Decision needs to be made before Saturday. Really hope he signs, but just got a feeling he is holding out for a Prem Club. :(

I am surprised Leicester have not come out and made some kind of statement one way or the other,Nigel told stringer there would be a signing "very soon " last saturday

What statement to say Billy hurry the f**k up with the decision.

What good will that do?

I'd rather they keep it private. Nigel likes to keep things under wraps and keep his cards close to his chest, so I expect no different with this transfer.

No just to say the f--king discussions are on going, many players would not take a week if they were going to get a rise from £11k to £ if figures are correct, and the windows shuts in 19 days

so it does not leave a lot of time to chase other targets

Oh no I agree with you completely and I don't mean just sign billy as in hes messing us about, just really hope we get him. In all honesty if he signed a new contract at donny I'd have a massive amount of respect for him, but if he went fulham I'd be dissapointed after him saying he doesn't wanna move away from sheffield

Morning chaps, just to let you all know Billy doesn`t live in Sheffield,he lives in Boston spa a small town near wetherby west yorkshire..........ps,hope he doesn`t sign for you or any other club in this window, think if he stays with us we have a fighting of staying up.....goodluck for the rest of the season.

Premier League Fulham could scupper Leicester City's attempt to land Doncaster Rovers striker Billy Sharp.

City have agreed a fee – believed to be £1.85 million – for the 25-year-old hitman, but the Mercury understands that Cottagers boss Martin Jol is now weighing up a bid.

Sharp is also attracting the interest of several Championship clubs, but would love the chance of playing in the top-flight.

Fulham are believed to view Sharp as a possible replacement for Andy Johnson, who is out of contract in the summer and has yet to agree a new deal.

They have already rejected a bid from QPR with Blackburn also monitoring his situation.

If Fulham decide against pursuing their interest, though, City still look to be in the driving seat as it looks increasingly unlikely that Sharp will sign a new deal at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Sharp met with Rovers manager Dean Saunders on Tuesday night and was offered a two-and-a-half year deal which would make him the highest-paid player in the club's history.

He will now think over the move, but Rovers know there is already a bigger offer on the table from City, and the prospect of continuing interest, as the ending of the January transfer window draws nearer.

Despite the mounting speculation about a Sharp exit, Doncaster expect the striker to feature for them in Saturday's Championship clash against Cardiff.

He sprung to prominence at Scunthorpe when he scored 53 goals in just 82 appearances, but was less successful at Sheffield United following a £2m move, scoring just eight times in 51 games before joining Rovers for just over £1m in 2010.

He averages a goal every two games for Rovers.

Sean St Ledger, the City defender transfer-listed by manager Nigel Pearson over the Christmas period, looks closer to becoming an Ipswich Town player, possibly, by the end of the week.

City have agreed a deal with the Tractor Boys for St Ledger to join them on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move.

Ipswich say the talks are ongoing after St Ledger received an assurance from chairman Marcus Evans that manager Paul Jewell's job is safe.

But it appears that Leeds' interest in the Republic of Ireland defender may have cooled even though they have lost former City skipper Patrick Kisnorbo for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Doncaster have received international clearance to complete the signing of Panathinaikos midfielder Damien Plessis on loan until the end of the season.

Rovers agreed terms to bring the former Liverpool player to the Keepmoat Stadium before Christmas but the relevant paperwork has been completed.

Leeds have completed the signing of USA international Robbie Rogers, subject to securing a work permit.

The 24-year-old winger is a free agent after spending the last four years at Major League Soccer side Columbus Crew.

Breaking news on SSN; Blackburn have bid for Andy Johnson.

Hopefully that will be rejected, if not were in trouble.

What has Andy Johnson got to do with us?

Hopefully our pool of strikers isn't just limited to Billy Sharp, Jukebox is on his way to Middlesborough, Chris Wood has signed for Brizzle City on loan, Maynard is looking on his way to Swansea.
