STEVIE B Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 harbs is pretty much leicester and prem teams as far as i'm aware Wasn't there a very mini group of Forest fans from Harboro' that had meetings a few years ago ? Mostly City fans though, but plenty of Liverpool,Man Utd and Chelsea 'fans' hang about the pubs when their lot are on the box.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Living up in Skegness, it's a bizarre mix with there being no FL teams for miles around. Forest are probably the most popular club up here; then there's a smattering of City, Leeds and Sheffield Utd/Weds fans with a fair few glory hunters as well. Never met a Derby fan up here weirdly.
I am Rod Hull Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Urgh, you're welcome to the sound of crickets and the smell of cow shit! Cow shit fights were great when I was a kid and dried cow pats make excellent frisbees. And the sound of crickets is much better than the sound of police sirens.
Zingari Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 New Parks is pretty evenly split between city fans and career criminals
Finnegan Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Cow shit fights were great when I was a kid and dried cow pats make excellent frisbees. I remember playing football against Kegworth and their pitch literally had cowpats all over the place. Horrendous. New Parks is pretty evenly split between city fans and career criminals
speedwayson Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Bottesford far more red than blue even though it's in leics. grrrrrrr where, thats in the middle of no where
Head Honcho Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Lived on Saff and Highfields and everyone was Leicester :city:
Guest Col city fan Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Bit of a tangent this but I've just been on a drugs and alcohol awareness course ( for work, not myself) and Market Harborough apparently has the biggest drugs problem amongst young men in the county. Relatively affluent and direct rail links to London being the cause. Anyway, back to the footy...
rico Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 i lived on Northfields , majority were Leicester with a few,Liverpool,Man Utd and Leeds
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 When I was younger, Loughborough used to be Forest & Liverpool biased and a bit City, but as Forest deteriorated and we grew through the nineties it became more City focused and that's kinda hung around. I now live in the middle of nowhere, I suppose East Leake is the closest town, which is still in Leicestershire... just... & that's a tad more Forest than City, their promotion then successive playoff appearances under Billy Davies drew them out of the woodwork East Leake is in Nottinghamshire, although has Leicestershire postcodes etc. My dad lives in East Leake. Im originally from Loughborough, for about 30+ of the last 40 years and its always felt around 50/50 between City fans and the F****t fans, however as its in LEICESTERSHIRE all Notts fans should be deported

She's a forest fan.. The cow! Certainly nearer Notts than Leicester is East Leake mate.

Just to clarify Loughborough is in LEICESTERSHIRE (where all F****t fans should be ashamed of themselves ) and the mighty Blues should be in the ascendency East Leake is in Nottinghamshire but with LE12 postcodes and a Loughborough dialling code for landlines which is why its slightly tipped with Reds
Head Honcho Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 i lived on Northfields , majority were Leicester with a few,Liverpool,Man Utd and Leeds Don't forget Highfield Rangers Rick ...............and The Full Moon pool team!

The FA cup win was very memorable at our place...

I saw "The Lincolnshire Ram" (as his shirt said) getting on a train towards Skegness last summer. He must be the only one, Derbyshire people are a hill-dwelling folk.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I've tried to convert her but she's told me to Fook off on many occasions. The FA cup win was very memorable at our place... i actually know a lot of F****t fans growing up in Loughborough in the late 70's and early 80's when they were winning European Cups etc and all the glory hunters came out of the woodwork. Ive actually had a few "to do's" with friends/people i have known for years in the area, i still insist they should all move over the border and leave Leicestershire to Leicester fans to live (only joking before some do gooder post some inane rubbish)

absolutelegend Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I reckon loughborough (excluding students) is vast majority leics (maybe 3/4), most of the remainder is forest, then a few derby but not many
potter3 Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Think there was 1 Derby fan at school in Coalville, and we wasn't even originally from the area. There were more Sunderland and Leeds fans than any other midlands team in fact.
