Sol Bamba To Prem Side?

Is anybody credible actually reporting any Bamba transfer news yet?

Not saying there's no truth in it, mind. From memory, he was linked with Blackburn last summer anyway.

hope he dont go i'm hoping he stays and gets a chance to play in midfield i know a lot of you dont agree he could do a job in midfield but i dont dont give a flying fook who'd have thought walshy would have played upfront :frusty:

I agree that he can play there, and then at least when he's done 10 kick ups, 3 cruyff turns, flicked it up on the back of his neck and lost the ball he will have 4 players behind to get him out of trouble lol. Would be ashame to not try him there before selling him

I really hope this isn't true, I don't believe he is a liability at all, he had helped us keep many clean sheets before so I don't see what the drama is about. Maybe he does try to be a bit too fancy at times and has some people's hearts in throats but really, people are clearly asking for perfect and that ain't happening. Every player slips up from time to time, it's part of the game.

We can't let Sol go :(

Good player and would be a shame to loose him, but then on the other hand its a buisness at the end of the day and if we can sell him for at least 2m. This is a quick profit and could allow NP to bring in 2 wingers

I love Sol Bamba

I know he's very unnerving at the back, and we have kept 3 successive clean sheets since he's left, but he was just such a great guy!

I guess it's Wes Wes Morgan! From now on?

Having said that, if he goes, make sure we really get the money coming in for him, like crazy amounts! I think Blackburn, Bolton, Arsenal, or West Brom would be interested.

you missed those to55ers at Old Trafford out

If you think Bamba's a liability, you obviously haven't seen Morgan play very often.

Or Bamba for that matter.

The rise of the fickle fans occurs once more, a couple of clean sheets against a League Two side and the worst Forest side in many years and surprise, surprise it's all to do with Bamba not playing. Fair enough we kept Southampton from scoring but they had a weakened side and it's hardly enough to say we are more stable without him. People forget how many strikers this guy has had in his pocket in previous games, playing alongside an out of form Mills.

In my opinion he has been one of our best players this season and the fact that we are talking about a Premier League side coming in for him just shows how much he should be valued at our club.

Be disappointed to see him go but if we got a decent price for him after what we paid then I can understand the reasoning, especially since Mills & SSL seem to be forming a decent partnership and there's Morgan still to come in too all being well.

Just missed a sitter !!!

I'll be sad to see him leave, always seemed to have passion and drive. Agree that he's been a stand out player this season, despite his "tendencies". Still think mills and lendger ain't been tested really. Didn't we have like 11 clean sheets with sol in the side?

Yes just missed a good chance.

Bamba was for me our best centre back until SSL came into the team, I just hope it's not him leaving.

I think Tunchev will leave, except he wants to stay on the bench but then we have still got 4 centre backs...

This is bull hes at the African cup of nations and loves playing for Leicester. He wont come back to England in time to complete a medical

There are ways around the medical so it is a possibility but thought it would've been done by now if its true

I'd like to see him stay. As others have touched on, would love to see him have a go at anchoring the midfield before we sell him. Heard when he signed he favoured that role to playing centre half. Just imagine seeing him with the shackles released?!?!

Pearson getting rid of all the quality, can't handle big names if we ever get to the perm we will be straight back down

I'm not goin for a perm and I suggest nobody else does either :D

Seriously though why would being in the prem necessarily equate to 'big names' and handling them? I'm sure we could all name at least a few squads in the prem right now who aren't filled with big name players and Pearson seems to be building a team, admittedly one filled with defenders, but I'd rather have a team than a load of good individuals personally

You could say there is only so good you can be with a team full of rubbish players though. Plucky hardworking teams can do well but if you haven't got quality you'll never be that successful.

Well Norwich are currently 9th in the 'Perm', how many big names do they have?
