Billy Sharp

First post on here guys, I live just outside Glasgow hence the username, that said I have still managed to see the foxes play 9 times this season which aint too bad for a 600 mile round trip.....quite sad when i classed middlesborough away as a local fixture (still didnt get home till gone 1 in the morning tho!).

Anyway my point is this....... I think Billy would make a great impact on the team....at least he works hard without the ball unlike someone that I dont need to mention, that said, like most of you willl probably agree, he will not be the answer to our problems......we desperately need, and have done for at least 3 years now, quality and pacey wide men. I may get laughed at but i honestly think that we only need 3 players to make a masssive difference.

With 2 pacey wide men teams will be more reluctant to press us and therefore we will become less overrun in midfield. I believe Abe has the ability to be an effective defensive midfielder and that would leave a choice of one from two of either King or Wellens. Again I will probably get slaughtered for this but I would go for Wellens....I honestly believe that with more of an outlet ie, wide men then Wellens would be a much more effective and dangerous player. These are just my thoughts but I am very open for critiscism/debate....thanks for reading

Well said, and cracking effort getting to see City 9 times so far, i live 20 minutes walk away from the stadium and ive only seen 4 games so far this season (although i do work shifts etc)

Billy Sharp could be a Leicester City player in time for tomorrow's Championship match against Barnsley at the King Power Stadium.

City assistant boss Craig Shakespeare says the club are "in the driving seat" even though Fulham are also believed to be pursuing the Doncaster Rovers striker.

LM

It could be happening

We sure know how to drag transfers out nowadays.

Don't wanna sign him today anyway, we all know strikers become jinxed once Leicester City sign them, so that added with him signing on Friday 13th he'll be destined to fail, atleast if we don't sign him today he'll one of the 2 will be out of the equation.

its good that we know our financial team are not just throwing the money about, they are trying for the best deal for the club, which imo is right.

I dreamt that I was showing Billy Sharp around Hinckley in a very small car yesterday. He was like, is this it!? and I was embarassed to say that this is where he would be living if he came to Leicester.

In the dream it felt like there was nothing else in Leicestershire except Hinckley. To be fair though, he didnt give me a direct 'No.' Probably still better than Doncaster

Is this guy reliable?

he posted a few days before the cameron stewart second bid was announced, and also before we had made a second bid for sharpy boy. so yea i suppose there is a degree of legitimacy

@FootballAgent12

everything sorted now RE Billy Sharp to #LCFC expect him to join up with the team next week.

Only verbally agreed, looking at his other tweets he says Fulham were rejected due to distance. He will play tomorrow so let's hope he doesn't injure himself or someone else comes in.

I think he just wants to have one last game with Donny to say goodbye, hope he doesn't get injured though...

Spot on. One of his requests!

Fair play to the guy he seems to a very loyal type of player exactly what we need I'm sure he would like to stay where he is but the truth is the offer Leicester have made him would be too good to refuse the guy to turn down. Footballers at this level do get paid very well but its a short career in professional football especially sometimes as a striker and he needs to think of his future and realistically a potential £5000 to £25000 per week extra on top of what he is paid now would be crazy for him to turn down. Lets hope its all set in stone next week and NP can prioritise sorting our shite midfield out
