Stringer to Pearson "Is Yuki Abe still at the club?" :| What a disabled.

Pearsons response

"Is he still at the club? Of course he's still at the club".

lol

Pointless talking about strikers as they had to do everything themselves - no midfield to speak of - King is invisible, Wellens works hard but gives easy balls away and Dyer and Gally are ineffectual (although Gally's goal was well worked, he offers nothing else and his corners are woeful). Need to get our alternative midfield on and Mills back asap and we should improve - Sven would have been slaughtered on here for less though

Truly embarassing stuff once more, and it looks as though we're destined for another massive signing session in January, followed by more dissapointing cra culmination in a an 11th place finish and a new manager in June.

What? Are you saying that Pearson maybe isn't the messiah after all?

pearsons mates, wellens king and Gallagher (regardless of the goal) were horrendous, dyer procrastinates badly and can't really do anything constructive with the ball in the final third. nugent and beckford had literally NO service, unless you class speculative shitty crosses as service. them nige decided to resort to long ball which failed miserably! poor.

On the other hand, 'Barmby's mates' seem to be doing quite nicely thanks

Not being funny, mate, but you are ****ing awful.

First ten minutes it looked like you were going to get thundered five nil. Then I remembered I'm a Leicester fan and we can't get keep momentum up for a half, let alone a full ninety minutes. Game was there for us to take, today, you offered nothing but one or two counter attacks - one of which we cocked up defending.

Pfft that's just how we play. If we're not scoring, we're conceding lol

I'm not claiming us to be among some of the best in the division, would be stupid to say that. But I don't think we'll be near relegation when we score as many as we do, especially if we can cut back on conceding a bit.

Two years ago this would've been LC 4-0 Posh even if you were playing poorly. No denying you're a better team than us though, I just hate to see us patronised. As I said, good luck for the season!

It doesn't matter if its Yuki, King, Wellens, Johnson, Danns, Fernandes, Gallagher or Dyer that plays every game whoever plays is crap and whoever not playing would of been the better choice Im beginning to come to the conclusion are midfield is crap regardless of who plays where or when

You really do not watch the same match as me.

The strikers had to do everything themselves??

How many more chances could our wide men have made for the front two during the first twenty minutes of that match?

With the exception of Beckford hitting the post, I cant recollect Beckford or Nugent getting anywhere near the balls that, mainly Lloyd Dyer, kept whipping in.

Bright, in form strikers will gamble and get anything they can on the final ball.

We drew that game because we couldnt take our chances.

Re Beckford.

He is being slated from most corners quite unfairly. He's almost too good to play for us. I watched him, just him for a few minutes today, "playercam" styley. He's always on the move, always looking to go in behind, pointing where he wants it, losing his man. And we have Richie Wellens on the ball. So we ignore these intelligent, threatening runs and movement, stand still for a bit, slow everything down until Beckford's marked by two men, knock it back to Kasper, he smacks it up to Beckford and we all f and blind at him when he loses a header and looks pissed off.

I'd be fukcing furiously pissed off if I was him and had to play with this uncreative, unintelligent joke of a midfield. Give the lad a break, if he doesn't get the right service what the **** is he meant to do?

Nugent runs around and does.... what exactly

I know, thanks to our largely inept midfield & the fact Beckford looks a million miles away from the player we though we were signing that Nugent will be one of the last people to receive attention negatively, but aside from a couple of good performances I'd struggle to tell him apart from someone like Iain Hume, runs around a lot, scores about 1 in every 4 or 5 games, not good enough, he'll be one of the highest paid players in the division outside of West Ham's relegated Premiership players, he needs to start doing more too

Whilst the midfield will take the brunt of the criticism our forwards had the ball in their area more than they're probably ever going to all season & nothing happened, the keeper was barely challenged

I think you make a good point, I felt Captain Crap was poor again today

This!

All have had a go at one time or another & have proved to be good at times, poor at times but mostly average - hence our mid-table position

In three words- not clinical enough.

A game we should be winning, especially if we want a shot at the performance- and results like this is what separates the top few from the rest. Absolutely dominant in the first 15-20 minutes, and should've found a goal with all our possession and constant battering of them. But as always, we lacked the ability to find a goal, no one in the right position, and we let them get back into it.

Again, the first 15 minutes of the second half we are dominant and do get a goal. After the goal, we are confident and they are shaky. In periods like that we should be killing the game and getting another goal, but we are just not clinical enough unfortunately- and we must improve and quick.

Today, Southampton managed to scrape a point at the end of the game in which they were losing. We couldn't find the crucial goal in a game which we were dominating- that's why they're top of the league.

We must find wingers in January. Lloyd Dyer is absolutely awful, and shown that again today. Looks lost on the pitch, no positional sense at all, and doesn't have a football brain. When he has the ball at his feet, you'd expect him to take the man on with his pace but fails to do this as he is too predictable. And moreover, his final ball is absolutely appalling- cannot cross to save his life! So many times our attacks break down due to this.

Kasper Schmeichel- definitely one of the buys of the summer. Made a few good stops- no fault of his the goal- although I thought he would save it as he's made a couple of blinders in the past few games! I am seriously worried that if we don't go up this season, he will go to a Premiership club.

(No, not really.)

I love Abe to bits but I'm baffled by why you think he's the answer. Abe's never been that sort of player, he's always been the cover for players like Nakata, Endo and Honda to push on.

He balances the team and plays for the team. Which is why he's under-rated by so many. You play him and the likes of King and Wellens play better because he covers, he links and he does the extra work that "lazy" players don't. Maybe he's not the answer long term, but for now, I don't see there's any other option.

I am sure we were saying that Wellens and King couldn't play together when Pearson was here last time, not a coincidence is it. We need Fernandes' energy and power in the middle, but most importantly we need someone capable of keeping the ball and doing the simple things because I am sick of watching Wellens fire Hollywood 40 yard passes out of play or easily intercepted. Gally is the only one capable of delivering a decent ball in but is never going to be consistent enough while Dyer is just not good enough.

Maybe we could create a new midfield from existing non midfield players in our squad? what about Schlupp left wing, Bamba defensive midfield, Howard attacking and Weale right wing?

Couldn't agree more. Top strikers instinctively know where the cross is gonna end up....where the through ball is gonna finish.

The number of times we had the ball in their box with neither striker anywhere near it was crazy

I heard someone on the radio on the way home saying - 'People are moaning about Beckford and Yakubu last season, but they should go back a few years and look at what we had in Mark De Vries and Barry Hayles.'

Yes I agree, however (Well I suppose you can cut his arguement down by 50% because Yakubu for all the times people slagged him off had a goal every other game record which is pretty good) Beckford just seems to be the same as Mark De Vries and Barry Hayles expect we paid and are paying him alot more money.
