Peterborough Post Match Thread

Started off OK but in all absolute crap, possibly are easiest league game this season. Who will we blame this week for this diabolical performance?

Played alright up until 1-0. Then we inexplicably took our foot off the gas, conceded space, and couldn't regain any momentum at all after Peterborough scored with their first chance of the game.

I hate being pessimistic but I really dont see us making play offs anymore. I understand a good run can see our fortunes change but I'm just so used to being let down every other weekend that if i put my hopes down enough, anything else will be much better.

We need a creative midfielder and a decent winger, seem to rely on overlapping fullbacks too much. Cant remember one decent through ball all day to Beckford or Nugent, (other than Beckford hitting the post) either they are shit, the midfielders are shit, or Peterborough have a great defensive unit-which they dont. One moment of magic from Gallagher and we scored

This.

To many times we score and let other teams get back into it. we was all over them up until that.

Watched it on a stream. Absolutely dreadful. Simple mistakes all across the park. Peterborough are a crap, crap team who would have been beaten by an on-form Hinckley Utd. Leicester, meanwhile, were worse, and only scraped a point virtue of a massive amount of luck during a comical scramble the likes of which you only usually see at an under-9s game. We couldn't make ten-yard passes, never mind actually create something. Why any of the midfielders are still in the team i don't know. They are all crap, especially Andy King who is so far beyond useless at performing his duties as a midfielder it is almost funny.

Truly embarassing stuff once more, and it looks as though we're destined for another massive signing session in January, followed by more dissapointing cra culmination in a an 11th place finish and a new manager in June.

Honestly think today was shit, but a couple additions in January and we should be good!

SHIT

And who's that twat on the radio? Some right mouthbreathers on there. ****in hell. That first caller saying that it was Mills' fault? Jesus. Sort yourself out, lad. It makes me angry that people like that get on air.

Watched on the stream.

We should be smashing sides like that.

Only ourselves to blame.

These results are not any better than the previous managers, I know Pearson has not had time yet or his own signings, I still question the change tbh.

Really poor finishing today and sloppy all over the field.

One might argue we were great - I'd argue they were poor and we gave up once we scored, also didn't look fit enough.

Glad I didn't freeze my bits of to see that, these games mean the world to fans - I'm not convinced what it meant to those on the pitch today.

Concentrate City, end of rant.... nearly

PS Current callers on Radio Leicester need to be taken to the vets and destroyed.

Even if we did fluke are way into the playoffs this year we would still not be good enough to go up or stay up. Just got to hope Pearson can hold onto players like Schmeichel and bring in the players we need to step up a level next season

pearsons mates, wellens king and Gallagher (regardless of the goal) were horrendous, dyer procrastinates badly and can't really do anything constructive with the ball in the final third. nugent and beckford had literally NO service, unless you class speculative shitty crosses as service. them nige decided to resort to long ball which failed miserably! poor.

On football manager I bought pretty much a whole new midfield and strike force.

-----------------Ricardo Oliveira---------------Mota

------Aboutrika------------------Modise-----------------Wilhelmson

----------------------------------Fernandes

This, with our current defence plus Leandro Gioda got us 116 points and promotion with 7 games to play. Ricardo Oliveira scored 47 goals in 44 games.

Pearson out, me in.

In all seriousness, though. I did buy a new midfield for a reason. We do struggle to create, especially from wide positions. It'll be interesting in January.

I know a point is a point is a point at the end of the day.

Yet... Piss-poor performance in the second half, seemed like they were completely out of shape and lacking that cutting edge.

Almost half a dozen great chances at the beginning of the game... All wasted. This is what you get for being so complacent.

Where's Beckford's confidence gone, Bamba was a ticking time bomb, waiting to explode the wrong way and who made Wellens captain?

A lot of rubbish being written by some, it wasn't dire or the worst performance ever or long ball, it was however nowhere near good enough & bloody disappointing

For a start that was the easiest games we'll have all season so anything other than a win is poor

We had them, they hardly got out their 18 yard box the 1st half and we had chance after chance missing the target, that was shocking stuff & as they got into the game slightly more in the 2nd half and made rare attacks on us, we looked a nightmare SSL was a carthorse & Bamba was a freakin nightmare, to cap it all off Kasper though he'd join him... shocking

I've stuck up for the midfield for a long time, but they offered nothing & it's not like we have anything better available as Abe does very little other than harrass the opposition but offers no attacking creativity, Fernandes blows hot & cold, johnson is taking the piss out of anyone who pays him a wage

Nugent, again did lots of running but created nothing & I really can't see the point in Beckford, seriously WTF is he all about? they both need replacing if we're to move out of mid-table, although perhaps they'd have more joy if the midfield actually turned up and maybe created something.

It was thoroughly, thoroughly average & exactly why we're in mid-table... although we've played thoroughly average against teams like Brizzle, Reading & others at home and lost.

We're exactly where we deserve to be & unless Nige can make a team out this squad & a few signings in Jan, people better start getting used to it.
