Some strange and unrealistic names popping up

Bothroyd for me he's not cutting it in the prem.

Why would we want him then? He's ageing, and if with some luck we can get promoted this year/next year, we're left with someone on high wages who won't have become better than he is now.

Good shout for Bothroyd. Not getting many games at QPR and proven at this level. Failing that Kevin Davies. Granted he's getting on a bit but i reckon we'd get a cupple of good years out of him. Look at Kevin Phillips at blackpool.

Kevin Davies? Wasn't the whole point that Howard is now well past it, and you suggest bringing in another grandpa who's struggling to get game time at relegation threatened Bolton despite being a club icon?

Yakubu, Bobby Zamora? As and when Blackburn and QPR are relegated.

Why would Yakubu come this time then? Bobby Zamora will be on astronomical wages...

Lukaku on loan... failing that I'd take Villa from Barca, not getting much match time

Again, this guy was playing European football last year. If he goes on loan, it won't be to a Championship club that's for sure!

Kevin Phillips is free this summer... Player/Coach 2 Year contract anyone? Yes i've been playing too much football manager.

When has Phillips been a target man? Always regarded him as a poaching type striker. Hardly a big, strong player that will hold up the ball...

If we're using games to form legitimate opinions on players, that Wilfried Bony at NAC Breda looks like a must buy! Go on Nige, trust FM on this! :D

I thinks he's trying to say he saw him on FIFA so checked him out (youtubed or whatever) n liked the look. Iv been a fan of this lad for couple of years and would be class and wants a move to England he stated in a recent interview. Go check him out!

I would love Chris Wood!!!! a legitimate kiwi fox!! Not just a target man, he's quick and intelligent with the ball at feet.

^^ I did what u said and checked him out the kid looked class would be very suprised if no premiership clubs are intrested in him, and I bet he reccomends a very heavy price tag?

Bayern, Napoli, Chelsea and Fulham were all interested in January.

Been impressed with Chris Wood when i've seen him, i'd say him the most outta all the names branded about so far in this thread (some realistic, some not)

Chris Wood. Mobile target man who is a threat in the air and on the floor... Always felt we should have tried to get him before Bristol City.

Although Most would like Becchio is he a pearson type player!?

i wouldnt a thought so, personally i cant stand him...cheating like a b*tch when I saw him against Reading.

Chris Wood is a good shout but I cant see WBA selling him tbh...& if they did I'm pretty sure lower premiership teams would certainly sniff about :(

Maybe I bring Joshua King to the table from Hull (Man Utd) he impressed me a lot gainst us. He won a lot in the air and on the ground, very strong on the ball and great movement. Plus he fits the Pearson type signing.

I like Chris Wood as well and Becchio ha worked well with Beckford before.

Haha maybe we'll go in for Ched Evans again, and this time the level of vitriol will be non-existent!

I thought that but one of my manchester freinds said to my that sir Alex ferguson has very high hopes for this lad and it's unlickley he will sell next year, He also said that Sir Alex ferguson is planning on selling Macheda, personally don't rate him but could he be a option?

Im sure WBA offered Chris wood to all teams in the summer for a price of around £1m? Could be wrong

Finally if Bayern,Napoli,Chelsea and fulham where intrested in Wilfred bony then we will have no chance I would imagine he would cost at least 5m!?

What about that yaya sonogo ( I think that's how u spell it? ) isn't he a mobile target man?

What about that diouf lad the youngster from Manchester united im sure he was a target man to0?

Just thought I would name a few more!

Diouf went to Hannover(I think) recently on a permanent deal so probably a no go.

Sanogo is again an FM prodigy but still hasn't played many times for Auxerre, I think Arsenal were interested last year but he got injured, maybe a possibility but seems unlikely.

2.Traore- Must be honest found out about this lad whilst playing FIFA he plays for a bottom half side in the Russian premier league he is 6 foot 8 would cost around 3m but has a rocket of a left foot and is a beast in the air!

One man... LACINA TRAORE! Great target man and scores goals followed him from his days at FC cluj and I see big things and he's holding his own in the Russian prem against some top quality free spend teams, Nig... This is our man!

people annoy me with futaczs(can't spell) he isn't as good as people say, one game wonder, if he was so good wouldn't other teams picked up by now? Still Henderson would be my best bet although I can see Pearson getting someone a little younger

This Henderson thing annoys me. One season wonder. He was woeful at best for Sheffield United and he is the wrong side of 30.

Anyone but Heskey. He is not simply not good enough for a team aspiring for promotion and would certainly want an above average wage salary.

How misguided can you get, what do you base the above average wagon? This is the guy who put up a good wedge when we went bust so I am of the view that if he wants to make it work he will and he will pull up trees for us, nonone could ever doubt his commitment to the team or club.

His legs/fitness may be any issue but I'd rather have see him playing for 60 mins or coming off the bench, pay as u play would be manic. Howmany players of his class would sign for us, and how many can play back to goal

? Think about it,

Jay Bothroyd or Chris Wood for me. But I reckon Wood would be more of a Pearson player. Besides if QPR to get relegated I would imagine some of there better players would leave. So then they would have a strike force of like DJ Campbell and Jay Bothroyd
