Paul Gallagher could be in line for a return to action against Doncaster this weekend, as City bid to kick-off a crucial Easter weekend with three points at King Power Stadium.

Gallagher has been sidelined with knee trouble since the FA Cup defeat at Chelsea last month, but has resumed full training this week and will be under consideration for the clash with the npower Championship's bottom club.

The Foxes' dead-ball specialist has scored nine times in 30 appearances this season and his return comes as a welcome boost to boss Nigel Pearson, whose play-off chasers travel to Ipswich on Monday following their date with Rovers.

Darius Vassell and Martyn Waghorn have also stepped up their training regimes as they continue their comebacks from respective knee and hamstring injuries, but neither will be considered for Saturday.

"Gally's training with us so hopefully he'll be in contention," Pearson revealed on Thursday.

"Vassell's been training with us as well, but we're not quite sure when he's going to be ready.

"Waghorn has stepped up his training so he's a little bit closer. We're getting there."

Doncaster boss Dean Saunders has several injury situations to resolve, with defenders Pascal Chimbonda and Shelton Martis topping the list with respective hamstring and groin complaints.

Saunders rates both as "touch and go" for the game at King Power Stadium, but both trained on Thursday, along with on-loan West Ham striker Frederic Piquionne, who suffered a knock after opening the scoring in last Friday's 3-1 defeat to Birmingham.

Midfielder Brian Stock could return after recovering from a torn groin muscle, while Habib Beye should continue in defence despite an ankle problem.

Agree with this apart from King. King and Wellens were an abysmal centre midfield pairing earlier on in the season,

Drinkwater in for King and that's the team i'd choose.

for the amount of money we spent last summer, out team really is shit.

i'd go with:

Kasper

Wellens

Drinkwater

Dyer

Nugent

Beckford

Subs; Howard, Bamba, Schlupp, Drinkwater, Hopper

I'd pick the same, but with King or Gallagher instead of Hopper on the bench.

just before anyone picks me up on it, i realise i have used drinkwater twice. i guess i must love him.

lol Oh yeah! Obviously, I missed that, too. In that case, King and Gallagher on the bench instead of Hopper and Drinkwater mkII.

What's the situation with watching streams of home games? Away in Dubai currently and want to watch it... Sweeet

There was a sticky thread about live streaming. Can't see it now. Somewhere on this site, http://truesport.truelife.com/# usually has streams of home games. You have to register to get a decent picture, but it's free.

Edit: Found it! http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/67152-live-streaming-of-lcfc-games-look-in-here/page__pid__2132693__st__2260#entry2132693

At home, this should be an easy easy win for us. But i just do not know what to expect any more. I'm thinking 3-1 us. But if we fail to win, I wont be gobsmacked. Heres the team I would probably play

Kasper

Konch

Bamba

Morgan

SSL

Marshall

Drinkwater

Dyer

Gally

Schlupp

Nugent

Subs: Pelts, Wellens, King, Hopper, Beckford

Might as well give Schlupp a start and why not Include someone like Hopper or even Moore a chance to come on from the bench, see if they cut the mustard or not.

Interesting, but if that happens, I'll take a dump in my hat, then I'll eat my hat.

That midfield! I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and guess that's a diamond, with Drinkwater holding and Gally as an attacking central midfield. I think we'd get bumraped, especially seeing as Gallagher has been out for a while and probably isn't fit enough to start.

I think Schlupp should get a start soon, but I think Nugent could do with a rest if anyone's going to be dropped to the bench. I also expect to see Beckford start, because I doubt NP would want to fuel the rumours of a bust up, and I think NP would probably want to give JB a chance to make up for his display last week. Although, on the off chance there really was a falling out, maybe Beckford will be left out.

Disagree. Our inability to score lately is embarrassing. Nothing against Forest and Pboro, two lowly teams. Gally has his critics, and often rightly so, but if you cannot score i dont see why sticking him in the attacking midfield role is a bad idea. We all liked the look of the Pboro team but it didn't work. Bamba in Midfield didn't go how people wanted, and the midfield / attacking line couldn't muster enough for a goal. Give Gally another chance and he might just stick in a 30 yarder to win the match.

Brighton lost 1-0 to Burnley today, If we win on saturday we will be 4 points off... :D

We won't. Cardiff and 'Boro play each other, meaning it will be at least 5.

Yeah, I agree that trying Gallagher in the hole is a good idea, I just don't think it would work with the rest of the midfield you chose. It's not sturdy enough, whether Dyer and Marshall are out wide, or playing out of position as central midfielders. Gallagher might be effective as the AMC in a three man midfield like we've been using recently, with any two of Danns, Wellens, King, Drinkwater or at a push Bamba behind him, but I think Gallagher as a central midfielder in a 4-4-2 would be asking for trouble.
