From TV:

Schmeichel 7 - One good stop, but almost cost us a goal

Peltier 7.5 - Great cross for our 2nd.

Mills 7 - Strong in the air and on the ground, but again with the hoofing.

St. Ledger 8 - Good in defence, excellent on the ball.

Konchesky 7 - Solid

Gallagher 7.5 - Still mincing, but linked play nicely going forward

Danns 8.5 - Exactly what we bought him for. Great pass selection and driving runs.

Wellens 8 - Good

Dyer 8 - Good assist for our first

Beckford 9 - Clearly man of the match. Great off-the-ball work and finishing.

Nugent 8 - Incessant hard work

No I dont, but he was hardly great tonight. Corners were mostly crap, and it was comical when he put his foot in for a challenge and then pulled out of it like a girl.

Probably should have scored as well.

Schmeichel 7 - Must have missed the alleged blunder, absolutely blinding save in the first half. Was right level with it.

Peltier 8 - Seemed to be absolutely everywhere, really relished going forward. Big improvement from Saturday.

Mills 7 - Really starting to get infuriated with his distribution. Reasonable defensively and seems harsh to grant a low score but it MUST improve.

St. Ledger 8 - Solid, calm, not great in the air but uses his brain and his feet much better than Mills.

Konchesky 7 - A little outshone by Peltier today but I don't remember him putting a foot wrong.

Gallagher 6 - I'm sorry, I know he improved from the first leg and the Barnsley game but he should never have had a place today and he didn't do enough to vindicate his selection. Harsh, maybe.

Danns 8 - Bit clumsy on the ball at times but full of energy. Literally everywhere, threw himself at the ball when he didn't have it and came bursting forward when he did.

Wellens 8 - Much, much better. The old Richie Wellens. Looked absolutely knackered at times but put his body on the line without being reckless and passed the ball sensibly.

Dyer 7.5 - Ran and ran and ran. Generally poor final product but terrified them and created space.

Beckford 10 - Finally. It just all fell in to place. You knew from him chasing the ball down early on he was really in the mood. His casual chip over Camp sealed a great night for him - more of the same Jermaine!

Nugent 9 - The foil to Beckford's rapier. Ran his socks off and a bit of an unsung hero today. Completely vital.

Kasper 7 - One great save with little else to do.

Pelts 8 - Got really well stuck in tonight, bounced back well after Saturday.

Konch 8 - Standard

Mills 7 - The long balls need to be sorted, but he defended well.

SSL 9 - I've said it before and I'll say it again, he's been our best defnder when he's played, same again tonight.

Gally 8 - Worked so hard, fancied a goal tonight but he was all about the team tonight, great ball to Dyer to create the first goal.

Dyer 8 - His ball caused havoc which lead to us taking the lead, linked up well with PK.

Wellens 8 - The Wellens that knows how to play turned up tonight, fantastic.

Danns 9 - Just totally bossed it, came deep to start attacks, got well stuck in, never gave up and supported attacks well.

Beckford 10 - A hat-trick, chasing down people, making dangerous runs. Can't ask for much more.

Nugent 8 - Unlucky not to score, worked hard enough for a goal as always.

from tv also :(

Kasper - 7 - presence always strong and commanding, should be captain.

Peltier - 7.5 - pacey and dangerous going forward, wanted the ball and wanted to attack

Mills - 6 - steady, keeps bloody hoofing it though, with the odd hoof actually falling to one of our players !

SSL - 6.5 - didnt have much to do but didnt do anything wrong

Konchesky - 7 - looking to attack, tracked positiion back well when did make the odd one bad pass

Gallagher - 7.5 - seemed to be everywhere and possibly the unsung hero

Danns - 8 - very lively, always wanted the ball and his passion in trying to win the ball back was imence

Wellens - 7 - some great sliding tackles to win the ball back and getting in some good attacking positions

Dyer - 9 - definate man of the match for me, his pace and energy came alive tonight

Nugent - 7.5 - didnt have to much of the ball but held up well trying to bring others into the game

Beckford - 9.5 - hat trick, no more can be said.

Kasper 7

Pelts 8 - committed going forward and at the back. Never beaten, brilliant assist.

Mills 7.5 - good.

SSL 8 - solid and clever.

Konch 7 - standard.

Gally 7 - good delivery, not much second half.

Danns 9 - brilliant. Not a chance for Forest to get on the ball, and rarely gave it away. So much energy and a bit of skill to go with it.

Wellens 8 - good stuff.

Dyer 7 - faded second half but threatened first half. If he could actually kick a ball he'd be unreal.

Becks 10 - everything was superb.

Nuge 8.5 - Beckford got the goals, but Nugent was brilliant.

Kasper - 7 Not much to do, tipped one over, dominant around box. Should probably have done better with the deflected cross that lead to THAT MISS. Usually deduct points for that but in this case he gets one for being instrumental for providing the comedy cherry on the victory cake.

Peltier - 8 Look good throughout. Kept Anderson quiet, who could have caused trouble with his pace.

Mills - 7

St. Ledge - 7 Considering all that has gone on, a very professional performance. Delighted for the chap.

Konchesky - 7 Still can't cross but excellent job defending

Gallagher - 7 Hard not to play well against the filth that was the Forest non-existent midfield.

Danns - 9 Bossed the midfield and at times it seemed like the were two of him on pitch.

Wellens - 7 Solid, fought well. Clearly had a point to prove following abysmal performance on Saturday.

Dyer - 8 Tricky, provided width and Forest looked troubled against him. Best performance of the season (that I have seen),

Nugent - 8 Quality. Always putting defenders under pressure, great header he had no right winning to put Beckford through on goal.

Beckford - 9 Lethal. Never gave up, excellent movement off the ball for once. Somebody said that he got lucky with bounces but whomever said that doesn't understand the difference between a striker and a forward.

Posted

So glad Wellens put in a performance that shows he's still got it, quality today, just wish he could reproduce that more often. Hoping he's found his form for the rest of the season.

These are honest, and not OTT

5 = Average. People don't seem to understand how to rate, and think anything below 8 is shit. Fvck off

Kasper - Did fvck all. One beaut save though

Peltier - 7

Mills - 7

SSL -8

Konchesky - 8

Gallagher - 3/4 - Dear god he's weak.

Danns - 7

Wellens - 6

Dyer - 7

Nugent - 7

Beckford - 8

Howard - lol Did he actually run? Good on him

Mr Kennedy - Seemed okay

Kasper 8 - Great save and good influence on the back line. One **** up but so what?

Pelts 7 - Tireless up and down the wing. Caught out a couple of times but recovered well

Mills 8 - Varied the hoof with some nice short passes to midfield who showed for him for once and also square balls to St Ledger. People seem to highlight the long balls that go nowhere but remember he is a centre back and he defended very well tonight.

St Ledger 8 - Looked the perfect partner for Mills. Always calm in possession and has good positional sense.

Konch 8 - Its hard to see why he was critisised earlier in the season. Mr Consistent.

Gally 7 - Hmmm. At 4-0 he looks like a world beater. Need someone with a bit more steel me thinks. Could have played Beckford in a couple of times but elected to shoot.

Wellens 8 - Where the **** have you been?

Danns 9 - Have you been hiding with Wellens?

Dyer 6 - By far the most frustrating player ever. Nobody can catch him but rarely does he use his pace effectively. Plus his legs are so thin they make me feel ill.

Beckford 10 - Chased everything and the chip over Camp was complete quality. This is the Jermaine Beckford that Sven bought. Linked up more with Nugent in this game than any other they've played in.

Nugent 8 - Work rate really is amazing. Should have scored in the first half but a really good front pair tonight.

Subs : -

Kennedy n/a - Didnt really do anything

Howard 10 - Full marks for comedy value!!! An appaling footballer but to be honest, in that situation there's nobody I would rather see come on.

Pearson 11 - Turn it up to 11. It's fair to say we wont play a team worse than Forest but having said that, from minute 1 we didnt let them play. He set the team up exactly in the way it should be set up and wasnt afraid to swallow his pride and play St Ledger. A triumph in the face of adversity and I really hope that this isnt yet another false dawn.

From TV

Kasper - 8 (though some could argue that the flap leading to the Findley chance was actually a good thing, as it only added to Forest's embarrassment)

Peltier - 8 (thought his attacking play down the right was truly superb. Our second goal, in which he was involved heavily, was just a jizz-fest)

Mills - 7 (fairly solid)

SSL -7 (fairly solid)

Konchesky - 8 (there's the possibility he could become something of an unsung hero here, very composed at all times today and during our terrible games such as Barnsley without often being spectacular. Now thinking back I might have given him a very, very unfair zero against Barnsley...)

Gallagher - 8 (tonight's performance seems to be dividing opinion - I thought he was fairly immense and very clever with the ball, not at all related to the player I was watching last Saturday)

Danns - 9 (what is it with him and pulling out top-drawer performances against local rivals on national TV?!)

Wellens - 7 (very, very commanding show in midfield. Provided that hard-nut we've been absolutely missing in our midfield for ages now)

Dyer - 7 (not his most exciting night, but great play to set up the goal)

Nugent - 6 (I thought kinda quiet, but then with the guy below on the pitch this evening...)

Beckford - 9 (well, well - who'd have thought it. If he can start producing even a third of what he was all about tonight regularly in the league then he'll soon sort out his reputation amongst the crowd)

Danns - 8 played in correct position worked non stop

Wellens - 7 better game still bit slow at times

Dyer - 7.5

Nugent - 7.5

Beckford - 9 just what he needed

Forest- 2 they were awful!

Yep, Howard ran & kept that ball in superbly :D

Wellens 6? He bossed it, played a brilliant game laying it off for everyone who wanted it (which was everyone for the 1st time in a long, long, long time) Excellent game IMO

Findlay was offside for his miss.

He was absolutely nowhere near offside.

1 He was behind the crosser

2. A defender was in front of him

3. Kasper tipped it to him

I'm being sarcastic while being sarcastic. Hence why I said "Good on him". I'm praising him

Quibble on that point, it shouldn't really matter. He'd clearly have been interfering with play when the ball came over and would surely have been considered active by any good linesman before Kasper had even touched it.

Posted

Kasper - 7 - Ups & downs for him

Peltier - 8 - Was out of position a few times at the back, was exemplary in attack

Mills - 7 - Solid game, some wasteful long balls occasionally

SSL - 8 - Best performance by him for us so far

Konch - 8 - Defended & attacked well

Gally - 6 - Great first half, balls in to the box caused them all sorts of problem, faded as game went on

Danns - 9 - Ran & ran, was always open for the pass, but didn't waste it when he got it & then moved into space to receive it back again

Wellens - 9 - More please, back to the Richie we know, lots of movement by everyone allowed him to play his normal game

Dyer - 7 - Linked well with Nuge down the channels & stuck to the line to create that width we've lacked

Beckford - 10 - Played like the Beckford we thought we'd signed. Brought the desire, chased everything, span off the last man, came deep... the lot

Nuge - 8 - Worked the channels brilliantly, created lots of space for Danns, Beckford & Dyer to exploit and cause trouble

Howard n/a but what a run!!!!

Kennedy n/a

Pearson - 9 - Looked back to his best, kicked every ball with the team, was constantly providing guidance & whatever he did between Saturday & tonight he needs to do again
