Corky Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Was on the train with a lot of Peterborough fans this morning on the way to the game. They don't like us very much.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Great, a little smiley face - don't like Sven, don't like Beckford, love Wellens and Nige - time to face it, 2009 is over and this club needs to move on - try watching the games and read the posts properly - I never said Wellens has never cut it, just that he is out of his depth now - snap out of it man and realise that with the old guard of the Gally's and Wellens, Howard, and even King and Dyer, we are just not good enough. Support Hull if you love Fryatt but we have five or six class players and none of that lot fit the bill. This is where you confuse me? Have you been drinking? Let me make it clear on the players you have mentioned. Beckford... You may love him and want his babies but I always thought he would be an average signing at best ( see many of my posts when we signed him) Sven... A mercenary... And amazingly appears to have taken the club backwards. Wellens... Still our best midfielder, but looks past his best. Gally... Frustrating player, but can be excellent Bamba... IMO our best player. Pearson... Will change things around as soon as he can.. Can motivate this club into a play off place Nothing here I've said I've not said before.. You read my posts and stop spouting nonsense all the time. And you did say Wellens has NEVER performed above League 1 level... You are even forgetting what you yourself wrote you twat!
Schlupp Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 It's just not good enough,Kasper was the only one who seem upset about drawing where the rest couldn't give two shits tbh.
Salieri Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Having read the whole thread the only standout point is that ColCity doesn't rate Beckford. Who'd have thought?!
Maybes Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Was on the train with a lot of Peterborough fans this morning on the way to the game. They don't like us very much. They are so smalltime it's unbelievable.
Schlupp Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Im still laughing at the Peterborough fans celebrating as if they won the world cup! wankers What makes it even more funny is didn't even win the game
Master Fox Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 This has all become a complete waste of time. My support boils down to checking the score at 4.45pm on the bbc website on my phone when out and about doing something else with my life. Can't believe some of guys are still going. Fair play. Read a page of this thread and gave up. Same old.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Having read the whole thread the only standout point is that ColCity doesn't rate Beckford. Who'd have thought?! Aye aye! It's the mid table mediocrity man! I bet you're well happy with Beckfords 3 goals in what? 14 starts? Salieri's back...

It's the mid table mediocrity man! I bet you're well happy with Beckfords 3 goals in what? 14 starts? Salieri's back... My only other comment in this thread was that the performance/result wasn't good enough, and it wasn't. You keep banging on about me being happy with mid table, please find me some evidence as to where I have ever said this you utter clown. Beckford was no more or less to blame than anyone else today, including the manager but as usual the gist of your post match diatribe alludes to the ineptitude of the Beckford. Change the record.
pb90 Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Im still laughing at the Peterborough fans celebrating as if they won the world cup! wankers Yeah, how dare they emphatically celebrate an equaliser away at a team that we were widely expected to lose to. Pathetic, all aboard the bitter bus
demon_dog Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 It's looking more and more likely that we may be lucky to even make the play offs. Despite the millions spent by Sven, we seem to be a team that I feel is no better now than it was 3 seasons ago. We have the odd individual class players but the remainder seem like journeymen. Our midfield in particular is without doubt sadly lacking in class. Can Pearson turn this around and bring in players to improve the squad in January, personally I doubt it. This transfer window is usually for clubs to offload their unwanted players, not their better players who can command a large fee come the summer. To be fair, NP has a knack of finding decent young loanees from Premiership clubs, but this is not really the answer. Unfortunately due to the demands of the owners, it seems likely that whomsoever manages the team they would not be allowed to slowly build a team to take us into the Premiership. They want results and want them now. To them this means buying the way to success. We all know that many clubs have tried this approach and failed. The more successful teams have spent several years in the building process, this is something we should try! I just hope that the owners will be patient and not see us once more have a managers revolving door. There is no doubt that we could and should have won todays game, especially against one of the worst defensive teams in the division. Promotion, forget it.

I thought you'd read the entire thread Salieri? If you had you would have also seen that I have praised Lloyd Dyer and Gally for the crosses they made, which no one managed to convert, commented on Nugent being gash today and also, I believe, said that King had a stinker. The reason why I bang on about Beckford is cos people are in denial about him. Oh, and I also stated that Bamba is currently our best player and that wellens, still our best midfielder IMO. Phew..... If you're gonna try to make a point at least read everything I've said and not just bits you want to read. To not do so is just to do a mediocre job...

Spot on hope the owners are patient but doubt they will stick with NP if he fails to get us promoted, Sven really has f**ked us up imo
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Spot on hope the owners are patient but doubt they will stick with NP if he fails to get us promoted, Sven really has f**ked us up imo I don't agree with this... I think the owners will give Pearson more time than Sven because they realise he is a better manager. I reckon Pearson has got until the end of next season and may look elsewhere if we aren't promoted by then.

Guest Col city fan Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Why would Pearson leave if we aren't promoted? Sorry Happy I never made that clear... I reckon the owners would look elsewhere
look_back_in_amber Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 I bet Hull are taking the piss too for Christ sake. Feel like crap. As if we would
PaulMcCartneysLoveChild Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 Plenty of time left. This is a decent squad.
look_back_in_amber Posted 10 December 2011 Posted 10 December 2011 this manager is worse than the last one and the Club has wasted a lot of money getting him Reality dawns
Schlupp Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Pearson wasn't the right choice IMO considering after we've spent a year destorying his sqaud.
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Who cares if Pearson is the right choice or not, personally I feel so dejected where we are at the moment despite our riches, and this sacking mentality we have is never going to get us anywhere. We must give NP time!!, who cares if we don't get into the prem this season I don't. We will eventually but only if we stick with the manager and allow him to build this team (mainly midfield) because clearly he knows it isn't up to scratch with the demands of promotion campaign in this division

Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 The man who gave Sven 15 mill to spend in the summer. Well Top needs to realize that sacking the manager doesn't get his fairy tale wish of promotion patience is the key.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Pearson is the right man, a good young manager, exactly what every team wants. Once again the only problem is the midfield. Hopefully NP can sign one or two players and get a loan or two in. Play offs is our only hope, we will not get automatics, no way.
