Guesty Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 That's the whole point they cannot check to see if the ticket holder is indeed a student , the logistics of trying to do that on the match day is a no no. That agree with but they can't on one hand go we got rid of it because students were abusing the system - then on the other hand say we don't know how many because we arn't able/never check them.
Merchant Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Has it ever crossed you small mind that people actually differ in intelligence levels ? Just because they were not mentally gifted enough to go to University in you opinion they have " blown it " Your arrogance is only overshadowed by your ignorance. I hope to god your not a student because if you are the future is bleak for this country. You're in no position to talk about arrogance, even in this post your condescension is ridiculous and implies you are open minded when you're arguing that people in a different financial position to you don't deserve to be priced into being able to watch Leicester. Yes I suppose that is all we can expect from a cliche merchant like you. Bdummtchhhh As I have already said going to a football match is a matter of financial choice it is not a necessity. Now if the club had some sort of reward system for season ticket holders , lets say after twenty years of continuous renewal a loyalty discount would then kick in then that would be exceptable . Would you also stop making assumptions about what I probably think you don't have a clue. So why should people who are going regularly get the chance to have a discount, ahead of someone who's supported City but not had enough money to pay for it, or is it more a case of you just fitting your own agenda again?
Matt Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Did you just choose to ignore my previous post? Because the majority of them have had a chance to gain a decent education and have blown it which is why they are in jobs which they can't afford one. Someone else who has been brainwashed by the education system.
flowwolf Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 That agree with but they can't on one hand go we got rid of it because students were abusing the system - then on the other hand say we don't know how many because we arn't able/never check them. Thing is Guesty they are never going to come out publicly and accuse students of cheating the system are they. So they do what they have just done scrap the concession for students and give no reason why.

EDIT: I meant in relation to the answer the person who you phoned up told you..
flowwolf Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 That was my point. I just wasn't sure if you seriously believed what you'd written. EDIT: I meant in relation to the answer the person who you phoned up told you.. Ok got you

Are you serious ? Do you think the club gives a shit about supporters who don't come through the turnstiles . They are running a business and like all successful businesses should reward their most loyal customers. What on earth are you going on about " agenda " do you even know what that means ? If you do please explain how it fits into this topic because I haven't a clue.

Exceptable I'll make a final assumption that you think only the rich should be able to go to the football then.
Mav Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 Flowwolf should support tigers like the rest of the stuck up pricks in Leicester do. Im not even a student and I think flowwolf is talking complete shit.

Exceptable I'll make a final assumption that you think only the rich should be able to go to the football then. I would have thought not so much assumption more a fact. You must have stuck your finger up your rectum in sheer delight at finding a spelling mistake , well done pass go and collect £200 it really drove your point home. For someone who assumes a lot you know so little.

No, but as BMT quite clearly demonstrated the club will probably lose money from getting rid of student prices, not gain money. And yeah maybe agenda was the wrong word, but you want discounts for long time season ticket holders (AKA you) and don't think student's deserve them (AKA not you)

For someone who assumes a lot you know so little. That attitude really is disgusting, only the rich deserve to go to the football? Christ. Oh i really know so little? I'm sure my grades would suggest otherwise, as well as the fact i currently have a choice to go to two of the top 4 universities in the country. I'm confident i won't have to worry about having a tight budget that a season ticket will need to fit in once i've left uni. I just think about people other than myself. I'd probably even be able to deal with paying the extra in the future, but students like myself next year just won't be able to afford to go. It's like you don't want us there. Pathetic.
flowwolf Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 No, but as BMT quite clearly demonstrated the club will probably lose money from getting rid of student prices, not gain money. And yeah maybe agenda was the wrong word, but you want discounts for long time season ticket holders (AKA you) and don't think student's deserve them (AKA not you) Well based on the facts that long term season ticket holders have paid full whack for many years into the club whereas students have never paid full whack at any of the games I think If i were the owners i know who i would reward. By the way I was a season ticket holder for last season only as my job had prevented me having one before, so no I don't expect any discounts what so ever for next season. As far as students go the club has saw fit to scrap their concessions for what ever reasons and as it stands I entirely agree with the club

Actually I think it is quite pathetic that you feel you have come on here and tell us all just how frightfully clever you are. Don't you realise that you should use a capital I when referring to yourself ? Are we supposed to be impressed with you choice of going to the top two out of four universities ? how childish and insecure does that make you look . Delusions of grandeur must run in your genes. And no I would dread the thought of having to sit next to a self obsessed " student " like you on any match day, but still that is not going to happen now anyway is it .
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 I am yet to decide but if there was student prices there would be no doubt in my mind and I wouldn't be 'bleating' about it on here... so I don't see your point there. It wouldn't even surprise me if the large majority of people arguing against student prices don't even have season tickets. I'm sure lcfcstu and flowwolf would be mate. I'd look at my finances and make a decision. If it was too much for me to afford and any sacrifices I made (cancel sky, downgrade my phone contract) wwouldn't suffice, I'd hold my hands up and not get one. You wouldn't see me crying about it on here. Noone has a divine right to do anything.

Wait until you graduate and then fly mummy and daddy's nest. Love to see you on the streets in a few years time

Once anybody mentions their individual circumstances you seem to think they're blowing their own trumpet. I'm merely highlighting how people who don't take 'mickey mouse' subjects as some people are saying on here, and have worked hard over the years, won't be able to watch a team they love to watch. No never knew that actually i've always put it like this on this forum as it takes less effort. Is that an 'exceptable' excuse? Oh yes it does, coming from a a family where my father was the first male in his family not to go down the pits. You really do disgust me. You think the rich should only be allowed to watch football, and are glad to see people missing out. Thank god i know i'll be more successful in life than you and happy in the knowledge i don't enjoy the fact other people can't go to a football game.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 April 2012 Posted 29 April 2012 The funniest thing about this thread is that the students were up in arms about us stereotyping them. And I can safely say 99% of them have come across as nothing more than jumped up pompous obnoxious arseholes. So thanks for reinforcing my prejudice of them, as it turns out I'm correct!

The funniest thing about this thread is the amount of bitter ***** that seem to love having a pop at students. You know what you're all a bunch of ****ing hypocrites if you needed your life saving by surgery from a doctor just remember that at one point they were a student and you'll be thanking God that they decided to be a "tax dodger", "obnoxious ****" or any of the other abusive insults some of you have chosen to throw out at students. Flowwolf especially would deserve being left to rot by a doctor, you've come across as nothing more than an abusive, old bitter human being!

You completely miss the irony of your own post. You have used your limited intelligence to post on here and make yourself look a complete fool. You have no idea what qualifications I have or what job I do and yet you launch into a childish tirade. One thing is quite clear your IQ would never get you into a university unless you become a caretaker. Now then guess what you have come across as ?

One thing is quite clear your IQ would never get you into a university unless you become a caretaker. Now then guess what you have come across as ? I'm not a student but I know a lot who are in fact I've lived with a few the past few years and I can safely say that they have worked hard in their degree's as well as working part time jobs because their loans don't cover everything. One of my best friends happens to be a trainee doctor and the amount of abuse he's copped from people he was trying to help in A+E for free because it's all unpaid work for them and because of that he can't afford to come to Leicester games with the rest of us; for you to then turn around and call student's tax dodgers and the numerous other insults that you have come out with is a disgrace. If it weren't for people willing to become students then this country would fall to shit - no bankers, no doctors, no lawyers, no nurses, no social workers, no chemists, no engineers......the list is endless. Just remember these current students are the future of this country, without them this country would be left behind by the rest of the world. I don't care if I come across as abusive because to be honest you deserve it unlike most of these students on here who were merely expressing their dismay at the price increase.

Oy clever clogs your still not using a capital I when referring to your self , you will lose marks on that in an English exam. Which ever way you look at it you still look very sad coming on here telling every one how clever you are when you are clearly not. And you know that you will be more successful in life than me do you ? Do you know me have we met ? your middle name must be " assumption " Now then please tell me where I have said only rich people should be allowed to go to matches , that ludicrous statement is a figment of your imagination and has no basis in reality. Check your post where you clearly said it was YOUR assumption.
