno:

I'm not particularly having a go at Beckford, I just don't see how he fits into a NFP team and our current setup in particular.

Playing Beckford virtually locks you into playing a 4-4-2 and even if we get a couple of wide players I feel we are still not strong enough in central midfield to play that way, just a bad 'fit' in my view. In modern football it takes two very strong players to play as a 'two' in central midfield and frankly the King / Wellens pairing is simply not strong enough.

With Beckford out of the picture we actually have more options by being able to switch to an attacking 4-5-1, providing we can find the right player to play the lone striker. Support him with three attacking from midfield. a mix of pace from Dyer, Nugent, Schlupp plus another winger and an attacking midfielder, currently either Danns or Gallagher.

You can only play for 2 clubs in one season basically.

Well ......if it's not one of the sheep !! You and the rest of the flock should stop slagging off the players and start encouraging them ....you're a bloody disgrace !! Wellens ,like all of the outfield players has limitations ,thats a fact ,otherwise they'd be playing week in and week out in the Prem .I'll guarantee you one thing however.....the majority of Managers in this league would take Richie anytime !They know, like Pearson ,over the season ,he'll have far more influential games than not !

Posters like you so piss me off with their constant negativity & pompous preaching. The trouble being, that if people read drivel often enough ,they start to believe it !! I honestly believe you don't go to many games and that not only are you a bloody charlatan ......you're an ignoramus !!

Did Wellens shag your missus ????

Blah blah blah diddy blah blah!! I'd play this, ooooh, I'd play that ooooh I'm gonna slag you off cos you picked a player what I fink is pants and you are not playing another player what I likes the looks of. I imagine if NP was ever forced to read this site he would look at it blankly, offer no reaction and then carry on about his life unaffected. It would be like listening to a dog's barking. You can hear it but you just can't understand it.

Thank Christ none of us are managers eh? Harsh? You feel I'm being harsh? Well I read the pre match sh1t last week and almost every single one of you was slating Gally. And I don't mean just saying "I feel, as a footballer, he is not what we need right now" I mean going "The lazy, pansie git! Get Danns in!" you all shouted. Then Danns didn't have the best game and suddenly he's a fat useless cvnt and you're all screaming for Gally again. Fickle, I believe is the word.

"But we're allowed our opinions Rumble, that's what a forum is for after all you stupid tw@." Yes, yes you are but it's the personal criticisms of players I can't abide and the sudden changes of mind when you are proved wrong.

Ignore me, having a bad day today you dirty cvnts.

Rumble.

Did you go?

Yes, I did go.

Yeah, he didn't have his best game. He didn't seem to think like he usually does, and that affected some of his passing. But I don't think he was the laziest player.

Your opinion and my opinion is nothing compared to Nigel Pearson's. If he thinks Wellens should be dropped, he will be dopped.

Does anyone actually know anything about Peterborough?

What are their strengths weaknesses, players to look out for etc.

I am not in the country very often so I don't know much about this league any more, I normally just watch our games, the FL Show normally gives you no really analysis so I only watch it when we are featured.

If anyone felt qualified to give a bit of an opponent analysis, it would be very useful to people like me.

Fvcking have SSL and Tunchev at the back.

I'd like to see that to be honest.

I think Peterborofox will be the best person to answer that question, but it is very obvious Peterborough are still one of the sides that concede many and score many. No doubt they will attack on Saturday, meaning the game will be open.

I've always liked George Boyd though.

Basically their a bit gung-ho!

Strengths are that they score shitloads of goals (2nd highest in the division I think)

Weaknesses are that they concede loads of goals (2nd worst defence and yet to keep a clean sheet)

George Boyd will be one to watch as will Grant McCann who seems to be playing the best football of his career, he's their top goalscorer with 8 from centre midfield.

Erm..not alot else to say really, they certainly won't sit behind the ball on Saturday and will give it a real go and that after a good start they seem to be slipping away a bit!

Thanks for that, with that in mind would it be worth getting Fernandes in the middle to sit on McCann, we should have the quality up front to score, but we may be overrun in midfield, a big game is needed from the full backs we need to get the pressure on their wide men and push them back. May be worth giving Danns a go at home, hard to judge him against Hull playing with 10 men most of the game, bit of extra pace and bite, but another useless display and he will find it hard to get another chance with January coming.

Kasper

Peltier

SSL (Tunch to come off the bench but I wouldn't risk starting him)

Bamba

Konch

Danns

King

Fernandes

Dyer

Beckford

Nugent

EDIT: You are all a bunch monkey touchers (I realised I had posted without insulting anyone  )
