MORAL DILEMMA

definitely promotion...

Much prefer to be playing in the prem week in week out than really exciting away trips to the likes of Doncaster and blackpool.

Winning the FA will not enhance our prospects as a team long term at all. Winning promotion to the prem will do... it will also enhance our chances of winning the FA cup in the future if we have better players at the club that promotion is sure to attract.

Its a no brainer for me.

As opposed to the trips to Madrid, Milan etc that winning the FA Cup brings?

Hmm....

Sky high ticket prices, Sunday lunchtime kick offs and relegation scraps/midtable mediocrity vs winning the best cup competition in the world (one that we've never won before) and seeing Leicester play in Europe. No. Brainer.

You're basically asking, if you were a Pompey fan would you rather still be in the Premiership or as you are now. Not sure too many of them would swap the season they had a couple of years ago seeing as they're relatively okay in the Championship now.

Agree completely, can attract better future players!

Well considering those teams play in the Champions League vs. Europa League, not sure what you are on about

Most pointless thread ever. Our players are nowhere near good enough to reach either final.

now the first word was "Imagine" ,, ,,, of course we aint good enough, and it will never happen, but 2 years ago would anyone have thought sven would have managed the club? Miracles & shit cant happen....... FOR the record Id take the FA CUP. Thats history & a trophy and it is embaressing we have never won it and the royal engineers have. Not to mention cov & forest. Lighten up ;-) and happy new year

FA Cup of course - Brilliant competition and a European tour, anyone who would prefer to be absolutely shafted for ticket prices and watch us flounder near the bottom of the prem needs their head checking.

FA Cup, we would be the first side from Division 1 (next season, should be relegated by May) to win it.... :(

KEEP THE FAITH... :fishing:

Anyone that chooses promotion is daft.

The FA Cup is the top of my list that I'd like us to win. The worlds most famous club competition and our named engraved on the trophy forever!?

No brainer for me.

Guess i'll be daft then.

And what prospects do we have other than winning a trophy? Champions League football? The Premier league title? Or just finishing midtable?

Winning trophies should be the aim of EVERY football club, that is why we take part.

Why would you want to attract better players? So we have a chance of winning a trophy.

What's so great about playing teams like Bolton, Wigan and Wolves? What's so great about losing games to big clubs? A loss is still a loss is it not?

FA Cup, for the modern day it'd be a miracle for a side from the second tier to do it. Also, we'd be able to rid ourselves of being the only team to make 4 finals and to have never won it. A year in europe also. We will get into the Premier League again one day and if we are ever to win the FA Cup, I doubt it'd be in a manner such as that

FA Cup, i'd love us to win something again and with the europa league format as it is now theres potential for a couple of decent weekends away, I never got to do madrid or vienna.

Athletico have been in the Europa last few years, Inter probably will be next year.

FA cup.

I've always been annoyed that we never won the top cup competition or the top league in this country considering our long history and some of the chances we've had.

Its has to be FA Cup every time.Best cup competitio in the world.

I'd take a 1-0 v florist,cov or derby 94th min goal would do.But being

as though we'll be knocking florist out in the 3rd round this season

then it'll have to be cov or derby. :crylaugh:
