strattylcfc Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Oh my god we would be so worse off if we didn't have him!
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Kaspers an incredible shot stopper, the best I've seen at LCFC. But the way he is rooted to his line and his inability to come and claim corners and crosses is costing us.
munf1987 Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Kasper is prob the best keeper we've had since Ian Walker. He is still a young keeper and still learning. There is not a chance of getting a perfect keeper at this level and would say Kasper is as good as most keeper in the prem, So what is the problem? We could do with picking up a exp keeper who is happy to sit on the bench but help Kasper along but then again he has his dad. If you want a keeper to pass it around nicely at the back we should get Ricardo back. Kasper is brilliant for the counter attack, he has clearly been told to do this. If you watch the teams that do play from the back, like swansea last season. They have the full backs drop out wide to collect, if they are marked they will push up taking the markers with them and the wingers drop back to collect. Also cb drop out wide allowing cm to collect, it can be done but Pearson obv doesn't choose to do it
Mack Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 1 He's saved us more times that I can remember this season. 2 If the sieve of a defence in front of him did it's job better he wouldn't be so bloody busy every game. 3 No one is perfect and I'm sure the man himself would admit he's still learning, but he's still a superb keeper. 4 You are barking up the wrong tree if you are looking to solve our problems by changing our keeper, he is more than capable at this level.
Foxy Bingo Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 He is possibly our best and most consistent player. Him and Nugent have been our best signings by far..why can't our fans appreciate this when they see it? Yes, he had a shocker at Chelsea but for God's sake we'll miss him when he's gone.
L4EV Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Ohh and btw incase some of you didnt know, Kasper is back on twitter! so im sure some one will soon question him about many things & tell him where he is going wrong... Then you will be greeted with "bore off zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"
GLC Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Kasper for me has been the best keeper we've had for a good few years and he shouldn't be blamed for most of the goals let in, if we had a more consistant defence/Midfield we wouldn't concede half the goals we do
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 I can guarantee that without Kasper this season we would be even further from the play offs. A couple of bad games should not change the fact he is one of the few shining lights this season. He is still young in goalkeeping terms so should get better still. We are lucky to have somebody of his calliber in the team.

Couldnt agree with you more. People seem far more happy to pipe up about his faults but dont give the guy credit for saving us X amount of times this season. imo, hes the best keeper we've had since the MON era.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Got tbh I'm abit disappointed with distribution on FIFA! Kickings well below par!!
Happy Fox Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 I just have a feeling he will be gone come the summer, I cannot see him staying here, I think I have read he is going to be part of Denmark's squad for the Euros and more than likely some club foreign or in the prem will put in a bid and it's goodbye Kasper . it will be a sad day when we goes, so enjoy these 9 last games.
MrSpaM Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Must admit over the past few games there have been a few goals scored that i would have thought he'd have done better with, especially a couple of the Man City Chelsea ones. I think overall he's been a massive improvement on the garbage we had under Sven to start with though, and he has saved us points throughout the season with some of his saves so cant really moan.

MrSpaM Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Man City should really wake up before post on here, my bad
NeilyBoy Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 should really wake up before post on here, my bad In any case it's not as embarrassing as starting a thread slating our most outstanding man this season... I woke up this morning, remembered this thread from last night and thought "d'oh! I must have been effing tired last night to be fooled into believing a wum topic was genuine". Then I came for the double check and saw it's perfectly serious.

I also think he will leave, certainly PL bound. But I hope he stays. If he leaves I think we could get Marton Fulop. His contract is running out and last time he was here he wanted to stay but Sunderland's demands were to high.

If we are going for a replacement for Kasper than Tom Heaton would be my choice a very competent keeper at his level. Or we could sign Alex Smithies from Huddersfield
Jace Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Show me a world class goalkeeper that doesn't make mistakes and I was show you a real life unicorn. Even his dad possibly the greatest goalkeeper the world has seen made hundreds, probably thousands of mistakes and blunders. He’s a fantastic keeper and we are likely to have him
Big Dave Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 The last few matches, I have been a little disappointed by KS - I think he has cost us a few points. I think one of the issues is the lack of a good quality substitute keeper. If we had a better stand-in, I would be tempted to "rest" KS for a couple fof matches. Pleas edont slate me for saying this, as I think overall he has been one of the better performers, but is not in the best of form at the moment.
Krimbinho Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 If we are going for a replacement for Kasper than Tom Heaton would be my choice a very competent keeper at his level. Or we could sign Alex Smithies from Huddersfield I'm not that convinced by Heaton, never was even during his Man Utd (my other favourite team) times. But I have to admit, I haven't seen play for a few years. As for Smithies, he would also be a good choice. Young with plenty of L1 experience, certainly time to move a league up, but he has just returned from an long-term injury, so there are little doubts how strong he will be for the last few games.
Charl91 Posted 23 March 2012 Posted 23 March 2012 Had a couple of poor games recently, but overall a very good season for him. No complaints from me!
