I'll start. Why on earth would we sell our 3 senior goalkeepers and get a shit one in on loan?
Leicesterpool Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 One play we must bring in is Jamie Vardy I can see great partnership between Nugent and Vardy.

blue army 1988 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 You know who I think we shouls sign who would be a good target man................................................................. Emile Heskey
Father Ted Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 He don't have to be a target man. As long as whoever we sign/ if we sign a striker can hold the ball up. O'Neill teams were so successful because we always had this, Claridge, Heskey, Cottee, all could hold the ball up. They don't necessarily have to win everything in the air - prime example being Dickov - he would back into the defender, use his body to keep the ball and wait for support as well as running the channels.
Fjällräven Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Fjällräven, on 12 April 2012 - 02:27 PM, said: Couple of shouts: Christian Benteke - Genk Bas Dost - SC Heerenveen Kim Ojo - SK Brann Mathias Ranégie - Malmö FF André Senghor - Bani Yas Club - Admittedly not the best of leagues, but the guy looks pretty amazing. Bas Dost would be an incredible signing, and shouldn’t cost more than we offered for Jelavic, but he’s probably bound for the Premier League. No chance of any of those. Bas Dost has been on fire this season, and he's bound for bigger and better things next year. I completely agree on Dost (and I also wrote that he’ll probably end up in the PL), and to some degree Benteke, but the other three really aren’t far fetched. Senghor apparently wants a transfer to a European club/better league, and both Ojo and Ranégie would be better of in the Championship both in terms of wages and the quality of football.

I meant it as in that I think the likelihood of us targeting those players is very small, not that it would necessarily be unrealistic for those three to appear in a Championship side. Although I have very limited knowledge on any of them, so I'm not sure how good they are.
Fjällräven Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I meant it as in that I think the likelihood of us targeting those players is very small, not that it would necessarily be unrealistic for those three to appear in a Championship side. Although I have very limited knowledge on any of them, so I'm not sure how good they are. You’re probably right about that. Generally speaking, the best players in the Norwegian and Swedish Premier League are good enough for Championship sides, however players from the latter category seems to prefer or be prefered by Dutch teams. The players pouring out of Sweden are, also generally speaking, Swedish, but players who transfer from Norway to England these days are more likely to be foreigners, such as Robert Koren, Seyi Olofinjana, Paul Scharner, Mame Biram Diouf, Anders Lindegaard and Somen Tchoyi, which of many would certainly be regular starters for Leicester. Sorry if I seem a bit Scandicentric here, but these are the players I see week in and out, so they are also the players I feel I can give a little input about, or just toss their names into the bowl for fun. Don’t really follow League 1 or 2 that closely. It’s not very likely that any of these players will be targeted by Leicester, that’s true, but Kim Ojo seems like the archetype player for a move over the North Sea; young, African, fast, goal scoring and physically imposing. Plus crazy, and I mean totally crazy, about Jesus. But he’s probably not Pearson’s cup of target man-tea. He seems to prefer snappy, more mobile youngsters like fan favorite and super-sub Steve Howard.
