Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Kasper 7 - So funny when he came out and played rush keeper! Pletier 4 - Cant defend as usual, never in RB position Morgan 6 SSL 6 Kennedy 5 - No worse than Peltier and unsure why he was subbed off Drinkwater 4 - Isnt a winger and shouldnt be on the right, spent most of the game elsewhere leaving us short over there. Wellens 5 Danns 6 Dyer 4 Nugent 5 - No service Beckford 3 - Didnt even try most of the time Howard 5 Gallager 4 Bamba 6
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Schmeichel - 6 - why he made some stupid decisions i.e playing in midfield i will never know Peltier - 6 average Morgan - 7 tad better than average St Ledger - 8 my man of the match Kennedy - 6 nothing special Drinkwater - 6 same has Kennedy, didnt do too much Wellens - 7 overall an alright game Danns - 7 just cause he scored Dyer - 6 could have been so much better Beckford - 2 offered jack shit for the whole of the first half Nugent - 7 a few good spells not his normal self Bamba - 7 no nonsense defence Howard - 7 played well and deserves to start against brum Gallagher - 6 not enough time to make an impact
FantasticMrFox Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Pretty much on the mark. I'd probably -1 those scores though...

lcfcsnow Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Drinkwater 4 - Isnt a winger and shouldnt be on the right, spent most of the game elsewhere leaving us short over there. Pearsons tactics are so flawed, he will always have someone tucked in on the right out of position. Remember Oakley? He sticks a central midfielder out there so they tuck in attempting to keep the game tight so we can nick it, worked last time here but not anymore. Leaves us with one attacking threat, a winger who can only use 1 foot. Before he came back we were playing it out from the back, that stopped immediately. Now its lump it long to Beckford from a goal kick every 5 minutes, even though he can't control or head the ball? Give me strength, we've been doing that for 4 months now. Is this guy for real? He's a one trick pony whos tactics only work with certain players, I suggest the Thai's get some proper advice next time they start their manager search.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Schmeiche played in midfield No wonder we fvcking lost. moment of madness
FantasticMrFox Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Lets face it, Schmeichel was actually one of our better midfield players today!...
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Kasper - 6 Peltier - 5 Morgan - 6 St. Ledger - 6 Kennedy - 6 Drinkwater - 6 - Has no effect on the wing, he is a centre mid Danns - 7 Wellens - 7 - placed alright Dyer - 6 Marked throughout the game Nugent - 6 - Worked hard throughout the game but didn't get service Beckford - 4 - Sorry but was he even there? Didn't look interested, drop him. Howard - 7 - worked hard, didn't deserve a booking at all. Bamba - 7- Had a good 2nd half Gallagher- N/A Just like Pearson said, simply not good enough. I hope Vassell gets back soon for another winger, don't know why Marshall didn't start because Drinkwater is a CM and not very effective on the wing, but still better than having Gallagher on the wing
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Howard - 7 played well and deserves to start against brum

Sven never played players out of position, did he?
daddylonglegs Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Sven never played players out of position, did he? King in defensive midfield... Beckford on the pitch..
hackneyfox Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 He's right though, we are just lumping it forward to 2 players who won't feed off that. Rather than change the tactic let's stick Howard on instead? ffs
Libertine Dream Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Pletier 4 - Cant defend as usual, never in RB position I'd agree with this and think this is the mark he's deserved since New Year. Said since Brizzle at home that he's crap.
Guest ttfn Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Schmeichel 5 - Took crosses well and was quick off his line on a few occasions. Made some baffling decisions in the 2nd half. Peltier 5 - Looks short of confidence. St. Ledger 6 - meh. Morgan 6 - Looked ok on the ball. Kennedy 4 - Looked out of his depth. Shame. Drinkwater 5 - Ineffective Danns 7 - Our best player. Not saying much. Wellens 6 - Ok. Moved the ball too slowly as per. Dyer 6 - Often our only proper attacking outlet. We need more wingers. Nugent 5 - Did very little but still seemed most likely to score before Danns' goal. Beckford 2 - my feelings on him are well documented. Let's just say today re-affirmed my views. Subs: Howard 4 - You've been a good servant Steve but it's time for the glue factory. Tries hard but doesn't even when headers any more. Bamba 6 - A couple of mix-ups but otherwise a class act Gallagher 6 - Great cross for Danns' goal
Thracian Posted 10 March 2012 Posted 10 March 2012 Kasper 6 (If he's supposed to help organise the defence in front of him there was a lot missing today and getting caught in possession on his walkabout could so easly have cost us another goal). Peltier 5 (Where those promising attacking forays have gone I don't know but their opening goal was worked through his area of responsibility and far too easily). Morgan 6 (Altogether too slow and cumbersome for my liking). St Leger 6.5 (At least looked as if he cared). Kennedy 5 (Didn't offer nearly enough support to our attack for whatever reason and never looked in charge defensively either). Dyer 6 (Had good opportunities to run at his marker but missed the support of Konchesky and mostly disappointed or played safe). Drinkwater 5 (Where's the probing short passes into the heart of the opposition defence as at Southampton? Asked so few questions and was too easily disposssessed or inclned to pass backwards). Wellens 6 (Hot and cold but always involved). Danns 7 (Much like Wellens but he did stick at it and showed te positive energy to get in the box and eventually score with a well-taken shot). Beckford 0 (I can't give a single mark to a guy who made no impact whatsoever that I can recall). Nugent 6.5 (Remained a goal threat for his bloody minded persistence. Just couldn't hit the target with such half-chances as he had). Howard: 5.5 (Tried hard enough but never looked a real threat). Bamba 5.75 (Nothing notable as Reading continued to breach our defence too easily). Gallagher 6 (Assist for Danns goal).

And the partnership he has with Nuge?
Guest NGoloMode Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Kasper - 5 Peltier - 4 Morgan - 6 St. Ledger - 6 Kennedy - 3 - We need Konch back. Drinkwater - 4 - Some awful passes Danns - 6 Wellens - 6 Dyer - 6 Nugent - 6 Beckford - 4 - Did nothing Howard - 8 Bamba - 7 Gallagher - 7
martyn Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Schmeichel 6 Peltier 6 Morgan 6.5 SSL 6 Kennedy 4.5 Drinkwater 6 Wellens 6.5 Danns 7 Dyer 6 Beckford 4.5 Nugent 6 Subs: Bamba 4.5, Howard 5.5 Edit: Can't believe the marks Bamba is getting. I'm a fan of his attributes generally but he was all over the place yesterday positionally, summed up when he allowed Roberts to waltz in behind him for a 1 on 1 and being nowhere to be seen on the cover when Reading's 1 form of attack (a hoof into the channel behind our left back position) yielded 2 soft goals 2nd half.
Lambert09 Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Can somebody explain in detail Kaspers midfield performance and how it came about? hahaha They didnt score from it did they?
NeilyBoy Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Can somebody explain in detail Kaspers midfield performance and how it came about? hahaha They didnt score from it did they? No, Morgan covered him if I remember correctly. Tbh it was a bit hard to make out what exactly was happening cause Stringer's voice was going all over the place!
Head Honcho Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Apart from one neat pass Drinkwater was awful and Lloyd was indeed Dyer.

Asha Posted 11 March 2012 Posted 11 March 2012 Can somebody explain in detail Kaspers midfield performance and how it came about? hahaha They didnt score from it did they? If I recall correctly, he initially came out to make a block, kept hold of the ball whilst walking out towards the centre circle, and then just sort of stopped , got dispossessed and then instead of running back to goal he stood his ground for a while.
