atmosphere at the kp

this season espcially i've heard aon a number of occasions that the atmosphere is lacking at the king power,

i totally agree , and i wondered what you guys thought about my idea.

the way i see it ,the only way to get a good atmosphere at the king power other than rebuilding filbert st is , to swap the kop with the family stand,i stand in L block and along with parts of k block i reckonthere maybe 1500 singing on a good day , you cant here the kop so the away fans definatly cant and we get out sung by all the big visiting clubs which really p#sses me off and i think it costs us points over a season .richie wellens recntly commented that its the fans that need to get behind the team to spur them on and i agree with him but how it is at the moment we only seem to get going when we are winning and we get taunted by away fans for this its our club and we all have our part to play.

being out sung by fans in the championship is bad enough can you imagine what it will be like if we do go up.

i am thinking of getting a pettition up and get as many signatures as possible b4 and after games to try and get the stands swapped over if the kop is next to the away fans along with L&K blocks the other side we will work with each other to create a great atmosphere and will spur the team on and we wont be out sung by man utd , man city , newcastle, spurs or peterborogh!!! so please give me your feedback to see if you agree and if the comments are possitive i will aet the pettition underway,

many thanks Mark.

I don't fault you for what your trying to do however be prepared to be shot down from certain members of this forum because this topic has been dicussed numerous times.

I agree with you on this matter however. In PRE SEASON I posted a topic that basically said Leicester City officials have looked at the possibilty of changing the family stand to the 'KOP' however should the Family Stand become the new kop there will be around 600(I think) less seats in the kop(currently) the family stand.

i know what your saying ash but i have sat in the kop and no disrespect but there are a lot of fans in there just cuz of the price and are not singers for the sake of 600 seats less i still think its the only way forward ,i am well prepared to be shot down thats why i want the feedback b4 i spend a lot of time and money trying to make the kp more of a fortress , thank you for comments tho

Great I idea and I would sign it.

I don't think it would happen as there is fewer seats in the Family stand than there is in the Kop, so it could cause a load of hassle.

I think the first thing the club need to look at is the ticket prices to come to the stadium, its to high and familys can not afford it.

If they make them a reasonable price it will attract more fans and create more atmosphere in the stadium

This is not just aimed at Leicester, look at stadiums like Middlesborough, Derby, Cardiff. All new grounds no atmosphere

I sit in J3, and I hate how people seem to just assume that there a library compared to L1 and K1? We make noise to you know!

Clearly not noisy enough :xmaslaugh:

The away fans and the kop are situated where they are on police advice. They'll not change thier stance because a few people want to sing.

It's clear something needs to be done, but for anything worthwhile to happen a group of people need to be pro-active about it. Whether it's a petition set up(probably won't work) or a large amount of people email, write or phone the club saying roughly the same thing and maybe eventually the club organisng an evening to discuss the possibilities and concerns of the fans. I've emailed in the past and engaged in some exchanges but it's difficult when few people are actually try to have something done about it.

And ticket prices must be re thought, more people in the ground at a cheaper price is better than fewer at a more expensive price. More people increases the atmosphere, more money spent on merchandise, more money on programmes, more money on refreshments and encourages the next generation of football fans, whereas prices at the moment restrict this and are honestly a joke

I have an idea which some members here will agree on.

How about we invite Coventry fans, Man Utd fans, and whoever wants to watch us.. that'll show the away fans how vocal we are!

 And then you will get people going to try and wind up the away fans.

All home grounds generally lack atmosphere, especially the newer built grounds, it isn't just Leicester.

That's groundbreaking! I can't believe this has never been suggested before! :o

why dont the fans in l1 and k1 just move to g1 and g2, far simpler than trying to get the 6000 in the kop to move

The people who don't experience an atmosphere and want one should move to where there is one. For what reason should those in L and K want to move?

Posted

The idea is to create an atmosphere, not completely destroy it!

But you know as well as i do that they are not going to swap the kop and the family stand round.

Been said a thousand times but have a "singing" section. Those who want to sing can all do so together in their own section. The rest of the ground will be quiet but times change (sadly, in this case).
