Leicesterpool Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 I love Heskey, put watching him at Villa over the last few seasons he comes across as slow, clumsy and past it. He would be a fat version of Beckford i'm afraid, sorry to be blunt Heskey!

terry Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 what the guy who is still one of the best second strikers in the league. he's been slow and clumsy for about 5 years, beckford or nugent would score twice as many playing with him. you only have to look at owens stats with him or not with him, to prove how unselfish he is... still blame houllier for taking the directness out of him.

Nugent, Beckford or Schlupp working off him, wow. I hope he does come home for a season or two if not I think we should go for Jay Bothroyd, him with either of the mentioned above would also be quality.

Also my friend has a Box at villa, so I'v been to some games in the past few seasons and seen a fair amount on TV. I love Heskey as a person (still have my football with his autograph on) but as a player, I don't think he's really up for it anymore. Though I would still prefer him over Howard.
