frost1 Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 steve has been a good player for the club and i admire his passion for the game and the club but i think it is time for him to move on as he is just not good enough to be at the club now. i think if nigel can get a younger howard in which runs that would be good.
cc_star Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 I no steve howard has been a good servant to leicester but i feel at a time when leicester are looking for the prem he isnt good enough. We are giving him appearances for the sack of it because he doesnt offer an attacking treat. I dont no what everyone else things on the subject Eh? It's not like he's starting is it, Nugent, Beckford, Schlupp & Fonz (when he was here) were all above him in the pecking order, NP has also had Hooper involved in the matchday squad & were he fit probably Vassell would be above him too Howard will be one of many leaving in the summer, of that I'm sure.
HitchinFox Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 He loves football and shows great passion for the game...He's 35 years old..... That pretty accurately describes me. Nige, sign me up. More than happy with 5-10 minutes at the end of a game - and I won't cost £5,000 a week.

It's hopper mate.
thybluefox Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Time to put him out to pasture, Hopper looks like he could do a similar job while being more mobile, no idea why he still features for us.
bmt Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Didn't he set up two goals against Derby at home? He was fantastic that game but it was evidently complete fluke.
Happy Fox Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 He needs to leave pronto, if we made the prem I don't think a target man would be a necessity but if we are still in this division next season then get Futacs in.

Not that I'm against giving Howard this sack you mention. If you're not sharing your treats with the rest of the team you can gtfo.
Libertine Dream Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 I think, by and large, he's been a terrible signing - considering what we paid, how good he was before he joined us and what he's actually done for us. Not being "picky" - just giving an honest assessment. He's not been good enough aside from a few occasional performances. Overall, a waste of transfer fee and wages and will be glad when he finally moves on. His worthwhile "moments" haven't been anywhere near often enough when you take the above into consideration. That goal vs Leeds was worth every penny! Although we did overspend on him at that stage in gis careers, Fryatt wouldn't have got the goals he got without him
lcfcbaby Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Complete waste of space and time I wouldn't call 3 assists completely useless!
Stevie Synex Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 He's going on loan to notts county tomorrow Source?
chantrill19 Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Sorry can't say, will be announced tomorrow though
deep blue Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Why do people care so much? He gets 5 or 10 minutes every other game. Stop looking for something to moan about. It would be more productive to give one of the younger players, Schlupp or Hopper, that valuable 10 minutes experience in the team.

Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 4 March 2012 Posted 4 March 2012 Where is this Hopper love come from? He has played 10 minutes against a league 2 side which definately gives him the credentials to get in the team above a man who has scored 200 league goals throughout his career. Steve is out of contract in the summer and will probably move down the divisions or retire, when he comes on the game is usually just about won and he is there to see the game out.
