Billy Sharp

All we need now if for Bert and Liam to post their version and we're set. lol

Give it time!! give it a couple of days and first4lcfc will post his twisted ITK account of it too!

I'd think it would be. I reckon he'll be announced either Tuesday night after the Forest match or Wednesday - if no other clubs come in for him and he chooses us, of course.

So will Cardiff be a farewell match to the fans?

He's scheduled to collect the thousands raised for his charity by Donny fans, before the game against Cardiff.

Poor form to leave before that?... wants to say thanks?... reading to much in to it?... signing for fulham?... delaying to get more cash?...

Could be 100 reasons.

Looks like he's going fulham apparently.

Jol's came out as saying Johnson and Zamora are going nowhere so signing Sharp would be pointless with the other strikers they have on their books

Well blackburn are making an offer for johnson :( i don't want to believe that Billy would say he doesn't want to move too far away from sheffield then just to hold out for a prem club he's better than that surely

Who knows what Billy wants, I don't want us to be in a situation like last summer and be after a striker that isn't our first choice i.e Beckford.

Just cos Blackburn put in a bid for Johnson dont mean he'll go or that Fulham will accept it. the way Blackburn are going they'll go down .

So what do you suggest then? Sharp is our 1st choice, do we wait for him to give us his answer or move on to our 2nd choice? Tell us your feelings Happy Fox, we're here for you.

My feelings are give Billy an ultimatum either sign on the dotted line tomorrow or move on, it is not hard to bring in a striker someone like Darius Henderson or Ched Evans would do fine.

Henderson or Evans?!

You have got to be joking, we want to progress not regress.

Henderson is a target man and has scored 9 goals in 16 appearances this season not bad.

I am sure he doesn't need an ultimatum or a deadline at the end of the day we apparently have all the money he's trained with them all week and he will play cardiff lets just see what happens then. If by next week however talks are still going on i'd be very weary

What more assurances does the lad want £28,000 a week, a chance to play prem football in the near future playing in front of 25,000+ crowds at home. I would sign that dotted line straight away.

You do know that spending money doesn't guarantee that don't you. I really hate that kind of talk.

Near future meaning within the next two years, I wasn't implying that money guarantees immediate success.

we all know PERSONAL reasons are a big factor in this deal...

feel like a broken record sometimes, people just seem to ignore certain factors..

It's been said over and over again on this thread but i'll say it again "Billy Sharp is an exceptional case, we all know why and we all know this will affect him wanting to move!" Like someone said at the Cardiff game he's to announce the total of how much money the charity he has started raised ffs the club has been there for him during one of the most difficult periods in his life. Do you really think he's sitting up there thinking about money? come onnnnnnnnnnn Give him time he will come when he's ready

You make it sound so rosy and happy. In reality, we all know that just won't happen. There's no guarantee of premier league football; there's no official confirmation that he will be earning 28k a week, and we don't always hit 25k at home. He's loved at Doncaster; there's never any guarantee that when a player moves, he will hit the ground running at the new club.

I do want him to sign, but for the right reasons. It's not an easy decision to make. If he wants to come to us, he will do so when he's ready. Just because he hasn't signed yet doesn't mean he doesn't want to sign at all.

This

It seems a lot of incencitive turds don't even contemplate this.

Wish him all the best making such a tough decision for him and his family, hopefully by Tuesday we know where we stand.
