blueharmie Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Oi idiot in the first post. Like the players care on 20k a week. Get real. That was a disgrace today. Major problems in this team. Beckford wellens king Gallagher all need to leave. New challenge mabye boys? We need one centre midfielder a right and left winger and a striker to replace that joker beckford. They deserve booing today how you can defend them is beyond me. I love Leicester but not when they have done what they did today. Can u not see they couldn't be bothered ?
Mack Posted 14 January 2012 Author Posted 14 January 2012 The oppressive atmosphere was created by the oppressive performance on the pitch, no I didn't boo, never have done, neither have or would I cheer a player being subbed but I did groan and I did moan not because I like to but because of the totally inept performance by the players and the management. I make no apologies for that. We played poorly but were only one goal down. Whether they deserve it or not had the fans really tried to lift the team surely that is a better reaction that just abusing everyone in a Blue shirt? Express you feelings after the game if you must, but slating players 12 minutes in is just saddening.
Walker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 They're human. Getting paid ridiculous wages doesn't change that. You pay your money you do what you want- we know, we know. What's frustrating is that most seem to go to the games to vent their frustration at 'being paid considerably less' than the players. It's just such a shame that most of our fans have forgotten how to support the team.
lestajigs Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 The players did not put in a performance today, They where terrible, if we pay money we have every right to voice our anger! ****ing disgrace

I think you're being lenient.
filbertway Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Some players react well to booing/critical comments and some fold. It's human nature and no matter how much money you're paid, deep down you're not really going to be able to control how you react, even if you can be professional and disguise it in interviews. If the constant criticism from fans is causing their performance to drop due to pressure or whatever, then it'd probably be best to lose those types of players sooner rather than later. Fans will never stop booing and some players will never react well to it. Both sides can't really be blamed for their actions as they happen naturally. In an ideal world, our fans would be behind the boys like they're playing a Premier League team at home in the cup, week in week out. As that obviously raises confidence and work rate. You can't expect fans to look at the big picture in the heat of the moment though. That probably makes no sense, so apologies to all who wasted their time reading that haha.
Finnegan Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 OK hold on. Have you forgotten he plays for your team? A team that I assume you want to be successful? So why or how is hammering the only 11 men that can make it successful productive in any way? So what would you do? Clap and cheer for a bunch of no marks who don't give a shit and aren't good enough? It's not JUST about confidence and morale! We're tactically inept, we've got a bunch of below-par players that our fans have convinced themselves are reasonable because we rode the wave of promotion from League One for one flash-in-the-pan season and we've got a gaffer that couldn't inspire a sex addict to **** Megan Fox.

I'm glad you think that hammering players who play for the team you are supposed to support is fine. But dont panic, carry on and I'm sure you will get plenty more to moan and boo about because playing in that environment they stand no chance at all.

I agree we are poor, but I also understand that the fans make it worse by the way they are reacting, and if the fans want this poor run of form to turn they need to play their own part and help by creating a more positive atmosphere.
MrFox781 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I boo'ed at full time for the first time ever. I've wasted money on my season ticket, froze like shit today and wasted about four hours of my life. mate i have every right to boo them at the end cuz at the end of the day that was ****ing shit. simply these players are getting paid a bomb and they cant even show a bit of effort on the pitch. i didnt cheer when gallagher got subbed but i regret not doing so cuz that was just utter shit from him. ****ing fuming rite now.

To be fair that could have been said of his predecessor too... However, pretty much spot on. I'm not one for getting on the players backs the moment they do something wrong - it doesn't do anyone any good, but I've had enough of this lot, utter dirge and disinterested.
Guest Bilo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 One thing I will say, if you're one of those who've decided it's a good idea to have a go at Gallagher's wife on Twitter you are a massive fvckwit. None of us are happy with the team at the moment, and the season is dead. We all know that. Booing is counter productive and will affect the obviously shit dressing room morale yet further, but who can blame us in another sense? In an economic climate where money is tight, football is an expensive luxury and right now fans feel as though it a waste of money. I expect attendances decline to below the 20,000 by the end of the season the way things are going.
fatmando Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Finnegan's comments in this thread are bang on correct! You do your job shit and you get stick it for it. You have a high profile job....you get high profile stick! The ****ing players should make sure they put in more effort next time and then they won't get any stick. Bet Kasper, Lloyd and Konch weren't getting any, and they won't be effected by the boos at the end, cos they know they gave it their all, unlike the rest of them.
lcfcadam Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 we've got a gaffer that couldn't inspire a sex addict to **** Megan Fox.
pen2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 What are we supposed to do when for the last 3 games we have been subjected to shocking below par performances, I know lets all clap and cheer and make them think they are all doing really well and we fully understand that Pro footballers cant pass the ball 5 yards to a player in the same colour shirt then when they lose the ball its ok to throw your hands up in the air and not bother to at least chase back.
davieG Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 We played poorly but were only one goal down. Express you feelings after the game if you must, but slating players 12 minutes in is just saddening. I thought there were periods in the 2nd half when the crowd were really vocal but they gave up after successive moves broke down through piss poor passing there's only so much a fan can take in terms of under performing players before their will breaks and we've hardly seen a decent performance in weeks. This club is a complete shambles with it's revolving manager and player doors there's a complete lack of synergy on the pitch and as a fan I feel like a passenger on a rudderless ship. Not deluded but disillusioned.
flattmint Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 The vast majority of football fans, even ours, don't go to games just to boo, it's not like it's enjoyable is it? If, god forbid, we actually play well people won't boo. How much booing was there when we played well against Derby? None. People are just fed up now and if the players are consistantly this shit then they have a right to show it.

If, god forbid, we actually play well people won't boo. How much booing was there when we played well against Derby? None. People are just fed up now and if the players are consistantly this shit then they have a right to have show it. This is so true, the way some people go on on here it's like everyone's just looking for an excuse to boo. Whereas in reality I think we'd all prefer to watch our players put in some sort of performance that we can applaud. Oh and btw, even teams full of technically shit players often pull off performances much better than what we saw today (and have been seeing for months now). We haven't even got that to fall back on.
Bettsj2 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I see Hayley Gallagher taking shit of some Leicester fans on Twitter now. So thats the players, players wives, management, owners, each other and even the local commentary team that our fans have slagged off. Pearson said there was some 'dillusions of grandure'. He's absolutely spot on. Since Sven dropped Weale for Ricardo, the atmosphere and attitude at the stadium has become more negative with each game regardless of win, loss or draw. My last home game was against Palace and despite a resounding win, all people wanted to talk about was Kaspers save, Beckfords miss and a bunch of rubbish passes from Mills. This bullshit about paying our money so we can say what we want is a load of shit. If I gave a tramp £20, I wouldnt be justified in screaming abuse at him for an hour because I dont like his life choices. If you support a team, the clue is in the word. Booing isnt supporting. All it does is breed negativity. I know they're not playing well at the minute and I know the games are mostly shit. But it aint ever gonna get any better if the majority of the fans behave like they are. I've been guilty of it in the past but looking from a distance, you can see the hypocracy of every single person in the stadium that abused the players today. Ask yourself this question, if your boss came into you every day of the week and said, 'I pay your wages so i'm going to give you shit for a couple of hours', would you want to work for them?
Corky Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 The crowd, at times, tried to get the team going. There was a rousing "Come on Leicester" at one point. But the fans were fed up of the total ineptitude shown on the pitch and understandably got frustrated and it spilt over. We've all been told that the top two was the aim this season. You talk the talk and you need to walk the walk otherwise people will turn very quickly.
Swalker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I agree with everything you say and I'm not a booer. However, today I did boo at the end of the match purely out of the disgust of the lack of passion and desire our player shown today- not throwing their body on the line, not going up for headers. And at the end it summed it up, all of our players scurried back to the tunnel whilst their own keeper, broke down into tears on the pitch. People recognised this and the passion he shows and he got clapped and cheered whilst his 'teammates' were in the tunnel. I don't boo poor play because at least they're trying but I do boo no passion, there's no excuse for a lack of passion.
wellyfox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I'll be honest I can't get to games this season as of yet anyway (had an accident and damaged my back) I will agree with the OP we should no BOOOOOOOOOOOO during the game. The end of the game is there for that. I'll also state I did'nt want NP back yes we was bad ubder sven but we are getting worse. The sooner he's gone the better. And as I said early in the week we wont go up we wont even make the play off's. But really we should all back the team and players till the final whistle. Then make your feelings known
Finnegan Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Ask yourself this question, if your boss came into you every day of the week and said, 'I pay your wages so i'm going to give you shit for a couple of hours', would you want to work for them? Do you live in the real world? My boss doesn't come up to me at the end of every day of the week and give me shit for a couple of hours. Do you know why!? Because I do a good ****ing job! I'm competent! I'm matching the expectations of my employers and producing work that equates to the resources put in. In fact, to toot my own horn, I'm doing better than expected with what I'm given!! But if I wasn't? I'd ACCEPT a bollocking because good money is being paid in my bank account for me to sit at my desk, concentrate and work hard to produce! Our owners have invested MILLIONS in this club, we've all paid THOUSANDS of our own money to watch this team and the least we can expect is competence! Football fans don't boo and harrass teams that are playing well, that are visibly showing effort and endeavour. I can forgive a losing side that's at least well organized, hard working and giving it's best but this one just falls short on every front. I say again, I did NOT boo today and I absolutely never have. But I'm not going to sit there like some mouth-breathing, arse-scratching happy-clapper with a sub-human IQ and cheer my guts out like I'm actually happy to see my team roll over and concede defeat to a side vastly it's inferior. Supporters do not make or break results. Nor do we go in to the stadium and boo from the off, people start to boo and shout when players start playing consistently ****ing awfully week after week after week. It's our way of giving feed back because we have no platform to give appraisals directly despite the huge investment we put in in time and money. The players shouldn't need us to be partying like it's whatever year's trendy at the moment. They should be able to sit down in that dressing ground or on that training pitch, put their heads together, connect and motivate themselves. That's their job.

You compare giving a tramp £20 once to paying for Season Ticket after Season Ticket for seeing your players perform for your club? And as for putting the blame for these constant lacklustre performances on dropping Weale for Ricardo... Ridiculous. EDIT: Harrassing Gallagher's wife on Twitter is bang out of order.
