Bit early after Middlesborough but only 2 days away, can't wait!

Really hope we get that 'love you whoaaaaa' song going as it just makes the atmosphere.

Team i'd play is:

Schemichel

Peltier Mills St Ledger Konchesky

Marshall Drinkwater Danns Delfouneso

Nugent Beckford

Come on Leicester!

This seems to be the generall consensus! Allthough maybe 4-3-3.

Peltier - Mills © - St. Ledger - Konchesky

Drinkwater - Danns - Wellens - Dyer

Beckford - Nugent

Subs: Logan, Morgan, Marshall, Delfouneso, Howard

Agreed apart from Marshall in for Dyer would be my call and then moving forward, Drinkwater in for Wellens with the Fonz coming in, depending on if we extend the loan. Apparently there is a decent pub near the ground that used to be the campaign centre for the opposition to the new statium, which is OK for away fans, cant remember the name will post it after I have spoken to him tomorrow.

I see Mattock signed for Brighton on loan on deadline day.

Another chance to give him some serious stick, never gets old....

Why....... :dunno:

The other night Nugent took the wide postion and Delfouneso played up front, looked good to me.

I would go with that pairing at Brighton, Nugent on the left, Marshall on the right and Danns and Drinkwater in the middle. Freshen things up I think......

I think we'd get overrun with that midfield. Delfouneso is a striker, Marshall is (by all accounts) a very attacking wide player and Danns and Drinkwater are two creative centre-mids.

As much as he's been poor this season and needs a rest, I really think we need Wellens in there. He's not great defensively, but at least he's a body that will hang back and nominally be somewhere between the other central midfielder and the back 4.

I really don't think we've replaced Abe or Fernandes at all, and this could be a problem in the coming weeks.

Half right, half wrong.......... ;)

The lack of a solid defensive midfielder has been apparant for some time and was not (or could not) be addressed in the window, this is quite true.

The suggestion that Wellens will improve things defensively is not, when he sits deep he actually makes things worse, positionally poor, rarely makes a decent tackle, gices away free kicks and his distribution from deep is woeful. All he does is posture, point and complain and when he gets the ball give it straight back to the opposition.

If he has a role to play (debatable in my view) it is in forward positions where he can pick the pass to our forward players as he has done a number of times in recent weeks.......

We need width that is essential so Marshall has to start, and replace Gallagher, Delfouneso for Dyer and Drinkwater for Wellens, those changes will make us a better proposition as a team.

Pearson won't drop wellens

You are probably correct but he might be 'rested' having played most of a tough game on wednesday........ :dunno:

Talking of which, anyone have any info on new injury issues?

Exactly what I was thinking. The boro game changed pace and we looked alot more dangerous as soon as Drinkwater and Delfouneso came on.

In reality Wellens and Dyer will start. Drinkwater should definately be replacing Gallagher.

We haven't bought these players to sit on the bench, so I expect them to start games sooner rather than later, and hopefully Brighton will be the start of that.

Three games in a week, only 2 days off since wednesday, don't think that we can go unchanged again so selection might not be that straightforward...... :dunno:

I can understand people criticism of wellens as he is not the player he used to be but why drop him? He's the best option we have as a steady playmaking midfielder. Drinkwater looks quality but he's too much like Danns I don't think a central midfield partnership of those two would work. Like Pearson said its about balance and I don't think we would have it of he was dropped

I'd sooner drop danns than wellens and try drinkwater in the middle with him, say what u like about wellens but he does create aswell as drinkwater. Marshall will definately start so I think that midfield will create goals.
