He's made a reasonable case in an articulate way, which is more than can be said for the goons on twitter begging Sharp to come. As others have pointed out this is only one of 46 games, but at this stage of the season time is against us and we don't currently have anyone who looks remotely like scoring. That said, if Sharp is the right player, and I believe he is (although I'd still have liked Maynard) then we should wait for him. It's not the end of the world if he misses today. Now for that elusive winger... Agreed.Freeman Wharfer shouldn't be pilloried for an articulately stated view. I respect his viewpoint, and it is frustrating not to have Sharp starting for us today. However, at the end of the day, if we can't beat Barnsley at home without Sharp then you have to look at the ineptitude of our current strikers, and of Sven in failing to land a 20-a-season man when he had all summer to do it. oh get a grip you fools. we are allowed opinions just like he is. my opinion is that there is nothing short of moronic opinions coming out of his mouth so deal with it. and call me back whatever you want to - that will be your opinion.

This is a football forum. It's an arena in which anyone can air their opinions and as such there are always going to be differing opinions. No one's right and no one is wrong, because we're trading in opinion on mainly trivial matters in the grander scheme. The sensible way to deal with the potential conflicts that arise in opinion is to articulate your viewpoint (with or without justification) in opposition to the content of the post, not to be slinging playground insults at each other. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sat here crying my eyes out because you disagree with me or because you've branded me moronic. This is the internet and people will always feel more at liberty to trade insults through a keyboard, but there are a lot of good writers on this forum and it would be a shame if we all just resulted to slanging matches instead of debate/discussion. So I won't "call you back" anything...

I believe doncaster played Barnsley recently and a section of Barnsley fans chanted a lot horrible stuff towards Billy Sharp. To do with the tragic news about Billy Sharps Son. As we are playing against Barnsley on Saturday why would he want to join and play against them, if he misses this match and then does sign for us he will not play against them for at least the rest of this season. spot on!

On the plus side i read on the BBC gossip column they are after "marvin Sordell" from Watford and are favorites to land him.How much truth is in those columns is real i dont know but we can but hope they have given in on Billy Sharp.Also i doubt they will show it on G soccer special,but it would be interesting to see Billy Sharps reaction(if any) to the crowd at full time.
