yorkie1999 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Don't understand the big deal about getting a striker in. everyone knows all we need is width and a quality midfielder who can win the ball and put it out wide!
leicesterisme Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Right if Billy Sharp really wanted to be here he'd have signed by now so if he's having doubts then **** him and move on! I only want players here who want to play for Leicester City! I guess your another one who plays Footy manager and thinks transfers are just like that? It'll be a complicated deal which takes time. Patience.
LcfcforEvazz25 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 apprently doncaster said they want him for them not get relagated and said we can have him in the summer
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 apprently doncaster said they want him for them not get relagated and said we can have him in the summer Right . . . . .
m00nie Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Don't understand the big deal about getting a striker in. everyone knows all we need is width and a quality midfielder who can win the ball and put it out wide! yeah our manager must be stupid to be after a striker.. how did he ever get a managers job..
SMX11 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 apprently doncaster said they want him for them not get relagated and said we can have him in the summer Oh ok now you put it that way The lad is going to come, lets just be patient. Anyone on twitter can spout rumours about the outcome of contract negoitaions but I am pretty sure no news is good news as he hasn't rejected us.
wellyfox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 apprently doncaster said they want him for them not get relagated and said we can have him in the summer An Alan Smith deal. Buy him now n loan him back. I really hope not.
wattolcfc Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 apprently doncaster said they want him for them not get relagated and said we can have him in the summer Not a lot they can do if we've hit his release clause.
dannythefox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 apprently doncaster said they want him for them not get relagated and said we can have him in the summer Piss off!
I am Rod Hull Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 If Doncaster wanted him so much, why did they leave him out of their FA cup game last weekend? He`s on his way out for sure...
MPH Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 I wouldnt be suprised if we signed him and part of the deal was for us to Loan them Schlupp for the rest of the season. Once he recovers, of course....
ibbosuk Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Just asked a football agent Peter Morrison about Billy Sharp, he thinks he will end up signing for Leicester City.
StanSP Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Right if Billy Sharp really wanted to be here he'd have signed by now so if he's having doubts then **** him and move on! I only want players here who want to play for Leicester City! You on a wind-up? Football transfers these days take a lot longer than what you seem to think. Who said he's having doubts? No-one has ever said that. Think about the situation for a bit. Yes it is a lot of money probably being offered by us, but there is also the emotional ties at Doncaster. He is loved by every single fan there most likely for all he's done at that club. It'll be a hard move to make if he does come. Plus there's the family issue. If he doesn't want to travel from Sheffield every day for training and matches etc, Does he want to dislodge his family, especially after what they've been through recently, to a whole new place where he, in all honesty, probably doesn't know many people and will take time to settle in, let alone settling in at the club itself. Just have some patience. Give him time to make his decision. It's not about 'if he hasn't signed yet, he doesn't want to come'. That's all bullshit.
flowwolf Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Why not a straight swop Beckford for Sharp--Job done.
EnderbyFox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Why not a straight swop Beckford for Sharp--Job done. Because there is no chance that Donny can afford Beckford's wages, and if they could they would just offer that money to Sharp anyway haha
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Wonder if this thread will get to Nicky Maynard esq replies.
NewburyFox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Wonder if this thread will get to Nicky Maynard esq replies. No thread will ever reach the level of insanity that the Maynard threads had.
foxfanazer Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Why not a straight swop Beckford for Sharp--Job done. We've had a bid accepted so it's not that part that's the problem. Just sign billy!
TrentFox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 We've had a bid accepted so it's not that part that's the problem. Just sign billy! You have to feel for BS in many ways. I know he gets fabulously rewarded as a pro-footballer, but he has been through the most traumatiuc of personal events. His club were undoubtedly a brilliant support for his family. Irrespective of footballing reasons, it must be a really, really difficult decision for him to walk away from them now .... for us or anyone else. I'm confident that, if he does come, he will be 100% committed. Just hope we offer him the same support as fans that he has received from all at Donny, which is making it such a tough call for him. Ultimately, we're all just people trying to get through the malestrom of life and feel like we 'belong'. I think it speaks volumes for the man that he hasn't just snapped our hands off for the money.

Oh no I agree with you completely and I don't mean just sign billy as in hes messing us about, just really hope we get him. In all honesty if he signed a new contract at donny I'd have a massive amount of respect for him, but if he went fulham I'd be dissapointed after him saying he doesn't wanna move away from sheffield
