Salieri Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 - How long have you supported Leicester for? : My dad took me to my first game when I was 5 (in 1980) so, 32 years I guess! - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? : Considering the expectations at the beginning of the season we have had a poor campaign by all accounts. Most (given the money spent) were expecting promotion, play offs at the very least. Yet another change of manager was never going to help, hopefully Pearson will stay and get us up next year. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? : Given that it's a cup game, Beckford has a knack of scoring in this competition. Stand out players are undoubtedly Schmeichel and Nugent. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? : We'll take a punt on one of the youngsters...Lukaku would do I suppose. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? : Chelsea 3-1 Leicester, sadly.

As early as I can remember - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? We've had good results against the bigger teams in the Championship, and some very bad performances against the smaller teams, it's been far too inconsistent, not deserving of a play off place in my opinion but it's stills mathematically possible. If Sven signed a winger or two in the summer he would've got us firing! - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Nugent on a free has been fantastic, he's also our top goalscorer with 14 I believe, St. Ledger has been excellent since he's made up with Nigel Pearson, Schmeichel has been very good this season as has Paul Konchesky very consistent. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Probably Ramires, I'd love Drogba I think he's fantastic, but we need that bite in midfield so an Essien or more Ramires would be ideal. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? SystonFox Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 Hi Steve welcome to FoxesTalk, try not to spend too long here or you may find yourself bashing your head against a brick wall. hence im going to reply to your questions fairly brisk! - How long have you supported Leicester for? i was born in 1987 but got into football at an early age, it was more playing and watching any team on MOTD, but as far as Leicester are concerned i think i went to my first game in 94/95 season. I've been to two Wembley finals (Palace and Tranmere) which we both won. witnessed grown men cry the year before tranmere at an Oadby pub when Spurs beat us 1-0 :-( had a season ticket from 04 > '10 then gave it up when we got relegated to the league one. so you could say i witnessed our darkest days of football in my memory (bar Peter Tayl or!) - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? its been poor really, the money we've spent and the players we've acquired we should be up in the top 6 but for some reason it just hasn't clicked and we've only just managed to get back to back wins which was then followed by two away defeats in which we conceded 6 goals! this sums our season up, inconsistent! - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? players to be scared of,nugent and beckford (on his day!) can be deadly. mind you Becks is yet to score away from home all season :-( most consistent player i believe to be either from Schmeichel or Konchesky but he's suspended for picking up a red against Coventry - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? i'd love Torres here at City cos i believe he lacks confidence and imagine what he could do in the champ. let us have him on loan wont u? 6 month deal please! if i were to be realistic it'd be a youth team player or reserve so i'll plump for Josh McCharen (sp?) ive heard good things about him and did well elsewhere on loan? - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? finally, I think that the final score tomorrow will be 1-1. Born in 1993, Been going down since 2000, as a season ticket holder since 2002. - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? No it has not been a good season (unless we have an extremely unlikely FA Cup win or a late burst into the Play Offs). Ask any fan and they'll tell you that crippling inconsistency is the issue. Another new manager and a host of new players need time to perform. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Kasper in goal is the best keeper we've had in many years. Konchesky in defence has been good. Nugent upfront has been a great player for us. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Let's be honest, any of your players would walk straight into our team . I'd probably take Drogba, Mata or Sturridge (For the long term). - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? You'll win. I reckon 3-1. Nuge for us. We'll be up for it and give it a go but your quality will probably tell in the end. It'll be a great day out regardless of the result.

Poor season due to the high amounts spent creating high expectations - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Nugent and konchesky have been solid but in terms of players i think could cut it at Chelsea, Kasper Sch has class, Sol Bamba is increadible could cut it at a higher level could be the biggest mistake ever and Schlupp is a prospect who could become a good player - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Drogba, a presence and i think he could be a good player to get us out this league - Finally, what do you think the final score will be We play well against good opposition but the bookies odds are calculated and suggest we have only a tiny chance of winning in reality 3 - 1 Chelsea. A little disappointing , same old "too much too soon" wanted by owners , hopefully they can learn to be patient but I doubt it. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? They all can have very good days and very bad days , but Nugent is a bit special IMO - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Keith Weller , OK Droghba it seems so long since we had a regular goal machine - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? I think we'll sneak 2-1 because hopefully it will be one of those days when they all click ( I'm a over optimistic idiot though)

Probably 12/13 years. - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? It's been horrible, really. FA Cup aside, which has had two really good results (a third on Sunday, we hope). It took us until last week to win twice on the bounce, so we've been too inconsistent. We win against Southampton, Brighton, Birmingham, Blackpool etc, give everyone hope then next game go and lose to Doncaster, Bristol City, Millwall. We have battered local rivals everywhere though, which is always pleasing. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Kasper has kept us in so many games. Nuge has scored our goals, and Konchesky has been solid throughout. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Ramires. He's boss. Everything about him is boss. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? We always seem to perform better against the better teams. But the better teams in our league are a little bit worse than Chelsea. So we'll see. But probably 2-1/3-1.

No, it's been a poor season given the outlay on the squad. There are no excuses for our league form. The cup has been a saviour. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Look out for David Nugent, who has the work rate and also the finish to hurt teams. Kasper Schmeichel and Paul Konchesky have been the other two stand outs this season. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Lampard's goal return is phenomenal, so I'd take him. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? You should have too much for us. 3-1 to Chelsea.

Minimal improvement, a managerial sacking, a lack of consisten performances and ultimately underachievement in the league. FA cups been a bright spot 3) Nugent for his all round contribution. I dont want you watching Schmeichel and laying seige to his goal 4) Essien would be the type of gritty player with that extra quality a championship side needs, Mata and Sturridge for the long term have excellent quality 5) We will battle bravely and put on a good performance, but lose 2-0.

mattsmith74 Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 1. 30 odd years since the days of Lineker 2. Been one of most inconsistent seasons I can remember. Great victory away at Soton and Bristol City have done the double over us. Played especially well in the cup. Shame Chelsea not from the Midlands as we have a great record against locals. 3. Nugent been exceptional all year and works his socks off. Kind of game Beckford will thrive on. Dyer decent wide left and we potentially have a solid back 4. Struggle v big strikers tho so will be interesting to see if Drogba plays. 4. I'd take Frank Lampard. Been treated appalling by AVB and still one of best English midfielders. I really like Sturridge too. You lot need to look after him or he'll move. 5. As with all other posts its a heart v head moment. With Napoli game going to ET and massive game v Man City on Wed I expect some changes and that would be our chance. We'll concede but I'm going for a 1-1 draw and a win at KP. Payback for Erland Johnson's blatant dive all those years ago.

We have had a pretty shite season apart from the FA cup - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Watch out for Beckford very good FA cup player! also watch out for dyer has some fast pace and Neil Danns if he plays like he has been doing. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? I would go for Torres. Its obviously hes got to much much pressure at Chelsea. If he went to someone else I'm sure he will start scoring again. He is a quality player. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? 3-2 Leicester Beckford , Dyer and Nugent and Lampard and Torres for you

So I make that 12/13 years. - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? We've had some great results, and some not so good ones. Two words to sum up this season would be inconsistent and frustrating. Expectations at the start of the season haven't helped. I can see an improvement since Pearson has come back, and we still have a tiny chance of sneaking into the playoffs. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Kasper Schmeichel has been player of the season for me, he's saved us so many points, and some of his saves have left me wondering how he got to them. Kasper's closely followed by David Nugent. I don't think many of us thought he'd be our 20 goal a season man when he signed, but he's proving he can put the ball in the net as well as his work rate for the team being great. Paul Konchesky has also been consistently solid for us this season. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? To be honest I don't follow the premier league as closely as other people. But I like the look of Mata, looks like a Richie Wellens type player. I also always liked Torres, and wouldn't mind him on loan he's just low on confidence at the minute. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? Honestly? I think 3-1/3-2 Chelsea. But the optimist in me says we may be able to sneak a 1-0/2-1 Hope this helps

Not a good season, Playoffs were the minimum aim, whilst that isn't impossible yet it's highly unlikely, I don't really think we need to improve anywhere as in positions or players, but as a team we need to improve on consistancy, that is why we are mid-table, and unless we don't improve the consistancy we'll be in the same position this time next year. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Player of the season Kasper. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Drogba. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? My mind say 3-0 Chelsea, My heart says 1-2 Leicester.

Had some better decisions from the officials for a start! Changing management throughout the season hasn't helped. Our season should've gone better than it has done. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Nugent. A bargain on a free. We've a squad capable of doing damage to most teams on their day. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Mata. Shocking season really, a couple of great derby results and the FA Cup run aside. There's a list as long as my arm on what we could improve on, but to keep it short I'll say our midfield is the main problem, and the lack of belief and professionalism in the squad. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Schmeichel has been most fans' player of the season, very solid most of the time and has rescued us with some great saves. Nugent is our main threat up front, quality player at Championship level who works hard, and has 14 goals for us this season. We have other players who are capable of big games but the majority have failed to deliver on a consistent basis. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Mata, he's your best player IMO, creative, quick, very good passer, great first touch, can shoot from distance, typical Spanish player really. We are desperate fot some creativity in midfield. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? 2-1 City EIther that or we'll get hammered. Or narrowly lose. Or we'll hammer you. Or it will go to a replay.

Since i started playing football in early high school and needed to find out the rules.........so i asked my pop, his jaw dropped that on of all hisgrandchildren his favourite( well my brother is also a fav out of close to 30) and the one who loved AFL the most wanted to play football so he parted with his city guersey, it's my most tresured possesion and is hanging up on my bedroom wall never wore it out of respect for my pop. He is pretty ill at the moment and i reckon i will put it in his coffin when he is buried. (brings a tear to my eye but he is why i love city and in turn out of 30 odd grandchildren i'm the only one that supports city and visits and calls him plus i give him city results and have showed an interest in his past) - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? Poor season so much money and expectation. Yet we still couldn't make playoffs. plenty of goal. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? 2 spring to mind Kasper Schmicheal so many saves and saved points. especially early on in the season. Nugents has been brilliant with plenty of goals. - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Lampard, is an a-grade Knob like most of your players but would provide spark and creativity to a poor central midfeild. - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? davieG Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 - How long have you supported Leicester for? since the early 60s when being Chelsea born but living in Leicester I tended to follow both teams attending all LCFC home games and occasional Chelsea games when visiting relatives. Both teams had some fabulous players then Leicester had Banks, Gibson, Stringfellow & McLintock whilst Chelsea had the likes of Bonetti, Cooke, Hudson and Osgood but I had to make a choice when we played Chelsea in the FL Cup which we eventually lost and chose Leicester . I've been LCFC ever since and only take a passing interest in Chelsea now. - You are currently sitting in 11th position, have you had a good season and where could you of improved? No, but then compared to the last decade so, so. Virtualy every where from the owners, managers, experienced players down to every last sub used no one can really hold their head up high and say we tried our best. - Which players should we look out for and who has been your stand out player this season? Nugent - If you could pick one Chelsea player to join Leicester who would it be and why? Regardless of what happens tomorrow and possibly the latter rounds, no this season will not have been a success in the eyes of our owners, football pundits and some of our fans. I'd much prefer to win the cup than get promoted this season, but i bet our owners would disagree! A massive lack of consistentcy has been our downfall. We can beat norwich away, holding their own in the prem, but cant beat Barnsley at home. 3. Kasper, Nugent SSL and Konchesky have been brilliant for us, with a shout out to Beckford too. 4. Sturridge. The only English player Chelsea have who I like. Up to now! Cracking young prospect. 5. Part of me thinks 4 0 to you. The other part thinks if we get in your faces and play our own game and create some xhances we could snatch a 2 1 win.

Has to be Mata for me, he's been your best signing in a while! - Finally, what do you think the final score will be? If I am honest I think if we turn up on the day just like Norwich there's no reason we could win it, I think it will be 2-1 to us with Nugent scoring first (That's what I am hoping because iv had a bet on that ) I would be happy for a draw aswell, even if we turn up on the day and lose I wouldn't mind.
