ibbosuk Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Hopefully our pool of strikers isn't just limited to Billy Sharp, Jukebox is on his way to Middlesborough, Chris Wood has signed for Brizzle City on loan, Maynard is looking on his way to Swansea. Fulham say they don't want to sell Andy Johnson to arrival club, so maybe HE could end up at Leicester, proven in the premiership, o.k. he's 30 but would be great for us. But everything is up in the air and we just have to wait for the bigger guns to make there moves.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 If he goes then Fulham will need a striker, Billy Sharp? Not necessarily they still have Orlando Sa, Dempsey can play there up front, Ruiz is class and Frei looks very good. They are all quality who says they need another striker?

If you want players who are desperate for Leicester, you're gonna have to go and search the lower leagues for some dross. Sure they'd jump at the chance.

We don't know what Billy has said to Nigel or what Nigel has said to billy. What I do beleive though is this - If Nigel felt he was being messed around like half of foxestalk seem to be suggesting - Nigel would pull out of the deal and look elsewhere! I didn't feel this so much with Sven but truly beleive Nigel won't put up with being messed around. My point is that i beleive whether we get him or not at the point that we really start getting messed around (behind closed doors) the deal will be off because Nig won't put up with it! For me the fact the deal is still on just shows how much crap is spread through the press and twitter (which we all know anyway) because most people feel he is taking the piss! So i beleive we should all just take a chill pill! We will know when Nig thinks hes being made a mug of and thats the most important thing! Trust Nig!

Extra Time Spike Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Billy Sharp has been training as normal this morning and is expected to be playing for Donny against Cardiff on Saturday. These aren't the usual actions of a player due for a transfer because of risk of injury etc.

The fact that they don't want him to go means the risk of injury is irrelevant. In fact I'm sure they would happily let him sit out a few games through injury if it meant keeping him for the rest of the season cuz we pulled out!

Fulham have not put a bid in and sharp will play for donny this weekend as things stand! If he wants to stay local we have the best chance of getting him!
