It was unprofessional, yes, but getting sacked for sticking the fingers up? No chance. Footballers are in the spot light! They can't afford slip ups like that! I'd sack a footballer for blatantly swearing at my clubs fans if I was the gaffer!

If he actually did something bad then fair enough but it's swearing at someone that's given him shit. This is the last I have to say about it. IMO it's a non-incident and I really cannot believe some people are saying they would SACK HIM.

One time he had an argument with a fan. It'll all blow over and hopefully he'll be here next season.

It means he cares, he's a WINNER - something we need more of at this club and something we had last time around under NP.
