So to sum things up talks with BS are ongoing, he has not signed a new contract with anyone yet and the fans are singing day dream beliver. Who says that their is no atmosphere on here.

I think the reason NP wants him so badly is because of BS's attitude. He has always talked about the mentality of the current squad and I'm not sure there's any better than Billy in this respect: the game against Mboro being a superb example.

First post on here guys, I live just outside Glasgow hence the username, that said I have still managed to see the foxes play 9 times this season which aint too bad for a 600 mile round trip.....quite sad when i classed middlesborough away as a local fixture (still didnt get home till gone 1 in the morning tho!).

Anyway my point is this....... I think Billy would make a great impact on the team....at least he works hard without the ball unlike someone that I dont need to mention, that said, like most of you willl probably agree, he will not be the answer to our problems......we desperately need, and have done for at least 3 years now, quality and pacey wide men. I may get laughed at but i honestly think that we only need 3 players to make a masssive difference.

With 2 pacey wide men teams will be more reluctant to press us and therefore we will become less overrun in midfield. I believe Abe has the ability to be an effective defensive midfielder and that would leave a choice of one from two of either King or Wellens. Again I will probably get slaughtered for this but I would go for Wellens....I honestly believe that with more of an outlet ie, wide men then Wellens would be a much more effective and dangerous player. These are just my thoughts but I am very open for critiscism/debate....thanks for reading

thanks jon.....just the usual suspects that have mean mentioned. On a different note tho, I really hope we dont buy anymore players from Scotland for a while.....yes you can mention loads that have been great for us in the pastb, but i still have nightmares about the days of that man who came from Hearts and brought all the journeymen with him.....at least he got what he deserved.....MANAGER OF SCOTLAND lol!!!!!! I am from Leicester btw

im not 100% sure but i dont think Sharp would be eligable to play vs trees (you have to be signed prior to original tie), i just want it sorted sooner rather than later as the longer it drags on the more chance of his head being turned in other directions

I used to go to Ayr and Rangers i did enjoy division 1 games but SPL games were pretty basic football. I like Ness from rangers but apart from that theres not many SPL players in our price range

Yeh i agree.....my main point is that we are beginning to miss the point, or i think some of us are........we could have the best centre forward/forward in the country but, without decent service from out wide, our goal tally will not improve greatly....opinion

Too true i'm glad we are looking at players like Sharp it shows we are confident in bringing attacking players to the team not just trying to stay defensive but i'm also happy we are getting rid of some of the dead weight it will free up the money and positions to bring in some really good talent.

Billy Sharp could be a Leicester City player in time for tomorrow's Championship match against Barnsley at the King Power Stadium.

City assistant boss Craig Shakespeare says the club are "in the driving seat" even though Fulham are also believed to be pursuing the Doncaster Rovers striker.

It could be happening

I don't think he'll sign for us, I think he'll stay at Doncaster.

You may be right, but it would be a crazy decision. If he stays with Donny then he will be playing in a team struggling to avoid the drop (or at the least with low prospects), with players of a lesser quality than ours. It would be a totally retrograde step.

If he waits for a Prem team then maybe the only offers he got would be from those at an uncomfortable distance (like Fulham), and he would also have to consider the prospect of not getting much playing time. Fulham have allegedly not even put in a bid for him yet, whereas it's clear that we want him very badly and would almost certainly make him first choice in the team.
