Lambert09 Posted 22 December 2011 Posted 22 December 2011 I just feel that our fans really don't appreciate some of the players at our club. Although I agree that we have moved on and our better then some of our old guard I for one am fully thankful for the service they have given us. The people I am particularly annoyed about being slated are King, Wellens, Gally and Dyer. I hate the way people are scape goating Wellens, I think he has been a great signing and has had a big influence on many of our victories, he has dipped in form recently and his performance against donny was abysmal but the way people are speaking about him you would think he never did anything and he had a terrible attitude. Nobody is perfect so why do you expect them to put in match winning displays every week? All we can ask is try your best. I think there is no reason to sell any of the above but if I was a player and I read half the comments on this forum I would not want to be part of this club. Its not the noise level at the stadium that makes it a bad atmosphere for the team its the negative numpties groaning at every miss placed pass and shouting abuse at players that the week before you were hailing as a God. If we want promotion we need to get behind the shirts....who is in them doesn't matter.

So many people on here forget what someone has done in the long run and just thinks about what they did in the last few games... his season hasn't been great but he clearly tries, I just feel he has got to old.

Well that's what I said. It isn't disrespectful to question a player's role in the team when they have been so poor of late, just because they were excellent last season does not mean we should continue to praise the player on past glories when they are playing poorly and doing nothing for the team.

King has been fine for the past three seasons but hasn't showed anything like that form on a regular basis. Wellens did well but has gone rapidly downhill. I do appreciate what they did before but it's not helping us now is it?

I'm not on about questioning the players place in the team at the moment as Wellens deffo deserves to be dropped but some of the comments in the `sell Wellens' thread are a joke. I dread to think what people would have said if Izzet had stayed with us and retired.... There would have been pages of trosh about how he's ****ing useless and always had been..........People peek, appreciate what they once could do and move on....no need to constantly let people know how crap you always said they were. Just because there bad now doesnt mean they always were, you are just likely to have more people agree with you now

cc_star Posted 22 December 2011 Posted 22 December 2011 I agree, some of the comments are disgusting But then again I disrespected Sousa which in some (weird) people's eyes was bad I feel differently about players though, I think the atmosphere around this place & the ground if we're not 3-0 up & playing like Brazil after 15mins is counter-productive A reality check is needed, we're a mid-table side unless we can prove otherwise & since the Cardiff away play-off semi over 18m ago we've rarely looked better than that, although to listen to most people you'd think we were Barca suddenly playing in the 5th tier.

That the reason he can't train everyday! Throw bamba in midfield, bring tunch back in with mills and sell king while prem clubs still think he's good.

He admits he can't do it now training is to much for him. So get rid we want a strong fighting fit squad of players that can do it. If you want to be sentimental about him buy a dvd.

We pay the money, and when the players don't perform, why can't we slate them? I've booed before, I slate the players. It will not stop. I agree, all we can ask for is for them to "try their best". But when they don't even try, that is what annoys me the most.
