leicesterisme Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Yeah lets just get rid of most of our squad and bring in 10+ players. That's worked for us before hasn't it. Seriously. A couple may leave maybe more than that but no wholesale changes will happen in January and to be honest they dont need to.
accessory Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 A decent midfield (and I don't think we've had one for a long time) will create chances for what I think is potentially a good strike-force i.e. Nugent, Beckford, Waghorn and Schlupp. There's a reason for that.. It beats me how you can suggest keeping him and dumping King. At least King has the potential to improve.
Finchy Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 There's a reason for that.. It beats me how you can suggest keeping him and dumping King. At least King has the potential to improve. But Savage says he's the best midfielder in the division!
Jimmy Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 But Savage says he's the best midfielder in the division! and we've respected Savage's opinion of anything since when?
BlueBlue Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Would try Johnson & Bamba in midfield. Tunchev & Mills in defence, when both available. Danns is trying too hard after being played consistently out of position. Beckford is improving all the time, just needs the ball where he is pointing & not with his back to goal.
hackneyfox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Play Danns through the middle and we may get the player we signed.
Callabinho Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Taking into consideration all of the names on here it seems every one has managed to get rid of an entire team excluding, Schmeichel, Pelts, Konch, Nugent, Tunch and Dyer.....
davieG Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Sell Schmeichel, Pelts, Konch, Nugent, Tunch and Dyer and buy some cheap replacements and settle for mid table obscurity.
Callabinho Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Sell Schmeichel, Pelts, Konch, Nugent, Tunch and Dyer and buy some cheap replacements and settle for mid table obscurity. Haha!
MrFox781 Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Howard Oakley Pantsil Bruno (Wherever he is) Fernandes Johnson Weale Moussa Moreno
wellyfox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Howard Oakley Pantsil Bruno (Wherever he is) Fernandes Johnson Weale Moussa Moreno Are we paying for all these to leave or hoping they go. None are good enough for the prem and we are hoping for clubs below the prem to able to pay the wages. Other than loan players returning I don't see any leaving in jan. In fact I don't see any leaving till there contracts are up. None on the list are playing regular if at all and Happy to pick up our big pay packets. Paying shite big money is a BIG mistake that we are stuck with till the contracts up. As the above list has the most common mentioned players on it. I would say other than the two loaness none of them will go in Jan or nxt summer. Unless there contracts run out. Also I dont worry how much we spend. But I do worry how badly we are spending it.
jimmer Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Howard Oakley Pantsil Bruno (Wherever he is) Fernandes Johnson Weale Moussa Moreno Bruno is hopefully staying on in a coaching role. Players to leave permanently Ball why on earth we signed him i'll never know! Moreno grrr! Johnson just dont think it'll work for him here Out on loan for experience Schlupp Moussa
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Sell Schmeichel, Pelts, Konch, Nugent, Tunch and Dyer and buy some cheap replacements and settle for mid table obscurity. Somebody with a bit of sense at last
volpeazzurro Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Volpeuzzero I agree with most of ur post but you have said send schlupp on loan then u want him in ur squad ? In fairness and to clarify, what I mean is, I'd like Schlupp to stay and get a lot more experience e.g. a couple of more poor performances by Beckford and I'd like Schlupp to be given the opportunity alongside Nugent for a couple of games or a regular second half appearance. But, if he's not going to get a look in then best he goes out on loan to gain experience and forward his career. As one poster quite rightly pointed out, with the exception of the loans we've got, who in their right mind would want to buy some of Svens signings and have to pay them the undoubtedly good wages/contracts he gave them, there's a ring of Peter Taylor about some of this. Some aren't that bad in fairness, just not an improvement on what we had. We needed a different type of midfielder. Cheers.
Salieri Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Oakley, Howard, Moussa, Ball, Moreno, Johnson, Fernandes and Schlupp (loan). Sign a striker (or two), two wingers and a creative midfielder. It's a shame about Fernandes and Johnson because i'm sure they're good players but just don't think they can be arsed. Keep Weale, Pantsil and Berner as back up and hopefully Tunch can get a chance. I'd be amazed if we offloaded the likes of Gallagher, Wellens, Beckford etc as some have suggested.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 NP will sort out the KP and get loads of GP to fill the MB of the current side. When he has completed this AT he will eventually get us UP to the PL
Bob Farley Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Yep, replacing our entire squad will solve our consistency issues. amen.
Tielemans63 Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 NP will sort out the KP and get loads of GP to fill the MB of the current side. When he has completed this AT he will eventually get us UP to the PL IYHO BTW.
Swalker Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 SSL (get a better replacement and move tunch to bench defender) Ball Johnson Moussa (loan) Moreno Smith (loan) Burns Crncic If waghorn stays then schlupp may aswell get game time on loan, because he will be moved back another striker place, but hope he stays Oakley (if he's still here) Kermogant

Or did you mean send em back??
MPH Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 totally forgot Moreno was stilll here, poor guy..... Was obviously sold the dream and i seem to remember him actually being .. well... acceptable in his natural DM position... but an awful CB... heaven knows why he was played in defence..... Anyway... doesnt seem to be anywhere NEAR even the back up for the back up to the bench... Sell!
MikeyT Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 Ball, Howard, Crncic, Moreno, Moussa (loan), Berner (like to see him stay in a non playing capacity though) Weale Pantsil
Howard9 Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 we will lose Johnson Fernandes. they will go back, i dont think we will lose any of our forwards maybe howard will go out on loan, i can see us getting in a new centre back and left back cover for konchesky and another winger and possibly a striker
