Food on matchdays

What food do you get on match days(from the stadium) ?

I almost always get a hot chocolate and a balti pie especially on cold days.

What are your thoughts on the prices aswell? I think they are slightly high.

Balti pie.

I refuse to buy anything else's from the ground regarding food and drink because of the prices. I usually just nip in Morrisons beforehand.

normally tend to get some hot food from the Spar shop before the game, cheap that the vans near the filbo car park & at the ground...

then if its cold...get a hot chocolate....which i will tonight..might even stretch to get a pie.

Yeah...loaded :Plol

personally, I think the prices are a bit expensive...If you want chocolate/crisps/pop...best get it from the spar shop or the corner shops near the old ground. dam sight cheap than in the ground.

With our thai connections, they should do some traditional thai foods. Those mini cardboard cartons of various noodles and things. Would make an absolute killing. Would be a welcome change from the rubber burgers and hotdogs

I always bring food as well. Can't be arsed to wait in line for donkeys years and then be ripped off by over-priced food. But I did used to get the balti pie every now and again and would recommend it over a soggy stale burger.

I used to get a hotdog about 35 mins into the match to miss the half time queues. Now I just get my food before the match as there is literally no queue

if i want a pie i buy it before the game , cos by half time they have been in the warmer that long that the pastry has gone hard at the bottom

Usually go to Yum Chi on Braunstone Gate and get a DIY fried rice with egg, peas, chicken, beef, pork, chillies, prawn and bbq sauce. Then grab a hotdog from the stand where the old ground was then generally have a couple of cheeseburgers straight away when I get in the ground as at that point they are still hot. On leaving the ground, i'll walk up to Narborough Rd and call in at Maryland Chicken for fillet burger and 9 wings.

Meh

A new burger can has opened on the corner of Saff lane and Aylestone road.

They serve a wider range of stuff and about a quid cheaper than anywhere round the ground.

We usually stop off there on the way in.

I always go to one of the vans as the quality is better.

I wouldnt mind paying a bit more for better quality in the ground

Totally agree with the person who recommended some Thai food

Singa with something like noodles or something with plenty of chilli

Would be nice to offer something different from other grounds

Did anyone see the prices of the vans outside reading - they charged me £5.80 for a burger and it was terrible

Bloody love a Balti pie.

Don't normally get half-time food because of a queues, but it was quiet this evening so I had a Bovril. The lad who served me was, I can only assume, on a work experience placement for mentally deficient. He managed to ruin my Bovril by overflowing the cup with hot water, thus diluting it into a mere slightly savoury water. I couldn't be bothered to query it because a) the players were coming back out and b) it would have been like trying to explain the offside rule to your cat.

I had this one person and asked for two pies (for me and a friend) Forgot about the other one so I asked the woman who served me for another one, she just looked at me, said how much it cost but didn't get the other pie.

I told her I asked for 1 more so she got another one and only charged me for 2 lol Got to love it when them things happen :P

Although not a regular visitor to our stadium, when I do come up I always make sure I grab a coffee three minutes before kick off when all the queues have gone! That's all folks!

Botulism Burger for me from a van outside.

I tried the burger from the kiosks in the ground once, it was filth! (Well more filth that the Botulism number!)
