davieG Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 If you've got Sky you can get ESPN free for 2 months at the moment, not sure what packages it applies to.
nuttytimmy Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 If you've got Sky you can get ESPN free for 2 months at the moment, not sure what packages it applies to. Virgin isn't it? It's appeared on my Grandad's V+ box and he doesn't have XL package...
Captain... Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 I bet they will have extra mics on the fans and a bit of analysis on racist chanting, maybe even some action replays of the fans, super slow mo shot of some phlegm arcing across the divide to hit a young asian female in the ear. Seriously though, I don't know how big this racism story has got outside of the East Midlands, but our fans better be whiter than white* in terms of our behaviour or it really could backfire. *No pun/racial slur intended
davieG Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Virgin isn't it? It's appeared on my Grandad's V+ box and he doesn't have XL package... Sky have it on offer at the moment free for 2 months, as I said not sure what package you have to have to qualify.
Babylon Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Seriously though, I don't know how big this racism story has got outside of the East Midlands, but our fans better be whiter than white* in terms of our behaviour or it really could backfire. Backfire how? Nobody has claimed we are better than anyone else, we are well aware we have our own idiots. If they decide to sing something equally as pathetic I hope they get nicked for it also.
1964FOX Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Being on ESPN should have less of an effect on our attendance than being on ITV, in my mind a low attendance will be so embarrasing after the way we made a big issue of their 10,000.
Yojoe36 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 What kind of game is QPR vs MK Dons? A fvcking shite one. Anyway I'm not complaining. I'm glad we ain't on ITV. ESPN is a poor man's Sky Sports I have sky, and I can't afford ESPN... says a lot
Captain... Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Backfire how? Nobody has claimed we are better than anyone else, we are well aware we have our own idiots. If they decide to sing something equally as pathetic I hope they get nicked for it also. Too true, maybe backfire was the wrong word, don't care if it's our racists or theirs that get picked up for actual racism, I can see them making an issue over some of the things chanted during the match and, depending on their agenda, could turn it back on us and pick up our chants and what we may see as a banter they might interpret as abuse. With the cameras there, it will be interesting to see if the Forest fans chant you used to be English and small town in Bhagdad and we respond with singing about Cloughie, and how they are perceived by the ESPN team.
Corky Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Good news. An alternative if I decide not to travel over.
Babylon Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Think I'll be a part timer and watch it at home. Boooo me.
HEGGSY Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Right, I'm off to Brighton away then if this is on TV. Save my self the £20 odd and put it towards Brighton
flowwolf Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Great I can sit at home and watch it with the sound turned off so as not to be offended by those naughty boys shouting nasty things.
StanSP Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 I'm a plastic fan, too. I'm happy. I am the 99%.
paulsherwood1 Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 If you have an iPad / iPhone and are a sky customer, you can download the sky mobile tv app ( not sky go ). And for £6 a month you can get all sports channels on your device even if you are not a sky sports subscriber. As part of this you get ESPN too!
AlphaMaleFox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 I hope that, after the match, none of our armchair fans will not be complained of the lack of atmosphere on the King Power Stadium...
davieG Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 I hope that, after the match, none of our armchair fans will not be complained of the lack of atmosphere on the King Power Stadium... Isn't the atmosphere better without them, that's what i keep reading on here.
okie fox Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 If you've got Sky you can get ESPN free for 2 months at the moment, not sure what packages it applies to. If you get the deal, remember to cancel it 31 days in advance of the end of the deal. Otherwise, you will start paying for it by the week after it expires.
Karljohn Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 LCFC could have offered a ticket for £10 for those who went on saturday providing they could prove it with a stub or receipt, must have known there was a good possibility of this being shown live, cant see forest travelling in any great numbers anyway but even less so now, be lucky to get 15k.
