Fox2323 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 @BertLcfc: A rumour, and please let me re-iterate that it's only a rumour but #lcfc are SAID to be close to signing Ben Marshall.”
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 He does want to leave this january if Stoke accept a bid. Our bid of £500,000 was rejected by Stoke this morning though.
champions 08/09 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 think this guy is just the sort of player we need
Tielemans63 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Sounds like he would be a decent aquisition - let's hope we can agree a deal without paying silly money.
thybluefox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Right now I'd much rather him than Vardy for similar money.
Bettsy82 Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Is he any good ? Don't know anything about the lad.
Danno Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Sheff Wed supporting mate at school said he's class, pretty quick, good crossing, can shoot, beat a man etc. Says he was their best player.
Cumbria Fox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 I've seen him a few times when he was on a long term loan at Carlisle, (last season) and he was impressive. The Carlisle fans loved him and the manager tried to sign him again this season but he chose to go to Wednesday instead. He's only young and may be well worth signing. He is only going to get better and would be worth a shout.
Happy Fox Posted 24 January 2012 Author Posted 24 January 2012 John__Percy John Percy #LCFC have made an enquiry for #SCFC winger Ben Marshall. Bid expected shortly. Also interest from #Celtic
EcclesallOwl Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 Wednesday fan in peace here. Ben Marshall is quality. If you get him for anything under £1.5m EVEN though he's in the last 6 months of his contract, you will have got a bargain. He wants to leave Stoke because he wants first team football, he wanted to stay with us but it looks like we weren't prepared to offer the money they wanted. He is quick (not lightning though), skillful, both footed, great shot, great cross and a magnificent work ethic. He will be a Premier League player within a few years. Now it looks like he's not coming to us, I want him to go to Leicester.
nickelbyfox Posted 24 January 2012 Posted 24 January 2012 http://www.dailymail...Leicester.html? Well according to Daily Mail he has chosen us, but they are obviously not reliable or offering any really new perspective, same offer 500k
dimmerchant Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 This has Nigel Pearson written all over it. Can't say I've ever seen him play but from the sounds of it he sounds like a very tidy player, with huge drive. Get him in.
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 He will choose us if we have a bid accepted. If we bid closer to a million. Stoke are being stubborn because he won't stay there. That's what I was told by someone from his end this afternoon

That's what I was told by someone from his end this afternoon I think it'll be good for us if he doesn't want to stay - Stoke should be keen to cash in.
Langston Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 He wants to leave Stoke because he wants first team football. Sounds a good lad. I swear everybody seems to know in a Wednesday fan - the guy I know really, really rates Marshall. Looks like we're laughing for 500K.

It's good to see fans from other clubs doing positive postings instead of the usual slag fest. Ta me duck ! ( Leicester talk for " thank you " )

EcclesallOwl Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Whats the love of the Foxes for Not quite sure... Just a proper club with good support really...
Lambert09 Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 "Meanwhile, Doncaster are taking Peru defender Jesus Rabanal on trial. The 26-year-old is a friend of former Newcastle midfielder Nolberto Solano." Did this make anyone else laugh? What has him being Nobbys friend got to do with anything ?
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Get this cnut in. Looks a proper player. Great arse too
Saxondale Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Not quite sure... Just a proper club with good support really... Good lad. Makes a refreshing change. Since we stopped being skint (how dare us), most opposition fans seem to regard us as rich, evil monsters!
