davieG Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Merc Nigel Pearson will not face an FA charge of improper conduct. The FA have confirmed there will be no further punishment for the Leicester City boss after he was sent to the stands during the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough. Nigel Pearson An FA spokesman said no further action was deemed appropriate after reviewing referee Gavin Ward's report and the evidence. "It was felt that there was no further action needed other than to remind Mr Pearson of his responsibilities," he said.
Callabinho Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 That last comment will piss big Nige off "remind him of his responsibilities", how about reminding the ref to learn how to do his job properly.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 His name is Nigel, ooooh Nigel Pearson, aaahhh He's a lovely perswon, ooooh And a very good manager, aaaah (to the Bobby De Niro song by Adam & Joe)
ozleicester Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 I know this is going be create gasps of amazement but... sounds like the FA have done a good job
Callabinho Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Oooooooo Nigel Pearson, he's big and his ****ing hard, he told the ref to **** off, oh Nigel Person!
davieG Posted 4 February 2012 Author Posted 4 February 2012 I know this is going be create gasps of amazement but... sounds like the FA have done a good job Or they know the ref messed up maybe and didn't want to expose the situation?

Matt Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Now raises the question what punishment/warning will the Gavin Ward be given? It's clear the referee made several bad decisions and he needs to be made accountable for his actions, and no dropping him back down the League One will not surffice. Why should League One teams suffer for Gavin Ward's inconsistancies? What makes their games any less important than ours, or even a Premier League match?
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Or they know the ref messed up maybe and didn't want to expose the situation? That is the most likely scenario !
Jace Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 First the FA decide to strip John Terry of his captaincy and now this what's happened in the FA headquarters this week? Why are they making all these decent decisions all of a sudden?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 What match has the nob been given today anyone know.
Jace Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 What match has the nob been given today anyone know. He will probably be demoted to the Cornwall Dutchy Leagues or East Cornwall Premier Division if he is lucky will keep my eye out we will find him
Simmo86 Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 What match has the nob been given today anyone know. Whoever Swindon are playing in League 2
yorkie1999 Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Both sides backing down. The FA know pearson is in the right, but they also have to back their appointed official.
redcardwally Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 The Ref for Wednesdays game has been having a good season until Wednesday it seems,to be appointed to Wednesdays game he would of had to be high in Assessors marks and Club marks, yes both clubs mark the Ref and he is Assessed every game and despite what people on here think the marks count, like players he won't be dumped down to the leicester senior league after one bad game but will be judged over a season,to be appointed to Swindons game today which was done before Wednesday proves that he is having a reasonable season. It is not considered the correct protocol for a Ref to enter a changing room it leaves himself open to all sorts of problems unless he thought he had no other option,ie his assistants had tried to get city out,he had rung players bell etc,i know he would be given advice regarding this after wednesday,it is also well known amongst officials that Pearson is generally a fair manager who plays by the rules again this makes me think the Ref thought he had to go in to the changing room,Pearson was not right to tell the Ref to uck foff but for once the FA have been sensible I thought he was poor without a doubt but did not cause us to draw!!

He didn't know it was the ref as he had his back to the door apparently so even if it had been one of the owners (I'm sure they'd know not to go in there unless they were sacking him) or the Queen the response would have been the same. I'd imagine the dressing room at half time is a bit akin to a confessional you don't go in unless you're invited.
StanSP Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 And he certainly wouldn't have said uck foff! Pearson is a well-spoken man . Does anyone if we'll hear anything about Ward? Or will the FA just quietly go on with business and not respond any more on the matter?
Matt Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 He should be refereeing Swindon Town v Burton Albion luckily for Gavin Ward he won't be feeling the wrath of Paulo Di Canio when he makes several poor decisions. I think Gavin Ward has had a big let off there, unfortunatly. There may have been a repeat of;
gazfox9 Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Well, well. Theres a surprise. I have no doubts that will be the last we hear of it now. Neatly brushed under the carpet.

redcardwally Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 yes it is I had to give my point of view after all the stick i've took!!!
Haydos Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 If they're not punishing Pearson then surely that means the ref did something. Sounds like someone was in the wrong.

Disagree. One could argue that the second goal we conceded was the result of a free kick which shouldn't have been given. The guy dived after the challenge was made. I didn't highlight this point earlier in my Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dum post because it was way down the list of priorities in terms of what he got wrong. Although in hindsight it was a game changer at a time when we were the more threatening side.
gazfox9 Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 yes it is I had to give my point of view after all the stick i've took!!! I don't believe you.......................Tarquin
stockyfox Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 They reminded Nigel Pearson of his responsibilities! What a bloody cheek! ..... and they probably 'reminded' the ref that he was now on the short list to ref the FA Cup Final! Respect? As someone has said elsewhere, respect is earned. They might think they are at the top but I don't look up to them, I look down on them!
