A message for the 'fans'

Paid my money, thought we were terrible and joked with my mate about how poor certain players are but i never booed and think that if you have to, wait until the end of the match.

Intermitent booing during the game only profits the opposition.

I see Hayley Gallagher taking shit of some Leicester fans on Twitter now.

So thats the players, players wives, management, owners, each other and even the local commentary team that our fans have slagged off.

Pearson said there was some 'dillusions of grandure'. He's absolutely spot on. Since Sven dropped Weale for Ricardo, the atmosphere and attitude at the stadium has become more negative with each game regardless of win, loss or draw. My last home game was against Palace and despite a resounding win, all people wanted to talk about was Kaspers save, Beckfords miss and a bunch of rubbish passes from Mills.

This bullshit about paying our money so we can say what we want is a load of shit. If I gave a tramp £20, I wouldnt be justified in screaming abuse at him for an hour because I dont like his life choices.

If you support a team, the clue is in the word. Booing isnt supporting. All it does is breed negativity. I know they're not playing well at the minute and I know the games are mostly shit. But it aint ever gonna get any better if the majority of the fans behave like they are.

I've been guilty of it in the past but looking from a distance, you can see the hypocracy of every single person in the stadium that abused the players today.

Ask yourself this question, if your boss came into you every day of the week and said, 'I pay your wages so i'm going to give you shit for a couple of hours', would you want to work for them?

Other than the bit about giving Gallagher's girlfriend grief on Twitter, which is imbecilic and unacceptable, everything else in this post is deluded garbage. I can't even be bothered to explain why, others have already pretty much done so.

I would rather sit in the kp with 10,000 optimistic fans than have to listen to the drivel being spouted around today in a crowd of 20,000. I honestly can't see why these people bother going if they are going to moan and boo at every miss placed pass, it really is quite embarrassing now.

Boo me for 20k a week. The players don't care. Overpaid and shit. Apart from kasper who for te sake of his career leaves because he is one hell I a keeper.

And if that misplaced pass is the 20th pass that the player has got wrong in the game, when we're losing, in the last 10 minutes?

People didn't go there to boo from the off.

Did you hear booing at the Derby game? At the Brighton game? No, because we played well enough and didn't give the fans any reason to boo.

I didn't boo (I don't anyway) but I can see why those that booed did it.

Some of you calling people "Plastic fans" because we spent over 15 Million pounds on a sqaud and we're 15th in the f**king league what the f**k do you expect?

Posted

I didnt boo but i can certainly see why people did. At the end of the day people pay their money and can show whatever emotion they want. Its their right.

Statements like 'how are player meant to perform in such a negative atmosphere' are nothing short of naieve. Dont you ever think a namanger would slam their team telling them how bad they were? Dont you ever think a manager will single out a player for having a bad game?! Yes.. its simple.... they do.

We dont have any other way to express our feelings as a collective other than cheering or booing. There is no inbetween, no way of making assertive noises and no way to specifically get your point across. PLayers are big enough and old enough to take cheering and booing on the chin and, yes, the fact they get paid a shit load for playing a hobbie can do nothing but to soften the abuse. What the hell are we meant to do when were anry at a dismal performance? Sit there and sing an uplifting hymn like ''morning has broken'?!

Support your team in any way you like, if you want to show your displeasure then do it. You have every right to. Those that dont cheer, sing and chant could also be accused of not giving a shit.

Support your club as you see fit. Dont try and tell people what to do and for gods sake stop posting such drivel on what is otherwise an interesting and insightful forum.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

One thing worst than fans that moan.

The ones that moan about the fans moaning.

I did actually Boooooooooo today because the vast majority of those players who should wear that shirt with pride, did not put in a shift.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

See you on Tuesday in the hope a miracle might happen Bluuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeee Army!

So Finnegan, everyone's a moron except you and an exclusive circle of people (presumably chosen by you), Pearson is a terrible manager who only succeeded the first time because winning League One at a canter was child's play, and you'd never get stick from your boss because you're absolutely superb at your job?

Get your head out of your own ass mate. Fair enough we were shit today, but how are any of your comments going to help anyone except your own inflated ego?

Why are we only just realising that we have some of the shittest supporters in league football? I swear my IQ drops about 5 points every Saturday, just being around some of the morons there.

Why do you not get that booing actually hurts the team? Why do not not understand that singing songs about how shit we are actually makes us place worse? Do some of you not remember the old Kop and to a lesser extent, the new Kop during our League 1 tour? We could almost suck the ball into the net. Nowadays, some of us just make it a whole lot worse.

You have no idea what your talking about. Do you play professional football? Have you experienced this first hand?? I doubt it. YOu statement is based on your opinion, not fact.

The same could be said for a manager giving his team a kick up the ass and saying how crap they were, shouting and going mental at them.

A lot of the time that works....

Can you imagine trying to get a player to sign for us,

Nigel person says 'come down to a match and see the support you will get off our magnificent fans'

New player thinks fuk that I'm not going there!

We've been underperforming for quite a while now, just before Sven took over, just before he got sacked, then again manager-less and now during Pearson's second tenure.

Btw, we didn't take the League One title "at a canter".

Yes I'm worried about your IQ as well mate.

So Finnegan, everyone's a moron except you

Indeed.

Pearson is a terrible manager who only succeeded the first time because winning League One at a canter was child's play

Not at all but we did come up with a squad that then seriously over-achieved in the wake of the confidence and momentum promotion gave. Pearson did a fantastic job generating that enthusiasm and as the like of Thracian will attest to, I've had been eager to defend the man in the past when he's been bemoaned by posters here. But many of our fans got an inflated opinion of the likes of Gallagher, Wellens, Howard, King and co' following our brief success and it's time a lot of them let go and accepted that we've got a squad largely comprised of journeymen and a few quality individuals that Sven brought in.

Pearson strikes me as another Holloway. A good manager, undeniably, but one who's out of his depth with the weight of expectation and - more significantly - heftier financial backing than he's used to. The club doesn't have "delusions of grandeur", what it has is an extremely professional set of owners with Premier League aspirations who are building a Premier League club. I'm no bozo, I'm well aware it takes hard work and labour to get to the promised land and I'll tolerate our taking sweet time to get there if all's well that ends well. But can the same be said of Top and co'?

The pressure to deliver is clearly on Pearson and it strikes me that he's genuinely struggling to produce under it. I really hope I'm wrong, I really hope he turns it around because - beneath the gruff and steely stares - I think he's actually probably a very decent bloke.

and you'd never get stick from your boss because you're absolutely superb at your job?

I put the effort in and I'm currently meeting expectations. As I said, were I not I'd readily accept and expect a bollocking - not just from my line manager but from those who have a vested interest in the service I supply. That's how the world works and football's no different. We're the end user, we've a right to expect a return for our investment and to express our displeasure when what we get for our money is that shoddy.

Because let's not lose sight of this - we're not talking about a marginally below par performance, today. We're not talking about just booing every, tiny mistake. We're talking about being outraged by one of the most shocking performances by this club's representative eleven since the season we were relegated.

how are any of your comments going to help anyone except your own inflated ego?

They're currently doing a good job of getting the irritation out of my system. In a minute I'm going to log off, relax a bit, forget about it and get on with my life. It's an internet forum, it's pretty much why we're all here - isn't it?

Our fans mostly piss me off whether we're winning or losing, most of you are completely retarded and Foxes Talk's posters are no exception.

But having sat in the bitter cold today and having paid good money to watch over-earning professionals put on that shit a performance I'll defend anyone's right to vocally express their disgust.

That was one of the most sickeningly incompetent performances I've ever had to sit through. If I was that bad at my job I'd be disciplined and, if David Cameron gets his way, sacked in weeks! I didn't boo, I never have, but nor did I feel any ill will to anyone who did. The "boys" deserve all the criticism they get. Inept.

I read the first line and was going to tell you to stop being such a pompous arse.

I then read the rest of the post and agree entirely.

Is there any room for me to join you up there on your high horse?!

Yeah, climb aboard.

I actually said to my mate today that I don't normally agree with booing your own team, but after that performance I fully agreed with everyone who did.

I'd be pissed off at my 6-a-side team mates if they put in a performance like that. The fact that paid professionals can't consistently pass a ball to a player wearing the same shirt as them is absolutely baffling. What's worse is we know that these players aren't shit. We know they can do it yet somehow suddenly seem incapable of doing the simplest of things. And if you're going to demonstrate a complete lack of ability, then you could at least show a bit of effort and endeavour to make up for it.

And then on top of all this, I'm expected to pay upwards of 25 quid for the privilege of watching it? You must be having fvcking a laugh.
