Persistence with Gallagher, Wellens, Dyer is embarrassing, where the hell is Johnson, he played under Sven but now he's not considered fit? I can't imagine he could be more unfit than Gallagher who looks like he's already done 90 minutes by half time and runs like he has shit his pants. Starting to reflect on two thirds of a season that has passed us by, and why it took Beckford 15 games to look interested, the SSL affair, Vassell injury, and Mills inability to lead. Still think we are up for the cup, we dont need to win 2 games back to back!

We do not seen to know how to turn our superiority into points, for whatever reason. NFP's 2009/10 Championship side did know how to do just that, and It's not because the players were better, thet weren't.....

He has to say that, he probably knows its over but he cant say it. What do you want him to say 'the season is over, nobody bother turning up, in fact lets send out the U13s for the remainder of the season'? Id be more worried if the boss didnt care and happily let the season pass without any effort. The squad is better than 2 years ago, so its not that the squad cant make the play offs, its the fact they wont for various reasons, which I wont go into.

So where is pantsil? kennedy? its the same story in the middle of the park, we have to get turned over at Watford before changes are made, the midfield needs two lung bursting box to box players if NP persists with Wellens, Drinkwater is one, but Danns has looked average at best, Dyer is completely brain dead, and Gallagher has no cut and thrust at this level, if the midfield had some energy and craft then the pressure would come off the defence, anyone in League 1 can do what Wellens and Dyer do for us, Gallagher appears to be picked purely on ability to score the odd free kick and penalty, his all round game is poor. Its not so much about Watford its pretty much every game since the beginning of December.

Second half we were much the better side & and created those chances and yes should have won the game . The most alarming thing tonight was the fact that yet again ........as on Saturday with Gestede,we could'nt really cope with Iwelumo in the air ! The right side of defence first half were really average tbh ......

Mills looked at fault for their third. I know Peltier escapes much criticism on here (like most full-backs in the Championship), but he too was poor before he came off injured at the end of the first half. Midfield offered nothing again. Wellens was dreadful and did absolutely **** all; Danns was barely any better when he replaced Drinkwater in the second half. Gallagher delivered 3 good corners but did little else. Dyer was completely ineffective and didn't put a single ball in the box the whole game. Nugent was quiet but contributed with 2 goals - the first a slightly limp attempt at the far post that I'm surprised wasn't saved, and the second a screamer on the volley. Beckford did chase balls but was for the most part out of the game AGAIN because he had zero service and was forced to scrap for the ball in the air. Season was already over for me, but confirmed tonight. Need to give NP time to clear the shite out of this squad and buy his own players next summer. If we stick with a plan and back the manager financially, we are more than capable of getting out of this league but we won't do it with this squad of players. P.S. Just one more thing - the Watford fans tonight were utterly dreadful. Not a peep out of them until they were 3-2 up. Worst fans vocally in the division by a long, long stretch.
Maybes Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Beckford and Danns missing the guilt edged chances cost us. Although I thought Beckford played ok apart from that. Dyer was pretty weak and Mills was gash. We really dominated the game and should be very disappointed not to have taken all 3 points. Again we are struggling to defend corners and other balls into the box. Two lovely strikes by Nuge.

Some of the personnel are holding us back, these will be gone in the summer and fresh wood will replace them. Why NP is getting this criticism I dont know, what ellde could he do, his hands are tied until the summer. Maybe bringing Howard every game is stupid but he shouldnt have had the option to, why did Sven give him a new contract? I will say again it's mostly Sven's mess still. Cue the people laughing because someone still blames Sven. How can it be his fault 3 months on.

The reason he is getting it is because he is deluded in thinking we are going to get into the playoffs, and he keeps persisting with the shite in the team yes he hasn't got any other options but as a stop gap get some loans in, if he is really bothered which I don't think he is.

Defies logic really. I blame O'Neill, for that temporary blip of success and for giving too many people the expectation that we should be pounding teams like Watford. That hasn't been the case since the late 70s when they were in the 4th Division. And even then it was touch and go
