SemperEadem Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Hinckley and Lutterworth are pretty much a city towns just with the odd Cov scum fan and glory hunting boys. I was wondering are towns like Market Harborough the same just with say more cobblers fans and is this similar for places like Coalville with Derby fans?
Guy Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I know this is off track re Leics but there are loads of City fans in Kettering and Wellingborough, albeit Northants towns of course. I was born in Lutterworth in the late 60s and have supported City ever since, despite living 250 miles away from LE1 nowadays! :-)
cc_star Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 When I was younger, Loughborough used to be Forest & Liverpool biased and a bit City, but as Forest deteriorated and we grew through the nineties it became more City focused and that's kinda hung around. I now live in the middle of nowhere, I suppose East Leake is the closest town, which is still in Leicestershire... just... & that's a tad more Forest than City, their promotion then successive playoff appearances under Billy Davies drew them out of the woodwork
FoxyLouby Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I used to work in Luffbra and would say was 50/50 LCFC/Forest. There should be a law that says you support the team of your shire or be publicly flogged....IMHO.
speedwayson Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 you meet plenty of forest scum bags in melton mowbray pork pie capital world and on country file tonight great this is true
FuriousFox46 Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Plenty of Leicester fans in Northants and Stamford in Lincolnshire. I live in Whetstone, and it's all Leicester, not even many glories.
Moto Hello Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I've never met a Cobblers fan in Market Harborough. Everyone is either Leicester or a glory hunters, including a sudden rise of man city fans. A few Leeds fans though. Also in areas like Kettering and Corby there are a lot of Leicester fans.
nealsimbo Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 i used to live in ashby and it was leicester, derby then the glory hunters at the time liverpool, man utd and forest.Thats why around here leicester fans hate derby more, sheep shaggers
ramboacdc Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 never met a derby fan in coalville never been in the snibby then?
Sly Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Northwest Leicestershire towns like Coalville, Ashby seems to be split between Leicester, Forest, Derby and Leeds!!
leicesterisme Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 I know quite a few Derby fans in Coalville, dont know one forest fan though.
Out Foxed Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 harbs is pretty much leicester and prem teams as far as i'm aware
sphericalfox Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Northwest Leicestershire towns like Coalville, Ashby seems to be split between Leicester, Forest, Derby and Leeds!! I'd say Ashby (in order) - LCFC, MUFC, DCFC, NFFC, other non specific Prem glory hunters, county immigrants (LUFC, PUFC, etc)
Jace Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Cornwall is all Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester City
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 Coalville is 99% city. Ashby 50/50 with the other sort

Finnegan Posted 25 March 2012 Posted 25 March 2012 The sticks > towns and cities Urgh, you're welcome to the sound of crickets and the smell of cow shit! Aren't you Welsh? Yes - believe it or not that doesn't mean I was born in the middle of nowhere and I live in a City by choice.
