Guest Col city fan Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 stop being such tosser then and i'll leave you alone - Nope, it don't work like that seenfookall. Stop being strange
Filbert The Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Can't understand all this get rid of Beckford. If he got the right service i think he'll be the player we want him to be. He makes some great runs as he did during the P'boro' game but none of our midfield pick his runs out. Players to go for me would be. Ball Pantsil Moussa Howard (legend but time to move on) Oakley Fernandes & Johnson (back to their clubs)
davieG Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I don't think 'everybody' does? I don't 'hate him'.. I simply think he's a bag of shite... Whatever the level of vitriol aimed at Richie Wellens, Pearson has made him the captain in the absence of 'red card' Millsy. It would appear that Pearson places his trust in Wellens both on the pitch and in the dressing room. I would be very surprised if he drops him. So... All the Welllens haters on here, you're gonna have to suffer, for longer IMO.. Grin and bare it, stop sharpening your knives and live with it.... Shame he don't drop fookin Beckford, but I don't think he will.. So I'm gonna have to suffer that idiot myself.. and yet in the Wellens topic you accuse posters of being haters when they just think he's a bag of shite. somewhat hypocritical don't you think
Guest Col city fan Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 and yet in the Wellens topic you accuse posters of being haters when they just think he's a bag of shite. somewhat hypocritical don't you think I don't think so!! Have you not read what some people have written about Richie today and how it's been written? Sounds like hate to me Davie G...
Corky Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Swap our squad with Southampton's. Apart from their reserve keeper, he can stay there and be back up to Weale.
Hack Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 You guys are playing way to much Football Manager. To suggest players going out including Gally, Wellens and Beckford who have been ever presents for Pearson since return is just stupid. even Howard has been used often from the bench. Ball who has not seen game time is likely to be moved if someone would take him. Pantsil if a good offer comes, but we have no cover at right back without him the 2 players we have on loan could be sent home as they have been used little. Yuki? not sure if he is injured, but his lack of being in the side at all, could indicate that NFP doesn't rate him? Hate to say it, but Tunchev could be moved on as he hasn't featured since being back. Berner to move to coaching or move on.
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I don't think so!! Have you not read what some people have written about Richie today and how it's been written? Sounds like hate to me Davie G... It is not hate it just the fact he is shit really not good enough for a team that wants promotion if you are happy finishing midtable year on year with the likes of Wellens and Gallagher then fine but we have more ambition than that.

Tunchev had a groin strain and Shakley made a big fuss out of him being in contention for Saturday, SSL hardly nailed down the spot I wouldn't be surprised if Tunchev played next weekend at all. Yuki has been involved but there are only 5 subs allowed and someone has to miss out, he also covers the right back and right midfield positions if needed as well
funkyrobot Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 The players that are most likely to leave are those who aren't getting a look in. Johnson, moussa, ball etc. don't see players who are currently in the first team squad - wellens, gally, etc leaving, unless a big club offers a lot of money which, let's be honest, we arent gonna get for any of our players except maybe for schmeichel and I don't see him leaving at least this season.
JmorsonLCFC Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 keep howard no point getting rid of him he does actually impact when he comes on, and we havn't got another striker of his build so he is always useful... fernandes, abe, schlupp, waghorn, johnson, berner, moussa, michael ball, pantsil i think should be on their way either loan or permanently oh and oakley, if he's still here
Jimmy Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 the only impact Howard has is people like SSL start just lumping it forward
Happy Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 We might as well keep Howard for sentimental purposes FFS he is utter shit now don't get me wrong did his job 2 years ago now he is no better than league one.
Oh tommy wright Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Please Howard, just for more of a statement that the club has moved on.
RizLCFC Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 I would definitely get rid of Johnson (back to Man City, was a quality player once still too chubby and slow for my liking slight flash of brilliance here and there nothing special), Fernandes (if he wants to leave), Ball (most useless signing ever), Howard (too old now), Oakley (league one standard). I wouldn't mind if Wellens and Gally left, we can sign much better in my opinion but I'd keep them as back ups if I could. I'd like to see Schlupp and Moussa more in and around the first team, too potentially very good players there!
MPH Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Oakley Wellens Tunchev ( He'll be fully fit and want first team football.... Possible destination forest) Moussa Waghorn Howard
NewburyFox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Seeing as Pantsil will be on at least £20k a week (at a guess) and isn't playing, I'd be happy to let him go. We'd be short on backup but Abe can play there and I'd prefer to save that £20,000 a week and lose the obvious backup. Other than that, Oakley, Berner, MORENO (why oh why is he still here?) Ball, Johnson if he doesn't want to be here or isn't willing to put in the effort to get himself fit, and maybe Moussa if he isn't going to be given a chance. I'd keep Howard until the end of the season.
City Fox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 We need to offload at least one striker possibly two. Way to many of them especially if were looking to bring one in, Beckford and Howard if it was up to me would be on there way Johnson along with Ball and Berner if we can shift them Don't want to see to many going unless there being replaced with the quality needed. Save all that for the summer
reynard Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 I don't think there will be anything like the number of departures some posters seem to think there will be. It isn't as simple as just getting rid of players. Other teams have to be persuaded to take them and the players themselves also don't have to move if under contract. There are a few perhaps obvious candidates but a lot will depend on Nigel bringing in players he wants before allowing players to leave. We have obvious imbalance in the squad with far too many midfielders who both aren't good enough but are also too alike. Johnson. I can't see much point in him being here at the moment either for his good or the clubs and as he is only on loan it should be easy to cancel that contract without financial penalty on either side. Moreno Obvioiusly has no future at the cliub but we've tried to get rid in the past and it hasn't happened so may have to pay off his contract if we really don't want him around. Fernandes I'm really not sure about him. Does he want to be here still? He's near the first team and to me looks a btter player than Dannsbut he may actually want to move on and again this is only a loan agreement at present. Otherwise I can't see any other midfielder leaving the club in January unless a good offer comes in for them and Nigel thinks we can do better. In defence I can't see many if any departures. Pantsil isn't get a game but he is really the only cover at right back. Two candidates to leave might be Ball and Tunchev though we're not really blessed with cover in the defence if they depart. The only other player possibly to cosider wanting out would be Berner.. The most likely deprature I fear is Kasper. Spurs are in the market for a new keeper and I can see a bid of 3-5m coming in for him in January. I know we don't have to accept it but promotion looks far from certain and the chance to play in the top league would be too much for the player to turn down so I fear he will go.
Master Fox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 OUT: Bamba Wellens King Dyer Howard Gallagher Panstil Johnson Moreno Weale Vassell
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Moreno Ball Oakley Bamba (if tunchev is fit and Pearson prefers tunch and mills) Johnson Moussa (loan) Schlupp (loan)
volpeazzurro Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 We need a wholesale clear-out of mainly Sven's signings. It was like giving a pools win to a drunk in an off-licence. With the exception of Caspar, Pelts and Bamba, his legacy of transfers was an unmitigated disaster. I would rid the club of the following, with particular emphasis on the midfield where Sven bought in players who were all much of a muchness in that they were not appreciably better than what we already had or as a whole, they all do a very similar job. I would get rid of the following to either raise money for NP or to enable more loanees: JOHNSON - He was either more badly injured than we thought, in which case someone didn't do their homework, or he's a complete malingerer. Get rid back to City. FERNANDES - I failed to see the talent some people espouse on here, no-one else appears to have wanted him pre-season. Appears to want to go back so let him go. KING - Not been worth the shirt for a long while now. I don't buy in to the KING myth. Yes he does run around a lot but so does my labrador. He's usually running in the wrong place at the wrong time and has little impact on the game at all. DANNS-Albeit he was often played out of position by his purchaser, he nevertheless huffs and puffs, gives the ball away with regulatory and actually achieves very little. Sell if anyone would have him. ST LEDGER - A very mediocre centre half and a mere hoofer. We already have the extremely overpriced hoofer MILLS who is slightly better. If we did happen to go into the Premiership, you can't afford to have two hoofers in the side at once as the ball comes straight back at you with a talented player on the end of it. PANTSIL - Poor defensive qualities from a player who gets a nose bleed if he happens to stray over the halfway line. BALL - We already had Bruno and Kennedy, why did we need the fat one. MOUSSA - Can't really comment on his quality in fairness but neither Sven or NP appear to fancy him so let him get on with his career elsewhere. SCHLUPP - I believe this lads got a very bright future, but if we're not going to give him a chance just yet, consider a loan spell. I'm not sure about BECKFORD yet and can't work him out. He's not a typical big guy i.e. he only won about one good header agaist Peterborough, he's not a fox in the box, his control doesn't seem all that and can he realistically complement NUGENT. Perhaps a better midfield with the ability to slip accurate balls through for him to run onto might be the answer. But worth some perseverance imo as he has a proven history of goal-getting at this level. If all fit, my ideal defence would be Peltier, Bamba, Tunchev and Konchesky with Mills as sub. We need a flair player in midfield and one or perhaps two wingers. For me Wellens or Abe are both capable of that more defensive midfield role. A decent midfield (and I don't think we've had one for a long time) will create chances for what I think is potentially a good strike-force i.e. Nugent, Beckford, Waghorn and Schlupp. Cheers!
bluearmyfox23 Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Volpeuzzero I agree with most of ur post but you have said send schlupp on loan then u want him in ur squad ?
