Question for the happy clappers

Clearly didn't meet Mr Durham there then

Haha - he's a good lad. Likes to provoke a debate or 20 but he actually knows a lot about football. Even if he is a Peterborough fan

Whereas Bentley's Roof is the opposite where 80% of the posts are a stream of bile and invective about PSI, BAMS and happy clappers who blindly support the team with posters calling the manager a CU NT and banging on and on and on that he must go NOW and take loads of the useless players with him etc.

i wouldn't disagree with your assessment, but nobody mentioned BR.

like most on here, i of course hope we can do it, but we do have this habit of continually shooting ourselves in the foot, so i'm afraid, i have to take a realistic stance, rather than an optomistic one, and therefore lessening the blow, if we do eventually fail

I didn't think we had a chance, but when you get to the vinegar stroke it is different.

At this point it is about form and bottle and I think we have a bit of form and others haven't. So that has come at the right time.

With regards to bottle, even when we have played poorly an you could expect us to fold, we have come back with a decent performance.

So as from now, it's about us, but also how much bottle the others have and can they pull themselves out of their poor form patch.

Looking at it, we have the strongest team too, so there really is a very good chance we can sneak in there

So basically you're trying to deceive yourself. You'll be telling yourself 'meh, they won't make it, so why should I bother', but if we mess it up you'll still be angry. Likewise, if it's all to play for in the last game, you won't be apathetic towards it, so stop kidding yourself.

I wouldn't ever call myself a happy clapper. Most of the time, i'm as angry, frustrated, annoyed and negative as the constantly negative fans. Anyone who's seen my posts on the orange championship board will know that but I try not to transmit that to other City fans and definitely the team, it really doesn't help. What's the harm in everyone getting 100% behind the team for 4 games? It's only 4 games, it won't kill you. If we don't make it, everyone can go back to being their normal negative selves and say I told you so. We stand more chance of doing it without the negativity from the stands though

Been there done it and seen it for many years, not a happy clapper or deluded i just think this is a crazy league we have the momentum we will win our games and other results will fall in our favour! I acually believe it could transpire that if we beat the hammers on the monday night we have secured our spot that's how crazy I think this league is! if it doesn't happen so be it, however i do not think ANYBODY has the right to lambast someone for being positive or otherwise!!!!!

It is not being negative, it is in fact being positive.

This club has had 127 years of mostly disappointment and failure, so to read peoples comments that we will hit the play offs after another underwhelming season is bound to attract comment from those of us that know better than to be taken in by the bullcrap and false hope that City invariably churn out.

If anyone thinks that a club that still plays Wellens, Gallagher, Howard regularly and has a bully as a manager will gain promotion is very deluded.

I am POSITIVE that this current shower of shilo will not get us into the play offs.

An opinion you are entitled too, and those of YOU who know better have no more of a crystal ball than positive fans!!!!!!!!

Just like eveybody else on here i use my real name.

alright twice in 13 months, still not a great portent is it?

Been supporting them since 1970.

Probably been to more games than you've had hot dinners.

and yes, years of supporting them have turned me into this shell of a man you now see before you.

for those of you paying attention, ad hominem arguments don't make my points go away, even though swearing and shouting with caps lock on may make you think you're more right than me.

Bet you haven't been to more games than me. 1967 (the year) and counting.
