Its not patronising. Its common sense.

Not commenting on what you were saying just the single minded comment made me laugh.

This will no doubt sound narrow minded to you, but here goes.... GET A FKIN JOB THEN! If lifes so hard for you and money is so tight, work Saturdays and sack the idea of football off whilst at Uni.

Its called prioritising?

As I said a few pages back, I will be at Uni from 9-5 for 5 days a week. On top of that I will need to study as well as travelling time to and from Loughborough. So before you come spurting shit to me, read up the circumstances and use your pea brain to figure.

Yes it is being narrow minded, you are stereotyping yet again. I am going to university to enhance my chances of having a successful career in the future whereas several people I know are doing mickey-mouse courses and wasting away but again you put both in the same boat... I really do give up with you. You are nothing but a loser and people like you are the ones dragging society down with uneducated, narrow minded, extreme and ignorant opinions with a lack of flexibility and thought about other ideas/opinions that may also have some credibility.

lol

You're spouting all these moral cards, yet you state that several people you know are "doing mickey mouse courses and wasting away".

That's no different to anyone studying full time at college though. Sorry but you could work at weekends then. You yourself made the choice to go to uni. Just as I made a choice not to. When you make a choice there are often sacrifices you have to make. Yes its patronising but surely you realised this?

Good argument there,,, Away games wasn't the only thing I used EMA on but mainly transport to and from college...

Nice to know you squandered tax payers money to go to football matches , because of course that's exactly why they gave you it wasn't it .

So if you have a mortgage to pay for and you're struggling why don't you get a job on Saturdays and Sundays, sorry but you should. You made the choice not to go to university. Sorry for being patronising.

Well no because EMA is effectively a bribe for people from poor-income households who are bright to continue through education - as a result gaining better qualifications and paying more tax in the long run. If I was in my 30's + I would happily contribute to young people having EMA.

What a pathetic argument! I'm struggling no more or less than anyone else with a mortgage. Its up for debate whether I get a ST next year. But I'm not crying about the fact that the club don't do discounts for people with a mortgage. But yes, if it ever got to the point where I was desperate for money I'd get another job at weekends, and that would entail not going to the football. Its the price you pay for wanting something badly (me a house, you a degree)

Hardly relevant. I know some people who are racist, that doesn't mean I can't be moral.

EDIT: Unless I completely missed your point.

You stereo type by calling yourself a student. And while we are at can I have my tax money back because if you are a typical product of the system then we are all being had. With your IQ I wonder how you even got into University in the first place, still it keeps the unemployment figures down I suppose.

Well you are good at dodging the issues aren't you. E.M.A ( thank god it's scrapped ) was certainly not given to attend football matches , there are no arguments in that, but someone of your ilk will argue otherwise.

How is it a pathetic argument? It is identical to yours! I will leave home at 7 and come home at 6 on weekdays as well as studying time? You say I should get a job if I want something badly and you said for me that's a degree. The government loan system is in place to allow students to pay that back once they have finished their degree and so I don't need money for that reason!

Why is it that the "intelligent" students are resorting to personal abuse whereas the non-students are attacking the posts not the poster?

I guess this is what you get when you clear your ignore list and start reading drivel once more.

Why? Because I have an opinion and some valid points that people can't counteract? Just because I feel strongly that students should have discounted season tickets? Whats your IQ then Einstein?

That's just a lie. "I hope you're not studying ....." is personal abuse, however soft it appears.

AAnyway I'm still waiting waiting for the student intelligentsia on here to tell me why they think they should pay less to watch Leicester city than the rest of us. A question that has so far not been answered. Could it be there is no justifiable answer ?

Anyway it's all academical ( no pun intended ) You have been rumbled by the club and if you want to go to the matches you WILL pay the new prices. So coming on here bleating the poor old student shit changes absolutely nothing.

Here is a piece of advice . Life is shit , you just have to get used to the smell that's all.

If you consider that abusive then go to your modem, unplug it and smash it repeatedly into your face until one of the two breaks - you should not be on the internet.

I have never understood why children, students and OAPS should get it cheaper than an average adult anyway. At the end of the day, you take up one seat whether however old you are. Why should some pay more than others for the same seat.

Okey dokey You still have not given a valid reason why students should pay less at a football match than anyone else and do you believe E.M.A money should have been spent on going to away matches ?

This is in my case and most likely many students:

  • No personal income.
  • No time to get a job as well as study ---> No personal income.

I think those two points are major and when you compare them to the £80 a week apprentice at the same age that Stu used an example, the situation contrasts greatly.

I didn't say it bothers me I'm just saying it is personal abuse. It is abuse (as I said, however soft) directed at a person, not merely their point of view. Am I correct?

Precisely. The loan covers the education costs. If you want anything additional then you have to work for it.

I have answered the first point above.

Secondly, on EMA, I can spend it on what I like. Primarily, for me it's purpose was to use it on transport to an from school which equated to around £12 per week. Having received £30 per week, it left me with £18 extra which built up. I don't go out and drink, I don't smoke and generally don't buy luxury items, the only thing I really spend money on is following Leicester and so when the extra £18 per week is there why can't I spend it on what I like?

... You implied I should be working whilst doing my degree to pay off my degree though...????
