LTWD Posted 9 December 2011 Posted 9 December 2011 We think Beckford is quality as shown on the pitch, and still the crowd is not getting behind him if we want him to score we need to give the bloke some confidence and he'll score, we sit in L1 frustrated when Howard come's on everyone is cheering super steve and he's done nothing to show any class or quality, ok he is a good target man but can do note when given to him. Lad's let's give a good goal scorer some confidence please !!

I don't see how a less exagerrated version of that is fickle. Fans booed him because he was shit and crucially because he didn't try. When he starts trying (and tbf he has done that in recent games) and starts scoring goals/playing better, people will have a higher opinion of him. Don't see the issue with that, that's just fair analysis surely?

If you seriously think cheering or booing a guy in his mid-20s who is a millionaire for kicking a ball around is going to make the slightest bit of difference to his mentality then you need to get out more. You could cheer, boo, whistle, or not turn up at all. It wouldn't make a difference.
