Phube Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Take a bow Jermaine Beckford. Ran his socks off, could have had a hattrick, finally scored by pure bloody determination and graft and rescued us a point. Cruelly unlucky not to win it. What a player when he wants to be. PS: I said years ago the Fosse Boys should start that ****ing chant! Oh no, no, we can't copy Palace!! Well hows about that for some actual atmosphere!?

Well hows about that for some actual atmosphere!? Ergh I dunno - yeah it made for a really pretty good atmosphere, but it's such a horrible, horrible chant Also credit to Stringer, he handled that interview pretty well!
nuttytimmy Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Conclusions - including comment about that abysmal referee!
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Beckford, to be fair, was a class above today Anyone who says that Mills can pass a ball is a twat! His distribution tonight was absolutely shocking... Lloyd Dyer had a poor game... Drinky looks quality... And as for the ref! Little cvnt
Finnegan Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Ergh I dunno - yeah it made for a really pretty good atmosphere, but it's such a horrible, horrible chant Also credit to Stringer, he handled that interview pretty well! I disagree, actually, I've always liked it. Going to sound like a typical Pauli fanboi here but I first heard it years ago from them and really liked the sound of it. It's, obviously, quite overdone over here now as Palace and co' have made it "fashionable" amongst European-wannabe supporters but at the end of the day if it makes a good atmosphere who gives a shit?! Lot less tacky than the Poznan!
Corky Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Good to hear Pearson have a go at officials. He's not one to do it every week (unlike some) so he's entitled to his views on this occasion.
steveherbe Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Beckford was brilliant - at last! Could've had a hat trick. Drinkwater good, Wellens and Gally can do one for me, absolute rubbish. Loved the 'Palace' chant, made a great atmosphere 2nd half. How the hell did Becks get that equaliser? Damn ball was in row C of the kop! Well done JB, knew it was only a matter of time before he came good.

Lot less tacky than the Poznan! Fair enough, just really hate it personally. And to a certain extent I'm in the pro-Poznan crew... However, I'll take whatever comes if it leads to a better home atmosphere, and tonight sounded pretty damn good on the radio

Little cvnt I cant believe quite how Beckford has turned things around, his first 10-15 games for City were shocking, last 4 games he has been superb

Agree about Beckford, Looked like he had a really good game and it was a great effort that hit the bar. at the ref walking in on Pearson's team talk.
Libertine Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Loving what Nige is bringing to us now. Don't think we'll make it this year but am well excited for next season. Brought some effort and identity back, performances to be proud of.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 thanks for post the stuff on way NFP was in the stand, its never dull with our lot is it
topharry123 Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Sounded like a good performance again with one man the difference between a win and a draw. Beckford is finally showing us what we all knew he could do and that could be the difference over the next few games. Even if we don't make it this season, got to love what Nigel is doing with the team.
beryllind Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 What a poor match mainly down to a S--t ref, but our passing, first touch, and crossing at times was disgraceful, with Gally being the worst worst culprit. The brightest thing for me was Danny Drinkwater, a class footballer, he must never ever be left on that subs bench again. SSL was my man of the match.
MikeyT Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Anyone got a link to the interview? It just got played again.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 I cant believe quite how Beckford has turned things around, his first 10-15 games for City were shocking, last 4 games he has been superb I agree with you 100% mate Becks looks like a very different player now Tonite the swivel and shot that hit the bar was delicious...
woznotwos Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Thought that was a reasonable performance tonight , its coming together. Well done front pairing tonight !
MrSpaM Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 If Ben Marshall is anywhere near as good as Drinkwater we've got exciting times ahead, i'd love to keep Delfouneso past his loan spell too. We've made some good signings
Corky Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Just a note about my previous post about the game- It wasn't about this game specifically, as it appeared we played well and should, and were probably unlucky not to, have won, my gripe was at the previous home games which has set us back. But we're showing more determination and quality in recent matches and hopefully we can put a run together.

Austin Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 Just home from work, happy with the point considering we were losing .. I'm guessing the Ref wasn't very good .....
itsbenji Posted 1 February 2012 Posted 1 February 2012 I hope Nige starts drinkwater instead of gally on saturday, the lad seems to be hungry for itand have skill!
